Marvin Samuel Tolentino Pineda/iStock Editorial via Getty Images The following segment was excerpted from the LVS Advisory Q4 2025 Letter. Netflix ( NFLX ) remains our largest investment in the portfolio and was held at an 18% weight at the start of Q4. The stock declined 21.8% in Q4 primarily due to its announced $83 billion acquisition of Warner Brother Discovery ( WBD ). As a reminder, we purchased a 6% position in Netflix in 2022 at an average cost of $28.31. Netflix became our largest holding because our thesis was proven correct and the stock price soared (we never added or trimmed after 2022). I kept the stock in our portfolio because I saw more potential upside. Netflix has become the global category killer in scripted entertainment and is rapidly eroding market share from linear TV. I believe the company will continue to take share as it reinvests in live entertainment, sports content, video games, and advertising capabilities. Prior to the acquisition of Warner Brothers (which surprised us), I perceived the key risks to the thesis to be competition from short form video (TikTok) and user-generated content (YouTube). However, I also view short form video and user-generated content as potential expansion opportunities down the road. In fact, Netflix recently added podcasts to its platform, which is tangential to much of the content that is popular on YouTube. Simply put, Netflix has done an excellent job executing on growth initiatives in the past, and I trust management to navigate future changes in the entertainment industry. Netflix’s stock is roughly 40% below its mid-2025 levels due to investor concern that the company is overpaying for Warner Brother Discovery. I am neutral on the Warner deal. I don’t believe Netflix needed to acquire a major studio but was simply being opportunistic when Warner went up for sale. Warner boasts one of the strongest content libraries and film production operations in the industry. Netflix could certainly find ways to get...

Energy Transfer (NYSE: ET) recently reported its fourth-quarter and full-year results for 2025. The master limited partnership (MLP) set several volume records in the fourth quarter and delivered record adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the year. It also generated robust distributable cash flow, which more than covered its steadily rising cash distribution (7.2% current yield). The midstream giant has lots of fuel to continue growing in 2026, putting its high-yielding payout on rock-solid ground. As a result, an investment in the MLP (which sends investors a Schedule K-1 Federal tax form) is an excellent way to generate a growing stream of passive income. Image source: Getty Images. Wachiwit/iStock Editorial via Getty Images eToro’s ( ETOR ) stock jumped 20% after earnings. That’s a big move and it changes how I’m thinking about the risks and possible returns here. Before this, I rated it a Hold at $37.73. Back then, I had doubts, mainly because the market didn’t trust eToro’s earnings quality. Margins were thin at 1.4% and profits leaned heavily on crypto trading, which is always up and down. I also didn’t see much real progress in moving away from those boom-or-bust sources of revenue. Since then, the stock dropped 27%, landing at $27.46 before this latest rally. So now, the valuation is tighter and any real sign of improvement or steady cash flow matters more than ever. This quarter , adjusted diluted EPS came in at $0.71, beating expectations by $0.11. Revenue hit $3.87 billion. That’s after the stock already took a 47% hit over the last year. On a GAAP basis, net income grew 16% year over year to $69 million. Adjusted EBITDA for the year reached $317 million, up 4%. Funded accounts and assets under administration are both growing, up 9% and 11% year over year, now at 3.81 million accounts and $18.5 billion in assets. The balance sheet looks solid: $1.3 billion in cash and short-term investments. Those numbers put to rest any talk about near-term existential threats, support the new $100 million buyback and back up management’s point that they’re making real progress through new products, local market focus and partnerships. eToro There’s also a shift happening in where the money comes from. eToro is letting people trade more global stocks, they’ve added over 150 cryptoassets and they’re pushing into derivatives and futures, especially in Europe and the UK. That’s bringing in new trading commissions, but more importantly, it’s getting users more engaged and keeping them around. In January, trading volumes in capital markets and ECC jumped 55% year over year and the average amount invested per trade went up 8%. Still, the ups and downs of cr...

Co-op Live, Manchester Switching from noirish drama to funk stomps, neo-soul to showgirl glamour, this is a big, bold show from a singer who has entered her ‘dramatic era’ On the variety show-style poster for this tour, Raye pledged her gigs would contain everything from dramatic endings to a jazz cover via a nightclub segment, a brass band, and “musical medicine for those in need”. She also promised new music. Ahead of her forthcoming album This Music May Contain Hope, she teases its contents from the off, with I Will Overcome. Raye is in a long fake fur coat, leather gloves and sunglasses, looking like the lead from a film noir with the song as its soundtrack: she begins with third-person narration but switches into singing as the character she’s created. When the curtain drops, it reveals a huge band that launches into the rousing and infectious funk stomp of Where Is My Husband!. Raye and her singers reappear in sparkling red dresses, creating an air of elegance and glamour reminiscent of old school Vegas, before thundering drums, brass and strings collide with the theatrical heft of a James Bond number. It’s a beginning so huge that it resembles a finale. “I’ve fully entered my dramatic era,” Raye declares. Continue reading...
