Quantum computing companies are braving turbulent public markets in order to raise money to develop the still experimental technology, with two more taking critical steps toward debuts this week alone. Shareholders in blank-check vehicle Crane Harbor Acquisition Corp. were scheduled to vote on a merger with Xanadu Quantum Technologies Inc. on Thursday, just days after dMY Squared Technology Group Inc. investors waved through a deal with Horizon Quantum Computing Pte Ltd. Read More: Xanadu Moves Closer to Public Listing as Quantum Race Heats Up The race to advance a technology that could make market forecasting more accurate or predict how new drug molecules will work has hardware and software developers for quantum computers lining up to go public. But the conflict in the Middle East is dampening investors’ appetite for risky stock bets and investors are already souring on some quantum deals. “The question for SPACs that are pending SEC and holding company shareholder approval is whether the investors have the level of conviction and liquidity to weather such storms,” said Charles Beyrouthy , managing partner at venture capital fund Forma Prime. His fund invested in Infleqtion Inc. , which debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in February via a blank check transaction. The stock has plunged roughly 30% since then. That’s done little to slow the pace of new deals. Finnish and French firms IQM Quantum Computers and Pasqal Holding SAS struck deals to go public in the US via blank-check firms in recent weeks, while Honeywell International Inc.’s Quantinuum could raise more than $1.5 billion in an initial public offering , people familiar with the matter have said. There are signs investors have been less enthusiastic than SPAC sponsors. Shareholders have the option to hold a SPAC stock through a deal’s completion and into its public company debut, though they also get a guaranteed option to redeem ahead of time for $10 per share plus interest. Usually, if a blank-check...

franckreporter Shares of Tandem Diabetes Care ( TNDM ) rose on Thursday as Truist upgraded the insulin pump maker to Buy from Hold, becoming the latest brokerage to raise its rating based on the company’s new pay-as-you-go pharmacy channel strategy. On Tuesday, Piper Sandler upgraded the San Diego, California-based MedTech to Overweight from Neutral, arguing that the economic gains of the new strategy will improve Tandem’s ( TNDM ) revenue figures over the next three years. In a research note on Thursday, Truist analyst Richard Newitter argued that Wall Street has yet to fully appreciate the growth trajectory of the company’s higher-margin recurring revenue as it transitions to the new model. While analysts expect TNDM to face headwinds in 2026/27 as it pivots to the new model, which, unlike sales made through the DME channel, carries no upfront payments, he added that “we far prefer the economics of the Pay/GO model in the mid-term.” Trading at ~1.3x in terms of 2027 revenue, the stock represents a compelling entry point as the Street underestimates the company’s growth and profitability prospects associated with converting patients to the new business model in 2027 and beyond, Newitter added. He raised his price target on Tandem ( TNDM ) to $35 from $27 per share. More on Tandem Diabetes Care Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. Oak Hill Advisors is courting retail investors who have grown increasingly skeptical of the $1.8 trillion private credit market with the launch of a new fund that will deploy capital across public and private debt. Undeterred by a wave of redemptions that has forced asset managers to take unprecedented steps to assuage clients, Chief Executive Officer Glenn August says the firm is ready to capitalize on dislocations across credit markets. “Our redemptions have been quite manageable and we’re very comfortable with portfolio liquidity,” August said in an interview. “We’re not sitting here today and deploying all of our dry power, but there is an opportunity to buy assets at prices that are more attractive than six months ago.” The new interval fund will target opportunities across direct lending, asset-backed finance, collateralized loan obligations, public credit and special situations. The non-publicly traded vehicle, which has adopted the OFLEX ticker , will allow investors to buy in on a daily basis and offer quarterly redemptions of at least 5% of net assets. Private Credit BDC ‘Reckoning’ to Last Years, Sixth Street Says Private Credit Gate-Crashers Are Forcing Funds Into Brutal Spot Private Markets Face a Tense Moment With Retail Push on the Line August sees the launch as an opportunity to offer retail buyers access to a strategy that has defined OHA’s approach to credit markets for more than 30 years — one that so far has been available only to institutional buyers such as public pension funds. “We’re deep believers that individual investors should have access to alternative investments,” August said. “Why should the teacher have an allocation to alternatives through their pension plan but a small business owner shouldn’t have any?” Private capital firms’ push to tap retail investors is coming at a particularly fraught time for the industry, which has spent most of the past year distancing itself from some of the most high-profile blow ups in credit and fighti...

