The company has a handful of gold mining projects in Nevada and is expected to go from a development company into a mid-size gold producer in 5 years. The largest Mineral Point Open Pit gold project might take the annual gold production above 600Koz in the early 2030s decade. Figure 1 - Source: i-80 Gold Presentation I have covered i-80 Gold a few times over the last couple of years, and my prior articles can be found here . This article will primarily focus on the recently announced $500M financing, which has dramatically improved the balance sheet and liquidity situation for i-80 Gold. The company has divided its various projects into phases. In phase I, Granite Creek Underground is expected to reach commercial production this year, and Archimedes is currently under construction, with production expected towards the end of next year. Those two underground projects will feed the Lone Tree Autoclave facility once that facility is refurbished after a longer period offline. Phase II includes Granite Creek Open Pit and the underground mine Cove. Cove will also feed Lone Tree, once ramped up. The mining assets in phases I & II all have relatively low capex needs, which is why it is possible for a development company to ramp them up in a relatively short time frame. Much of the recently raised capex will go to the refurbishment of the Lone Tree Autoclave facility, where the total project cost is estimated to be $430M in a study that was released in December of 2025. Mineral Point is more capital intensive, but I am less concerned about that project given that i-80 Gold is expected to be generating good cash flow by the time a construction decision is made on Mineral Point. i-80 Gold has performed poorly over a multi-year time frame due to the repeated bought deals, balance sheet concerns, and the lack of a concrete ...

Exports fell 3.6% last month from a year earlier to 1.9 billion Swiss francs ($2.5 billion), the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry said Thursday. Watches in the most expensive category made from precious metals led the decline. It’s a setback for an industry that was upended last year due to US President Donald Trump’s punitive tariffs. Their retroactive easing from November boosted exports the following month, but the value of watches sent to the industry’s biggest market slumped 14% in the latest figures. Overall, watches priced above 3,000 francs were down 8.1% in value. There was a 14% contraction in exports of watches made from precious metals, that was not offset by a 16% increase for bimetallic watches.
