Bet_Noire/iStock via Getty Images Investment Overview I am re-initiating coverage on Strata Critical Medical ( SRTA ) with a “ Buy ” rating and an investment horizon of 12 to 24 months. I believe that SRTA stock is attractively valued and poised to trend higher within the investment horizon. This coverage discusses the factors to be bullish with a focus on the company’s fundamentals, industry tailwinds, and the valuation metrics. When I had first initiated coverage on the stock, the company traded under the name of Blade Air Mobility. Further, it operated with two segments: Time-critical medical logistics and the Passenger segment. However, in August 2025, Blade Air Mobility announced the sale of the passenger division to Joby Aviation ( JOBY ) for up to $125 million. With the completion of this transaction, Blade Air Mobility transformed into a pure-play medical services and logistics business. In-line with this laser sharp focus, the company was rebranded as Strata Critical Medical. Coming back to my initial coverage, I had mentioned that the “passenger segment has been a disappointment in terms of growth and margins.” With the sale of the business division, the margin profile has improved, and I will discuss that later in the thesis. This is an appropriate time to re-initiate coverage, as Strata Critical reported Q4 FY25 results earlier this month. There are multiple positives from the results that serves as a basis for the bull thesis. Positive Industry Outlook Let’s first consider the industry outlook that strengthens the positive view. According to estimates, the U.S. transplantation market was worth $5.45 billion in 2023. Further, between 2024 and 2030, the market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.5%. The steady growth in demand is “linked to the growth in incidence of chronic diseases resulting in organ failures.” Therefore, with steady demand for transplant services, Strata Critical is well positioned to benefit. Regulatory changes are another catalyst for...

Instagram will stop encrypting private messages between users from May, after enduring years of criticism from law enforcement and child safety groups over the feature. Meta quietly announced this month on its help page for Instagram and in an updated 2022 news post that end-to-end encryption would no longer be available on direct messages between users on Instagram from 8 May 2026. It means Meta will be able to see the contents of messages between all users – which so far it only could for those who did not enable encryption. The feature already appeared deactivated for Australian users, when Guardian Australia tested on Wednesday. A spokesperson for Meta said the decision to abandon encryption was due to low uptake. “Very few people were opting in to end-to-end encrypted messaging in DMs, so we’re removing this option from Instagram in the coming months,” the spokesperson said. “Anyone who wants to keep messaging with end-to-end encryption can easily do that on WhatsApp.” Meta’s chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, first flagged plans to roll out end-to-end encryption across Meta’s suite of platforms in 2019, but did not begin implementing it until 2023. Meta had endured criticism from child safety groups and an alliance of law enforcement – including the FBI, Interpol, the UK’s National Crime Agency and the Australian federal police – who argued it would weaken the ability to keep children safe online. A spokesperson for the Australian eSafety commissioner’s office said strong encryption plays an important role in protecting privacy and security but where deployed, platforms should also prevent, detect and respond to harm. “Where end-to-end encryption is implemented without appropriate safety measures, it can increase safety risks and prevent the identification of harms such as child sexual exploitation, and terrorism and violent extremism,” the spokesperson said. “Ultimately, whether to deploy end-to-end encryption is a business and design choice for platforms, but...

ComfortDelGro Corp. , Singapore’s largest taxi operator, will raise fares temporarily as it moves to shield cabbies from surging fuel costs driven by a global energy shock. Passengers will pay an additional S$0.50 ($0.39) to S$0.80 for trips starting from March 24, the company said in a social media post on Tuesday. Metered rides will also see a S$0.01 increase in the distance-time rate. The full amount collected will go directly to drivers, said the firm which operates more than 8,400 taxis locally. The measures will remain in place until May 31. Fuel costs have surged worldwide as the war in Iran pushed oil past $100 a barrel. Gasoline, diesel and liquefied natural gas have become even more expensive, hitting transport operators and raising power bills . Higher pump and energy prices are adding to inflation worries and stretching household budgets, especially in fuel-importing regions like Asia. Singapore has urged households and businesses to conserve electricity and adopt energy-efficient appliances. In Thailand, a worsening fuel shortage is threatning sacred funeral ceremonies . The Philippines imposed a temporary four-day week for government offices and limited elevator use .