March 19, 2026, 12:00 p.m. ET Owners of electric vehicles from Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat and Maserati can now plug into Tesla Inc.'s expansive North American network of chargers using an adapter, Stellantis NV said Thursday. Stellantis EV drivers can use more than 27,500 Tesla V3 and V4 Supercharger stalls spread across North America after the company initially announced that the availability was coming late last year. The automaker joins 20 other EV manufacturers including Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Co. that have already opened up access to the Tesla charging stations. To plug in at most Tesla chargers, drivers will need a North American Charging System, or NACS, adapter made by Stellantis brand Free2Move. It's available at many dealerships and at Mopar.com for $230. Some Tesla chargers, however, have a "Magic Dock," which includes a built-in adapter. Free2Move also has a free app for charging payment and to help locate Supercharger locations as well as other types of chargers. Stellantis vehicles that can now used Tesla Superchargers are the Dodge Charger Daytona, Jeep Wagoneer S, the coming Jeep Recon, Ram ProMaster EV, Fiat 500e and the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, GrandCabrio Folgore and Grecale Folgore. The 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona is the first Stellantis model to offer a NACS charging port stock, meaning it won't need the adapter for Tesla stations. lramseth@detroitnews.com

In the span of two years, Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ: LULU) has gone from being a top performer in the apparel sector to one of the worst. The stock is now down 68% from its peak at the end of 2023 as its growth has slowed dramatically. There's no single factor that is responsible for that pullback, but rather, there have been a number of causes. The company is facing increasing competition as the athleisure market appears to be getting commoditized. By its own admission, it hasn't done enough to keep its styles fresh. Discretionary spending has been weak in the U.S. due to a slugglish labor market and stubborn inflation, and Lululemon has been hammered by tariffs , especially the removal of the de minimis exemption, which forced it to rearrange its distribution network to fulfill e-commerce orders in the U.S. Those issues led to the departure of former CEO Calvin McDonald, and the company is still in the process of finding a permanent CEO. Founder Chip Wilson is also waging a proxy battle, signaling his frustration with management, and, to his delight, Lululemon named former Levi's CEO Chip Bergh to its board yesterday as well. Despite those challenges, the stock looks like it may have just bottomed out. Continue reading

Iran Oil Exports Soar As Bessent Floats Unsanctioning Iranian Oil Already-At-Sea If the unstated intention of the Iran war was to give far more leverage to Russia, and - paradoxically - to Iran, by legitimizing their sanctioned oil exports in a world suddenly starved of energy, then mission accomplished. Just days after the US "temporarily" lifted sanctions on Russian oil stored on sanctioned tankers, Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday that the Trump administration may suspend sanctions on Iranian oil already at sea in a bid to clamp down on energy prices. "In the coming days we may unsanction Iranian oil that's on the water, about 140 million barrels," he said on Fox Business, adding that "In essence, we will be using the Iranian barrels against the Iranians to keep the price down for the next 10 or 14 days, as we continue this campaign." U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: In the coming days, we may unsanction the Iranian oil that’s on the water. pic.twitter.com/7OJN7t1ZtT — Clash Report (@clashreport) March 19, 2026 It’s the latest play weighed by the administration to stabilize the oil market against price shocks since the U.S. and Israel launched their joint operation in February. The maneuver could free up 140 million barrels of Iranian oil for global use, Bessent said. It’s one of several “levers” Bessent said the administration has at its disposal, as Iranian attacks cripple the Strait of Hormuz, whose blockade has shuttered roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply. The administration could also make more oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve available, Bessent added. The administration already started making 172 million barrels from the SPR available. “So we have lots of levers, we’ve got plenty more that we can do,” Bessent said. “Some countries are going to do more, the U.S. could unilaterally do another SPR release to keep the price down.” The White House has discussed adding up to 100 million more barrels to the administration’s pledge last week, ...

