French President Emmanuel Macron urged calm before a march in Lyon organized by far-right groups to honor a man beaten to death this month in a street fight. The rally and march on Saturday will pay homage to 23-year-old Quentin Deranque, described by French media as a far-right activist. Three of the 11 people arrested in the attack told authorities they were part of or close to ultra-left movements, the Lyon prosecutor said Thursday. Macron, speaking to reporters Saturday morning in Paris, said he would meet with government ministers early next week to look at which violent groups operate in France and any links they may have to political parties. “In the Republic, no violence is legitimate,” he said. “There is no place for militias, wherever they come from. That’s it.” Deranque’s death has dominated headlines in France for a week, heightening tensions between Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally party and Jean-Luc Melenchon’s France Unbowed on the far left. Read more: France on Edge After Activist Dies From Fight at Political Event Le Pen’s party advised members not to attend Saturday’s event because of the risk of a confrontation. The march has been organized via social media by extreme far-right groups that National Rally doesn’t want to associate with, the party’s president, Jordan Bardella , told members Friday, according to Agence France-Presse . Lyon Mayor Grégory Doucet asked officials to ban the march, citing the risk of violence, but Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said Friday on RTL Radio that he would let it go ahead with an “extremely large police presence.” On Thursday, Lyon prosecutor Thierry Dran said his office had asked for seven of the 11 people arrested in the attack to be charged with intentional homicide. Of the seven, one is a parliamentary assistant, Dran said.

With its stock already up 40% year to date, one of the hottest growth stocks right now is Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) . The memory maker is benefiting from what looks like a supercycle for DRAM (dynamic random access memory) and NAND (flash memory). Best of all, this looks like it is just the start of the cycle. Micron derives about 80% of its revenue from DRAM, which is used for short-term memory needs, given its speed, and the rest from NAND, which is used for long-term memory storage. The DRAM market is getting a huge lift from the artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure buildout, as graphics processing units (GPUs) and other AI chips need to be packaged with a special form of DRAM called high bandwidth memory (HBM) for optimal performance. With the AI data center market booming, demand for HBM, not surprisingly, has also skyrocketed. Continue reading

alex-mit/iStock via Getty Images Introduction My last Buy rating on Galaxy Digital Inc. ( GLXY ) has not worked out too well so far, and since then the stock is down 33%, though I still believe in GLXY's potential in the long run. My previous thesis was: Today, I believe GLXY remains a Buy but also faces significant issues. It is in a very interesting spot here, as crypto cyclicality has leveled off, thanks to the promising prospects of its AI compute business. Still, crypto faces risks in 2026; the stock is not as undervalued as I would like it to be an attractive buy. On the other hand, upside from Helios' recurring revenues and technical factors support a continued buy rating. Today, I am making the case that despite GLXY's data center buffer, which adds cash flow certainty, their core income remains heavily dependent on the development of crypto markets, which limits near-term upside, as those are showing increasing amounts of warning signs. I could see a broader sell-off soon, but also acknowledge GLXY's long-term potential, especially after having already sold off 50%+ and trading at a moderate valuation. In the meantime, technicals have worsened too. Crypto Developments To me, the strongest fundamental reason to stay cautious on Bitcoin here is the liquidity setup. The problem is that it is no longer improving enough to support a highly positioning-driven asset. The Fed held rates at 3.5% to 3.75% in late January and kept a clearly data dependent tone, which means the market still needs softer inflation to rebuild confidence in a faster easing cycle . Today’s inflation data moved in the wrong direction for that narrative: core PCE, the Fed’s preferred measure, came in hotter than expected at 0.4% month over month versus 0.3% expected, with the annual rate rising to 3.0%. Reuters noted this strengthens the case for cuts being delayed until after June. That matters for Bitcoin because crypto tends to behave like a macro risk asset when markets are under stress....

