J Studios/DigitalVision via Getty Images Thesis ImmunityBio, Inc. ( IBRX ) stock has been on a very bullish run. The investor confidence comes from the potential of a chemo‑free immunotherapy platform, which is led by Anktiva. The short idea here is that Anktiva is an IL‑15 superagonist that fuels and sustains NK and T cells without the toxicity we get from chemotherapy or lymphodepletion. The market now has massive expectations, which is where the risk lies. The early clinical data are presented across several cancer types, particularly in recurrent glioblastoma and indolent lymphomas, which show promising immune activation with a manageable safety profile. The main signals investors want to see are potential survival benefits, which can exceed historical norms. Elsewhere, mOS has not yet been reached in glioblastoma, but lymphocyte counts were seen to be restored within one cycle. Also, keep in mind that Anktiva is already FDA-approved with BCG for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. It's already generated strong early commercial traction, while broader applications with CAR-NK and antibody combinations still remain investigational. The strategy, however, can't be ignored; it positions ImmunityBio as somewhat of a pioneer in outpatient, immune-directed cancer therapy. I think the market’s premium valuation is well justified despite the limited revenue and early-stage data. So I have to remain buy -rated despite the stock price jumping almost 185% since my previous coverage . I am going to attempt to give an in-depth explanation of why this new therapy platform has such potential and give an overview of the trial progress on Anktiva. Any positive upcoming data on this new therapy approach, I would expect to have a positive stock reaction. With one big upcoming catalyst being earnings. Management is well aware of the potential and the investor optimism; I expect them to focus their discussion mainly on Anktiva and the progress they've made. Seeking Alpha Anktiva in ...

Verizon Communications Inc. is looking to sell euro and sterling denominated hybrid bonds on Wednesday, just as the premium investors demand for subordinated debt over senior bonds has tightened to one of the lowest levels on record. The US telecom operator is marketing the notes due 2056 and callable in 2032 at around 4.75% in euros and 6.25% in sterling, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified. The sale lands as the extra yield investors demand to hold euro subordinated corporate debt instead of senior bonds has compressed to around 60 basis points, around all-time lows , according to ICE BofA index data. For issuers, that means the traditional cost penalty for selling riskier hybrids has all but evaporated. That small premium makes it very attractive for companies to bolster their balance sheets with these instruments since they are treated as part equity by credit rating agencies. It’s less than six months since Verizon sold subordinated debt in Europe. It printed one of the largest ever hybrid in November last year, among a surge of US corporates raising the junior debt type. US companies have stormed into Europe’s bond market at a record pace this year, pushing reverse Yankee issuance in euros and sterling past €40 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Heavy supply from Wall Street banks and Big Tech, including a record-sized deal from Alphabet Inc., has helped drive volumes beyond prior highs, as companies capitalize on relatively attractive funding costs and strong investor demand. Zimbabwe expects to produce more than 360 million kilograms (793 million pounds) of tobacco this year, surpassing a 2025 record of 355 million kilograms, the agriculture ministry said. The rise in output will be underpinned by an increase in planting, with tobacco farmers cultivating 164,536 hectares of land, 15% more than last year, Obert Jiri, Zimbabwe’s agriculture secretary, said in an interview. The southern African country is the continent’s biggest producer of flue-cured tobacco and the crop is one of its biggest sources of foreign currency. Its auction season is set to begin in early March and usually runs until October. Zimbabwean farmers have exported 54.8 million kilograms of tobacco so far this year, 64% more than in the same period in 2025, with gross earnings rising 74% to $399.8 million, official data from the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board shows. Most of the crop was sold to the Far East, Middle East and Europe. Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) has delivered a major win for investors who scooped up the stock in the early days of the artificial intelligence (AI) boom and held on. The tech giant's shares have climbed 1,200% over the past three years. This is as the company wowed investors with earnings growth quarter after quarter and encouraging comments about ongoing demand. One problem that Palantir has faced, though, is a soaring valuation. That has kept some investors away -- and has even prompted some shareholders to sell as they worried demand for Palantir stock would slump. This has weighed on Palantir's performance in recent times, with the stock sliding about 25% since the start of the year. One positive element is the fact that this decline has also brought valuation down. Is Palantir stock a buy now? Let's find out. Continue reading