Is Micron wrapping it up or are they needing help? 00:15 Speaker B I think they're wrapping it up. Okay, so Micron wraps it up. 00:16 Speaker A They're wrapping it up. 00:17 Speaker B They're wrapping it up. 00:17 Speaker A All right, so, even though they're wrapping up this past reporting period, it does feel to me like maybe we're starting to see the outlines of what will be a more frequent dynamic within earnings reports, which is great numbers now and the outlook is just starting to have folks ask questions of like, this stock's up 50% this year. Do I need to be buying more with this kind of a forecast? 00:46 Speaker B whether it's hyperscaler peak capx, in the case of Micron, the question is around peak gross margins. For people who haven't followed Micron that closely, high bandwidth memory is something that they make that is now vital for AI. They've taken away capacity to make high bandwith memory from their other memory, which has caused the memory chip shortage and caused memory chip prices to go up. All of that is good for Micron, not so great for anybody else who wants to buy memory chips. and it's good for Micron's margins, which have been like in the low 80s. as one analyst said, further price increases would have a diminished impact on margin expansion. There actually seems to be like a maybe real concern, but it echoes the concerns we've seen from a lot of these things that like are we near peak? 01:38 Speaker A I think the other part of that as well is this idea of these have been cyclical businesses over time. All kinds of tech hardware have had ups and downs because it's, you know, physical supply with, you know, let's call it deployed demand. And I think it's this idea of the AI cycle has been so forceful on the way up that it did feel for a long time that there was j...

A U.S. trade judge has handed Apple an important preliminary win in its protracted patent battle with medical device maker Masimo, finding that the iPhone maker’s redesigned Apple Watch does not infringe two key pulse oximetry patents—a determination that could restore full functionality to one of Apple’s most profitable product lines if upheld by the full commission. Apple Shares Fall Apple shares edged higher following the announcement, though the stock had already priced in some optimism around potential design workarounds. Masimo, meanwhile, saw its shares decline 8.31% as markets reassessed the company’s leverage in ongoing settlement negotiations. The divergent price action reflects investor recognition that while legal disputes between the two companies will continue, Apple appears to have successfully engineered around the most disruptive element of the original import ban. xijian/E+ via Getty Images Thesis Canadian Solar Inc. ( CSIQ ) is a global company that makes solar products and develops energy storage and solar projects. The last time I reviewed the stock, I rated it as a Hold because profit margins were being squeezed, the company was losing cash, and there were still too many risks in how well they could execute their plans to justify buying into the story. Seeking Alpha Since then, CSIQ stock’s been down hard, and today’s not making it better. Be that as it may, after reviewing today’s latest results, I’m maintaining my neutral view. The core challenges remain unresolved, and the path to a sustained recovery is uncertain, but the valuation already reflects much of the downside. My View on Canadian Solar’s Q4 and FY2025 Results Q4 2025 module shipments : 4.3 GW FY2025 module shipments: 24.3 GW FY2025 energy storage shipments: 7.8 GWh. The fourth quarter ended what had already been a tough 2025 for Canadian Solar. During the year, the company chose not to focus on selling as many solar modules as possible in a weak global market. Instead, it focused on protecting its profit margins and expanding into other areas to reduce risk. The management team clearly said they focused more on higher-value areas, like energy storage, instead of just increasing the amount of products they shipped. It’s another indication the industry hasn’t fixed its basic problems: too much supply, sliding prices, and a demand recovery that’s been slow and unreliable. Q4 2025 revenue: $1.217B (-20.0% Y/Y) misses by $150M . With solar module deliveries down both sequentially and year-over-year, total revenue took the predictable hit. At the same time, the energy storage business achieved record shipments for the full year, even though deliveries in the fourth quarter were slightly lower due to construction delays at customer sites. Q4 2025 gross margin: 10.2% Q3 2025 gross margin: 17.2% Q4 2024 gross margin: 14.3% Q4 2025 gross profit: $124M. Profit margins ...