Brazil and India sealed a framework pact on critical minerals with the two countries agreeing to work closely on processing in a move aimed at securing rare earth supplies at a time of global disruption. “The critical minerals agreement will help shape a new and resilient supply chain,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after meeting President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in New Delhi on Saturday. Lula arrived on Wednesday for three-day visit. Brazil, home to the world’s second-largest reserves of rare earths, offers India a potential alternative source of supply as it seeks to reduce reliance on China and secure inputs critical for electronics, clean energy and defense. The deal comes soon after India joined the US-led Pax Silica initiative to build resilient supply chains in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and critical minerals. Beijing’s grip on the supply of critical minerals required for high-end manufacturing and defense is a growing concern for countries around the world, especially developing economies such as India. Countries such as Brazil and India are strengthening cooperation, in part to emerge as leading voices for the developing world and seek greater influence over the technologies and supply chains reshaping the global order. Modi visited Brazil in July, where the two agreed to work closely on defense, energy, food security, and to reduce “non-tariff barriers” to increase trade, according to a joint statement at the time of the visit. New Delhi and Brasilia sought closer ties after US President Donald Trump slapped both countries with 50% tariffs. Indian tariffs were subsequently lowered to 18% after it signed a trade deal earlier this month. Now, that agreement has potentially been upended by the US Supreme Court ruling Friday which struck down many of the levies President Donald Trump put in place last year. After the ruling, Trump imposed a 10% global tariff on foreign goods. India and Brazil want to move into processing of critical mineral...

Billionaire Philippe Laffont is known for investing in technology winners. The founder of Coatue Management oversees $39 billion in 13F securities, and tech stocks are consistently at the top of his investment list. His four biggest holdings are in this industry, led by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing -- the chipmaker represents more than 6.5% of his portfolio. That's why it may be surprising to learn that Laffont, in the fourth quarter of last year, sold his entire position in CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) , one of today's most talked-about artificial intelligence (AI) stocks. CoreWeave rents out capacity for AI workloads to customers, and this business has fueled triple-digit revenue growth and stock price gains. During the same quarter, Laffont bought a biotech stock that has struggled in recent years but soared nearly 50% in January. So Laffont locked in gains on CoreWeave and set himself up to potentially win from a new growth bet. Let's check out the details. Continue reading

samuraioasis/iStock via Getty Images The coconut-water company Vita Coco ( COCO ) offers investors high growth at a high price. The last time I wrote about it, I said it was fairly valued , but tariffs were a risk factor. Now, after the removal of tariffs on coconut water , Vita Coco is likely to have higher margins and higher EPS in 2026. Vita Coco also reported weak Q4 2025 results, as expected, but this stock still has high-growth potential if you look past its choppy quarter-to-quarter performance. But even after its recent pullback, it doesn’t seem like a great deal right now. Vita Coco reported 0.4% growth in Q4 2025 , but its full-year 2025 revenue growth was 18%, and I think that gives investors a better perspective about its long-term growth potential. With $609.8 million in full-year revenue, Vita Coco also reported $222.6 million in gross profit for a gross profit margin of 36.5%. Its gross profit margin was 38.5% in 2024. So, now that the coconut water tariff is gone, Vita Coco is positioned to deliver another year of double-digit revenue growth while maintaining higher margins. And Vita Coco’s guidance confirms this viewpoint. Vita Coco’s Full-Year 2026 Guidance Implies Strong Margin Growth In its Q4 2025 report, Vita Coco guided for revenue of $680 to $700 million in 2026, which is equivalent to 11.5% to 14.8% revenue growth. In my previous article, my valuation was based on a long-term growth rate of 12.9%. At the midpoint of its guidance, Vita Coco is projecting 13.2% revenue growth, so its guidance is a little bit higher than I originally expected, which is a good sign. Vita Coco also expects to have a gross margin of 38% in 2026, which is a 150 basis point increase from 2025. I think this margin growth might already be priced in, though, because Vita Coco’s stock rallied in November after the tariff news came out. Additionally, Vita Coco guided for adjusted EBITDA of $122 million to $128 million in 2026. At the midpoint of both its revenue and adju...
