Emerging-market stocks and bonds were little changed on Tuesday, curbed by a firmer dollar and thinner trading volumes due to holidays in major markets, including China and South Korea. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index rose less than 0.1%, extending its advance to six sessions in the past seven days. Trading volumes were 96% below the 30-day average as Asian bourses were closed for the Lunar New Year. A firmer dollar capped gains in local currencies as traders reassessed expectations for roughly three US interest-rate cuts this year. India’s Infosys Ltd. climbed, contributing most of the MSCI gauge’s gains, after saying it plans to develop artificial intelligence solutions for companies in sectors including financial services and telecommunications. The move comes as India hosts one of the world’s largest AI summits, underscoring its push to narrow the gap in the global technology race. Emerging-market assets are seeking their next rally catalyst after posting the strongest start in years. While gauges of stocks, bonds and currencies all scaled record highs this month, investors say the gains have further to run as a capital rotation out of the US continues amid policy risks. However, while money markets price in 64 basis points of Federal Reserve easing this year, traders have begun to bet on a near-term dollar rebound, seeing its selloff as overdone. That leaves the dollar’s direction as the key factor for EM assets. The dollar’s stability in recent days has ensured a positive backdrop for local currencies relative to developed markets, Nick Rees , head of macro research at Monex Europe Ltd. said. “Limited volatility is likely to favour higher yielding, higher growth FX, particularly where there is a degree of insulation from any immediate Trump related risks,” he said. The Thai baht and South African rand underperformed EM peers as metals including gold, silver and copper slid. Hungary’s forint traded at the strongest level in a week against the euro as US Secreta...

M.photostock/iStock via Getty Images This is what dividend investing is all about! Investing in dividend stocks allows you to earn dividend income, the best passive income stream! Bias, you better believe it. Time to dive into Lanny’s December 2025 dividend income results! Were records set? Almost to financial freedom? One day and one month at a time! Dividend Income Dividend Income is the fruit from the labor of investing your money in the stock market. Further, Dividend Income is my primary vehicle on the road to Financial Freedom. How do I research & screen for dividend stocks prior to making a purchase? I use our Dividend Diplomat Stock Screener and trade on SoFi’s investment platform. I also automatically invest and max out, pre-tax, my 401(k) through work and my Health Savings Account. This allows me to save a ton of money on taxes (aka thousands), which allows me to invest even more. In addition, all dividends I receive are automatically being reinvested back into the company that paid the dividend, aka Dividend Reinvestment Plan or DRIP for short. This takes the emotion out of timing the market and builds onto my passive income stream! Growing your dividend income takes time and consistency. Investing as often and early as you can allows compound interest (aka dividends) to work its magic. I have gone from making $2.70 in a single month in dividend income to well over... $10,000+ in a single month. My dividend income record was set in December of 2021. Was it broken this month?! The power of compounding and dividend reinvestment is a wonderful component of the portfolio. Each and every month, whether big or small, I continue to report the passive income that dividend investing provides me. Why? *Not pictured is my wife’s dividend income above* I want to show you that dividend investing makes it possible to achieve financial freedom and/or financial independence. We all start somewhere, but consistently investing, compounding (reinvesting) dividends, and keep...