DoorDash announced on Thursday that it’s launching a new, standalone “Tasks” app that will allow the company to pay its delivery couriers to complete assignments aimed at improving AI and robotic systems. Delivery couriers will be able to earn money by completing activities like filming everyday tasks or recording themselves speaking in another language, DoorDash says. “This data helps AI and robotic systems understand the physical world,” DoorDash wrote in a blog post. “Pay is shown upfront and determined based on effort and complexity of the activity.” Bloomberg reports that the original audio and video footage submitted by workers will be used to evaluate both the company’s in-house AI models and those developed by its partners in the retail, insurance, hospitality, and technology sectors. One example of a task involves asking a courier to capture footage of their hands washing at least five dishes while wearing a body camera, holding each clean dish in frame for a few seconds before moving on to the next, Bloomberg reports. DoorDash isn’t the only company tapping its delivery workforce to train AI models. Late last year, Uber announced plans to let drivers earn extra income by completing small jobs, such as uploading photos to help train AI models. Image Credits:DoorDash In addition to the standalone Tasks app, delivery couriers will see new digital “Tasks” listed on the Dasher app. Examples include helping a restaurant showcase its menu by taking real photos of its dishes or taking photos of a hotel entrance so delivery drivers can find the drop-off location more easily. DoorDash’s partnership with Waymo, where delivery couriers are paid to close the doors of the self-driving cars, is also listed in the app as a task. “The goal of Tasks is to help more businesses understand what’s happening on the ground and gather new insights, all while giving Dashers a new way to earn on their own terms,” said Ethan Beatty, General Manager, DoorDash Tasks, in the blog post. ...

By Blake Brittain WASHINGTON, March 19 (Reuters) - A U.S. trade tribunal preliminarily ruled that Apple's current Apple Watches do not infringe patents owned by Masimo, rejecting the medical-monitoring company's bid for a renewed import ban on the tech giant's smartwatches. Apple altered its watches to circumvent an import ban that the U.S. International Trade Commission issued in 2023. An ITC judge agreed with Apple in a ruling made public on Thursday that the redesigned watches do not violate Masimo's patent rights in blood-oxygen reading technology. The full commission will now decide whether to affirm the decision. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Thursday separately affirmed the tribunal's 2023 ruling that had blocked Apple from importing Apple Watches that infringed Masimo's patents, although Apple has since resumed importing its redesigned watches. Apple said in a statement that it was pleased with the ITC's decision and will evaluate "all avenues for further review" of the Federal Circuit's ruling. "For six years, Masimo has brought dozens of false claims against Apple, nearly all of which have been rejected," Apple said. A Masimo spokesperson declined to comment. The cases are part of a contentious, multi-front patent fight between Apple and Masimo, an Irvine, California-based medical monitoring technology company that has accused Apple of hiring away its employees to steal its pulse-oximetry innovations used to determine oxygen levels in the blood. The ITC blocked imports of Apple's Series 9 and Ultra 2 smartwatches in December 2023 after finding that they infringed Masimo's patents. Apple removed blood-oxygen reading technology from its watches to avoid the ban, but reintroduced an updated version of the technology last August with approval from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Masimo has separately sued Customs over its approval of the redesigned watches. The updated watches display health data from the blood-oxygen ...

Building a resilient portfolio means thinking beyond a single asset or market trend. Economic cycles shift, sectors rise and fall, and no one investment performs well in every environment. That's why many investors look to diversify with platforms that provide access to real estate, fixed-income opportunities, professional financial guidance, precious metals, and even self-directed retirement accounts. By spreading exposure across multiple asset classes, it becomes easier to manage risk, capture steady returns, and create long-term wealth that isn't tied to the fortunes of just one company or industry. This article first appeared on GuruFocus. Micron (MU, Financials) issued strong guidance for fiscal third quarter, projecting revenue of $33.5 billion and gross margin of approximately 81%, as demand for AI-related memory continues to accelerate. Revenue was $23.9 billion in the fiscal second quarter, increasing 196% year over year, with DRAM revenue at $18.8 billion and NAND at $5 billion. Non-GAAP EPS grew to $12.20, while operating margin reached 69%. Management reported record memory product performance, especially high-bandwidth memory utilized in sophisticated computer systems, due to AI demand. Micron also emphasized HBM4 volume shipments and long-term client agreements to improve demand visibility. The business estimates third-quarter profits per share of $19.15 and operating costs approaching $1.4 billion. Higher pricing, lower expenses, and a better product mix could boost margins, executives said. Micron noted that DRAM and NAND supply will be limited until 2026, supporting industry pricing. As capacity grows, capital expenditures will reach $25 billion this year. Action on Q3 forecast and long-term AI memory demand patterns will be the next driver.
