Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) has been a growth stock darling of the first quarter of the 21st century. Going from a simple service mailing digital video discs through the U.S. Postal Service to a tech-forward first-adopter of the full power of the accelerated internet, Netflix has rewarded long-term shareholders with amazing returns. The question every investor faces with a highly successful company is what the next chapter of the story looks like. For Netflix, investors have their attention squarely focused on its ongoing efforts to acquire longtime Hollywood studio Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ: WBD) . Yet there's more to Netflix's growth strategy than just acquiring content and production capacity from outside players. In this third and final article on Netflix for my Voyager Portfolio , you'll get a closer look at the bigger picture on how the streaming giant expects to continue its growth trajectory for years to come. Photographer: Bonnie Cash/UPI/Bloomberg via Getty Images | Bloomberg via Getty Images During the 2024 presidential election, @KamalaHQ was something of an alter ego for Vice President Kamala Harris - as Harris ran a buttoned-up campaign, the online accounts shared clips of her set to viral TikTok sounds, shitposted unflattering pictures of Donald Trump, and adopted a voice that was at times indistinguishable from the average 20-something posting about politics on X. It was an effective way to rack up likes, engagement, and explainers , but it did not stop Trump from winning a second term. The same people who ran @KamalaHQ announced last week that they were reviving the accounts and rebranding as Headquarters, described in var … Read the full story at The Verge.

Opinions are divided about the potential impact of artificial intelligence as the response to a recent viral essay shows UK ad agencies undergo their biggest exodus of staff as AI threatens industry The message from investors to the software, wealth management, legal services and logistics industries this month has been clear: AI is coming for your business. The release of new, ever more powerful AI tools has coincided with a stock market slide, which has swept up sectors as diverse as drug distribution, commercial property and price comparison sites. Advances in the technology are giving increasing credulity to predictions that it may render millions of white collar jobs obsolete – or, at least, eat into the profits of established companies. Staff numbers at creative agencies, which are facing acute pressure from the rollout of AI tools that reduce or even replace the need for agency staff, fell more than 14% in 2025. Continue reading...

After hitting rock-bottom, the four-time Super League champions are finally returning to the top flight By No Helmets Required When Super League was cut to a dozen teams at the end of the 2014 season, it lost two of its biggest cities in Bradford and London, which followed big markets such as Paris, Tyneside and Sheffield out of the top flight, seemingly never to return. London Broncos have popped back to the party twice but only stayed for a season each time. Seeing the Broncos become a penniless and homeless part-time operation was sad; seeing Bradford do the same was shocking. The Bulls went into financial meltdown, were liquidated , relegated to the third division and even left their famous Odsal Stadium for a while. Now, 20 years after being crowned world champions for the third time in five seasons, Bradford are back in the big time and preparing to kick off their season at Hull on Saturday. Continue reading...

imaginima/iStock via Getty Images Nebius Group ( NBIS ) has quickly transformed into one of the most talked about - and bullish - stocks on Seeking Alpha. Investors have consistently been looking for stocks with direct exposure to the AI infrastructure build, and NBIS has demonstrated they are a leading AI hyperscaler. My thesis has evolved over the past year, moving from bullish when the stock was in the $70s to bearish when excessive optimism pushed the stock to $130+ . However, I upgraded the stock at the start of the year and feel even more comfortable in a bullish thesis after the most recent quarterly report. Data by YCharts Of course, there will still be a lot of skeptics on the infrastructure build-out and the ability for NBIS to achieve some of its stated financial targets. However, the market so far in 2026 has made one thing very clear: investors want exposure to AI. As discussed more below, the company provided some bullish, yet achievable, financial targets for 2026. The company is pivoting from a leasing-based model to a more self-developed and full-stack approach to data centers. At face value, this should improve total cost of ownership and technical control over the entirety of the process, but added risks around capital intensity. Although the stock has been in a bit of a holding period so far this year, it has outperformed the pure software companies and general tech indices. For now, I remain very bullish about NBIS' opportunity to expand its operations and achieve its financial targets. Financial Update When looking at the actual Q4 results , it might show a bit of a mixed signal on-demand trends. Revenue grew an impressive 547% yoy to $228 million, though it was noticeably below expectations for $243 million. Adjusted net loss of $173 million was much worse than the $69 million loss in the year-ago quarter. Yet, these near-term results are not the most important factor. Revenue recognition is very important for NBIS, as getting capacity only is...

