Nvidia (NVDA 2.94%) isn't just a company that makes graphics processing units (GPUs). It also invests in other tech companies that it sees potential in, and one of those was Applied Digital (APLD 10.50%). However, Nvidia recently sold its entire stake in the data center operator, which seems like a huge red flag. Is there something else going on here? Or do investors have a reason to be concerned by Nvidia's latest move? Portfolio adjustments aren't uncommon for Nvidia We know Nvidia's investment activity because it has a portfolio of equity investments greater than $100 million. As a result, it is required to file a Form 13F with the Securities and Exchange Commission to disclose its end-of-quarter holdings 45 days after each quarter ends. So, the information that we know now reflects its portfolio as of Dec. 31, 2025. As of the end of the third quarter, Nvidia owned around 7.7 million shares of Applied Digital, a stake valued at about $177 million at the time. However, it sold all of those shares during Q4. While investors may be concerned about what led Nvidia to unload that stake, such moves aren't uncommon for the chipmaker. It closed its similarly sized position in ARM Holdings last quarter as well. And at the start of 2025, it did the same thing with its stake in SoundHound AI. Yet just because Nvidia isn't always a long-term investor in tech companies doesn't mean that you can't be. The future is still bright for Applied Digital, which builds and operates high-performance computing data centers. The artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure buildout is continuing at a strong pace as demand for processing power is high, and the data centers that Applied Digital is building are in huge demand. Furthermore, these data centers will provide monster cash flows over the next few years once the buildout is complete. That should result in the stock being a successful investment, as long as Applied Digital can establish itself as a top option for those seeking AI pr...

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals ( REGN ) said its partner Hansoh Pharma reported positive Phase 3 results for obesity drug olatorepatide in Chinese patients. The once-weekly treatment is a dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist, and Regeneron holds development and commercial rights outside mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. The 48-week trial enrolled 604 adults across 33 sites in China and tested 5 mg, 10 mg, and 15 mg doses against placebo. The study met its main goals, showing significant weight loss versus placebo from baseline and a higher share of patients achieving at least 5% weight loss at 48 weeks. Participants treated with olatorepatide achieved up to a 19% mean weight loss from baseline at week 48. Responder analyses showed that up to 97% of participants achieved ≥5% weight loss at week 48. The drug also showed good gastrointestinal tolerability, with nausea rates below 10% and vomiting below 5%, and fewer treatment discontinuations than reported in some other dual incretin trials. REGN shares were down -2.3% premarket to $742.13. More on Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. A Hong Kong Immigration Department senior assistant who repeatedly grabbed his wife and young son by their throats during disputes has been ordered to perform 200 hours of community service, with the magistrate telling the defendant he had already received significant leniency while pleading for probation. Kowloon City Court on Monday sentenced the 49-year-old defendant, identified in court as “ATK”, after he earlier admitted six counts of common assault While the defence had pleaded for probation as any more serious punishment was likely to result in ATK losing his job, Magistrate Arthur Lam Hei-wei said the offences were serious, noting that four of the six assaults involved the defendant grabbing the victims by the throat. The defendant is currently suspended from duty. Advertisement The court had previously heard that ATK assaulted his wife, 39, three times between 2021 and 2024, and attacked his son on three occasions between 2023 and 2025. The boy was five years old at the time of the first incident. “If it were just one offence, I might have considered probation,” Lam said. “But this case involves six charges.” Advertisement The magistrate added that the violence occurred repeatedly over a prolonged period rather than as a one-off loss of temper.

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images News Adobe ( ADBE ) said it is expecting an “uneventful” first quarter from Adobe ( ADBE ) with "limited upside revisions." The firm reduced its price target on Adobe's stock to $315 from $387 and kept its Neutral rating. Adobe is slated to report its fiscal first quarter results on Thursday after the market closes. "We remain Neutral-rated on ADBE into FQ1 earnings where we expect a continued focus on leveraging the freemium funnel/expanding new users to increase monetization as we look for signs of ramping firefly adoption/monetization. For the print, investors will likely be focused on new topline metrics of total ADBE ARR [Annualized Recurring Revenue], BP&C [Business Professionals & Consumers] revenue and C&M [Creative & Marketing] revenue and watching closely for any early signs of growth acceleration. We believe op margins revisions will also be in focus, as investors eye GM [gross margin] pressure from 3P [third-party] models and ongoing investments," said analysts at Citi. The analysts expect metrics to slightly exceed guidance and see minimal upside revisions to the fiscal 2026 outlook. As War Rages In Iran, UK MoD Surveys Troops On Wearing Makeup And Nail Polish Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news, While flames engulf Iranian oil depots following U.S. and Israeli strikes, and Iran retaliates with missiles targeting the UAE and Israel, the UK Ministry of Defence has sparked backlash by circulating a survey to troops about relaxing appearance standards. The questionnaire asks if male soldiers should be allowed to wear makeup, nail polish, and longer hair, ridiculously framing it as a push toward “gender-free” policies. The timing of this clownish behaviour couldn’t be worse. The survey, originating from Army HQ in Andover, proposes uniform rules on hair, jewelry, and even facial aesthetics like fillers and microblading for all genders. As war rages in Iran, woke MoD asks troops: 'Guys, do you want to wear make-up and nail polish?' https://t.co/VncN09Cn5b — Daily Mail (@DailyMail) March 8, 2026 The review builds on recent shifts in UK military policies. In 2024, the Army reversed a long-standing ban on beards. Back in 2019, then-Defence Secretary Ben Wallace floated allowing men to use camouflage-colored makeup. And in 2017, instructions emphasized avoiding gender-specific language like “best man for the job.” Shadow Defence Minister Mark Francois slammed the initiative, stating, “Upgrading to mascara from camouflage cream is hardly likely to deter Putin.” An Army spokesman pushed back, clarifying, “As the Chief of the General Staff has said, the Army is focused on enhancing our lethality and fighting readiness. There are no plans to change policy – and this was not an official Army survey.” This comes against a backdrop of escalating conflict in Iran. U.S. and Israeli forces have conducted devastating strikes on regime oil depots, with reports of “fire rain” over Tehran after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a daytime assault. Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of UK gas shortages with only days’ reserves left. Iranian...
