Vast Majority Of Americans Want Voter ID And Democrats Don't Care Are voter ID requirements considered a controversial idea in the eyes of US citizens? If you watch the establishment media or follow leaders in the Democratic Party then you might think bills like the SAVE Act are the end of freedom as we know it. However, outside the echo chambers of DNC propaganda, the vast majority of Americans have no problem whatsoever with people proving their US citizenship before they vote in local and federal elections. The widespread support for voter ID is undeniable. Surveys from the past year including those from Pew and Gallup show that, regardless of party or ethnicity, Americans citizens want elections to be protected from manipulation through mass illegal immigration. A Pew Research Center survey from August 2025 found that 83% of Americans favor requiring all voters to show government-issued photo ID to vote. This includes: 95% of Republicans 71% of Democrats Only 16% of people oppose it. A Gallup poll from 2024 shows 84% support for requiring photo ID to vote, with 98% of Republicans, 84% of independents and 67% of Democrats in approval. A recent CNN segment featuring number cruncher Harry Enten confirms that the backing for the SAVE Act is also dominant regardless of ethnicity: 85% of white voter, 82% of Latino voters and 76% of black voters all want voter ID. It's difficult to find many issues which the American public universally supports at this level. Democrat leaders, however, don't care that the majority of their own base wants voter ID laws. Party officials and the left-wing media have engaged in a shameless propaganda campaign designed to frighten the public into opposing the SAVE Act, despite their previous platforms defending majority rule. They consistently compare the new laws to "Jim Crow" era restrictions, claiming that minorities (and rural Americans) are too dumb to figure out how to get access to state IDs and birth certificates. In truth, every st...

Investors are right to be leery of stocks with high dividend yields. Although such returns appear attractive on the surface, investors have to remember that dividend stocks that are not real estate investment trusts (REITs) can adjust dividend payments at any time. Moreover, REITs have the same freedom as long as they pay out at least 90% of their net income in dividends. This fact may leave investors wondering what to do about a REIT called Realty Income (NYSE: O) , a popular stock on the Robinhood Markets platform. Known for paying a monthly dividend, its 5% dividend yield is more than quadruple the S&P 500 average of 1.2%. Does that high return make the payout too good to be true? Let's take a closer look. pablorebo1984/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Howmet Aerospace (NYSE: HWM ), a key supplier to the aerospace and defense industry, surged 24% since my last sell-rated report outperforming the flat S&P 500. The sell rating has obviously not worked out, and with that in mind, I'm reviewing the valuation framework along with an update on the most recent earnings, outlining that even against a premium multiple, the stock remains expensive. Howmet Aerospace Sees Broad-Based Turbine Strength Howmet Aerospace (Earnings Presentation) Fourth quarter sales grew 15% to $2.2 billion. Commercial Aerospace sales grew 13% driven by engine spares and production rate plans at original equipment manufacturers. Defense sales grew 20% driven by engine spares which were up 32% and the F-35 program with F-35 spared demand exceeding demand from OEMs. Commercial transportation sales grew 4% driven by lower volumes in the wheels business partially, but with strength due to favorable currency effects and tariff pass-through. Gas turbine sales increased 32% driven by increasing demand for turbines to power data centers and electricity generation. Howmet Aerospace (Earnings Presentation) As total revenues grew 15% to $2.2 billion, we see that adjusted EBITDA grew 29% to $653 million, with margins expanding 3.3 points to 30.1%, driven by strong spare parts mix, volumes, and leveraging automation. Adjusted operating income grew 34% to $580 million as margins expanded 3.8 points to 26.8%, while adjusted earnings per share increased 42% to $1.05. Discussion of Howmet Aerospace Segment Results As a reminder, Howmet Aerospace does not present its results by end market. Instead, it reports through four segments: Engine Products Fastening Systems Engineered Structures Forged Wheels Howmet Aerospace (Earnings Presentation) Engine Product sales increased 20% year-on-year to $1.16 billion. Commercial Aerospace sales increased 17% while Defense sales improved 18% while gas turbine sales grew 32%. The in...

Head coach must make changes for Ireland’s visit after his error-strewn side lacked the nous to fight back after the hosts’ fast start England arrived at Murrayfield announcing their intentions to be “bulletproof”. Truth be told this was Scotland shooting fish in a barrel. Punishing mistakes, of which there were a litany, Gregor Townsend’s team exposed the glaring limitations of Steve Borthwick’s side that will be desperately difficult to recover from. Defeats happen, England’s winning run was always going to end sooner or later, but the paucity of this performance is some setback for a side whose grand slam hopes are over for another year. Two years ago Borthwick bemoaned how England had “played small” after a fast start, unable to stem Scotland’s momentum after giving up the initiative. Here they barely played at all. For England unravelled at Murrayfield again . It is as if Flower of Scotland flicks a switch in these players and Murphy’s law makes a mockery of them. Continue reading...

The estimated transaction value was $7.98 million, based on the average closing price for the quarter. The position’s quarter-end value increased by $7.91 million, a figure that incorporates both the trade and fluctuations in the stock price. LKQ Corporation is a leading distributor of automotive replacement parts with a broad geographic footprint and a diversified product portfolio. The company leverages scale and sourcing capabilities to provide cost-effective solutions for vehicle repair and maintenance. Its focus on both recycled and aftermarket parts supports a resilient business model in the automotive aftermarket sector. The addition of 264,600 LKQ Corp. shares during the fourth quarter of 2025 didn’t push it into the firm’s top five holdings, but it’s up there. At a value of about $15 million, it’s the portfolio’s 12th largest holding. Continue reading

stockcam/iStock Unreleased via Getty Images Introduction Over the past few months, SaaS companies have taken a massive hit due to Anthropic releasing AI agents that can be incorporated into software. Duolingo, Inc. ( DUOL ) has been included in this selloff and has decreased 33% over the past month. Seeking Alpha I think part of this selloff has to do with the fear that AI will make Duolingo obsolete, which has been the recurring fear since the start of its decline. But most recently, the “ SaaSpocalypse ” is the fear that SaaS' pricing models will change due to AI agents using it instead of humans, reducing the predictability of its cashflows. As a software company with recurring revenue and a centralized platform, it makes sense to categorize Duolingo as SaaS. Being that Duolingo earns most of its revenue from subscriptions, this recurring revenue, along with its massive growth, has caused Duolingo to trade at a premium, similar to other SaaS companies. In this article I will argue that, in fact, Duolingo will not be affected by AI agents, should not be considered part of the SaaSpocalypse, and that the market is misunderstanding the impact of AI. The SaaSpocalypse situation SaaS is a business model in which software is delivered over the internet and users pay a subscription per seat per month. The use of seats per month is the perfect pricing model for SaaS, as multiple developers under one corporation can use the software. It also allows SaaS companies and investors to have better projections of future cash flows using ARR as a metric. Figma's Pricing Model (Figma.com) This is all standard information, but it is important to explain how AI agents can affect this. Anthropic has released AI agents that assist the users with increasingly complex tasks in specific software. Moats that SaaS has enjoyed, such as high switching costs, integration complexity, and network effect, have all been threatened by AI agents. As explained on Semianalysis : “A simplistic example...