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz got straight to the point in Munich today, telling an audience gathered for the annual security conference that we’ve entered a “new phase of open conflict.” Vladimir Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has brought “more deep-reaching changes in the world than even we in this room thought possible,” Merz said. Russia is committing war crimes there on a daily basis and “is not yet willing to talk seriously” about peace, he said, while China could soon be on an equal footing with the US militarily. The US claim to leadership “has been challenged and possibly lost.” Keep track of all of all the key insights delivered today and over the weekend at the Munich Security Conference by following our live ticker . As European leaders carve out their own path — with Germany assuming greater responsibility as the continent’s undisputed economic heavyweight — they are also searching for ways to salvage the post-World War II alliance. Merz said he’s held confidential talks with French President Emmanuel Macron about European nuclear deterrence , before switching to English to make a plea to the US delegation: NATO is “precious” as it gives a “competitive advantage” to allies. At last year’s event, US Vice President JD Vance shocked Europeans by lambasting their record on free speech and migration. This year, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, is leading the delegation. He acknowledged the changed reality that Merz discussed before leaving for the three-day event. “The old world is gone,” Rubio said. “We live in a new era in geopolitics, and it’s going to require all of us to re-examine what that looks like and what our role is going to be.” What You Need to Know Today DP World Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem resigned after two companies — citing his alleged ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein — suspended business with the logistics giant. Bin Sulayem, who led the Dubai-owned port operator since 2019, kept up a...

For three years, AI was the stock market’s savior. Suddenly, it’s become a marauder, and virtually no corner of the equity market looks safe from its impact. Just in the past 10 days, investors have delivered swift routs to companies toiling in industries as disparate as logistics, real estate, software, private credit, insurance and wealth management. In each case, the release of a new artificial intelligence tool, most famously from Anthropic PBC but also from small, lesser-known startups, prompted a rapid reassessment of business prospects. While some of the selling pressure eased Friday, major US averages are headed for a second week of losses. Financials have led the drop this week, along with makers of consumer discretionary products and technology firms. The Cboe Volatility Index remains above its long-term average, and investors are paying up for protection against more turbulence in the near-term. “All we have done and seen in the past few weeks is the market torch the perceived AI losers. Obviously the definition of AI losers is changing almost daily to the point where you can’t track it via themes or baskets. Narratives are just moving way too fast for positioning,” said David Wagner , portfolio manager at Aptus Capital Advisors. The one constant is that AI applications have become the market’s bogeyman, capable of erasing billions in value in a matter of hours as investors question the very viability of large swaths of the corporate landscape. The fear of disruption from AI is so high that even seemingly small announcements or product releases have led to sharp reactions for entire sectors. “A lot of these narratives, they’re kind of whimsical and flippant,” said Wagner, adding that they end up creating violent feedback loops in the market. Take Thursday, where a tiny karaoke-turned-AI-logistics company issued a press release on a new AI tool and shares of CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. and Landstar System Inc. tumbled, taking the whole sector down with them...

This isn't the first time the government has proposed ending this benefit, but as in the past, it abruptly reversed course less than one week after telehealth coverage expired. Medicare beneficiaries will now have telehealth services covered from anywhere through 2027. This is a huge cost and time saver, especially for those who live in rural areas. However, telehealth coverage may wind up on the chopping block again. Image source: Getty Images. Continue reading

The US Commerce Department issued preliminary support for a miner’s petition to impose anti-dumping duties on imports of Russian palladium — with a rate of almost 133% — ahead of a final decision later this year. Sibanye Stillwater Ltd. , which owns the Stillwater palladium mines in Montana, filed petitions with the Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission last year to request the relief, alleging that palladium shipped from Russia is sold in the US at less than fair value. The preliminary determination for tariffs of 132.83% on unwrought Russian palladium is still subject to final determinations by both government agencies. Those are expected to be completed in June, Johannesburg-listed Sibanye said . “Russia’s palladium dumping has resulted in a material competitive disadvantage to the local United States PGM producers and employees,” Sibanye Chief Executive Officer Richard Stewart said in a statement. “Enforcement of US trade laws enables our US PGM operations to compete on a more level playing field against other, less regulated regions.” Sibanye’s Montana mines struggled when low palladium prices forced it to cut costs, slash production targets and write down the value of the assets. Still, the metal — which is used mainly by the automotive industry to reduce harmful emissions from gasoline vehicles — rebounded in the last year, with prices touching a three-year high in January before pulling back a bit. The company’s petition alleged that the Russian state provided various forms of financial support to its palladium miners, including grants, preferential loans and lax environmental controls. Russia’s MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC is the largest producer of the metal. Norilsk Nickel declined to comment. Spot palladium prices followed other precious metals higher on Friday, after a sharp selloff in the previous session.
