Alistair Berg Stock index futures were higher on Monday, while oil prices slid, as traders continued to keep their eyes on the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict. Here are the four stocks to watch on the day: Nebius ( NBIS ) surged 13% in premarket trade after Meta Platforms committed to spending up to $27 billion over the next five years to access advanced AI infrastructure from the company. Under the five-year agreement, Nebius will provide $12 billion of dedicated capacity across multiple locations, based on one of the first large-scale deployments of Nvidia’s ( NVDA ) Vera Rubin platform. Nebius will begin delivering this capacity starting in early 2027. Nvidia ( NVDA ) rose 1.63% before the opening bell as the tech giant kicked off its annual GTC event on Monday. Wedbush Securities said it expects a “very bullish” update from the company around enterprise AI demand. Analysts at the firm wrote that CEO Jensen Huang is likely to come out with a positive outlook on the AI industry and the pipeline opportunity, which they believe will exceed Nvidia’s prior $500 billion target for Blackwell and Rubin shipments in 2026. Alibaba ( BABA ) climbed 3% in premarket trade following reports the company is setting up a business unit called Alibaba Token Hub to consolidate its AI services and development endeavors under a single umbrella. According to Bloomberg News, the Chinese e-commerce giant is moving its AI model research team, Qwen, the consumer-facing app unit, and major AI-related products into a unit headed by CEO Eddie Wu. Adobe ( ADBE ) edged up 0.1% before the opening bell as the enterprise software maker faced analyst scrutiny following the release of its fiscal first-quarter results. Argus downgraded the stock while Citi cut its price target, citing concerns over slightly slowing annualized recurring revenue and the upcoming departure of CEO Shantanu Narayen. Citi analyst Tyler Radke noted that Adobe’s Q1 featured a solid revenue and EPS beat with an in-line second-quart...

This completed a year of the company outperforming the industry by a wide margin. (Note: Peyto is a Canadian producer that reports using Canadian dollars unless otherwise noted). Peyto Summary Of Fourth Quarter Results Fiscal Year 2025 (Peyto Earnings Press Release Fourth Quarter 2025) The last article noted the success of the hedging program. As shown above , this program was responsible for a fantastic year with sizable earnings and cash flow per share gains. This was a year when AECO went briefly negative in the third quarter. Lots of companies that I follow either lost money or broke even (roughly) in the third quarter when that happened. But this company sailed through the third quarter on its way to a great performance. This is a company with a very rare long-term (hedging) profit. But the market usually sees hedging as a zero-sum game (because what you make on the way up you lose on the way down). The way things are now, this company is very unlikely to get any valuation credit from (from Mr. Market for) the hedging program because it is an exception. The hedging program has enabled the company to financially stretch to make an acquisition in the past. Then the strategy allowed for debt repayments while growing production and repaying a dividend. It has been a source of long-term earnings stability in a notoriously volatile and low visibility industry. Now what may happen in the future if natural gas prices recover as expected, then this company could lag a recovery. But since the market attributes it to the hedging program, it may not affect the stock's participation in any industry recovery. Some of the hedging gains reported the last several years will turn to losses if natural gas prices recover as expected. This company has a way of hedging that gets rid of the AECO volatility. That is especially true for th...

Qualcomm has been one of the rougher stories in semiconductors this year. The stock is down roughly 24% since January, and Seaport Research Partners thinks there’s more pain ahead. QUALCOMM Incorporated, QCOM On Monday, Seaport downgraded QCOM to Sell from Neutral and slapped a $100 price target on it — implying around 23% downside from current levels. The core argument is straightforward: the smartphone market is getting squeezed, and Qualcomm is caught in the middle of it. Seaport analyst Jay Goldberg says rising memory chip prices will push phone makers into a tough spot. Either phones get more expensive, or they ship with less memory. Either way, people hold onto their current phones longer. The firm expects global phone sales volumes to fall 10% to 15% in 2026. That’s a meaningful hit to Qualcomm’s addressable market for mobile processors. Apple, Qualcomm’s largest customer, is expected to fully phase out the chipmaker from its iPhone lineup. Seaport says Qualcomm’s share of iPhone content is likely heading to zero in next year’s models. That’s a loss the market has been bracing for, but it doesn’t make it easier to absorb. Android Isn’t Much of a Lifeline High-end Android phones had been one of Qualcomm’s better-performing segments recently. But those devices are likely to feel the memory crunch the hardest. That creates a dou...

Micron Technology’s DRAM segment is expected to be the key growth driver of its second-quarter results. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for DRAM revenues stands at $15.03 billion, implying stellar 145.5% year-over-year growth.
