Key Points Micron's fiscal second-quarter revenue skyrocketed 196% year over year. The company plans to spend heavily on capital expenditures this year. Investors buying the stock today are betting that the artificial intelligence boom is still in its early stages. 10 stocks we like better than Micron Technology › Up significantly already in 2026, Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) stock has been a massive winner for investors. This performance is no surprise given the memory specialist's central role in the artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure build-out. But the stock pulled back slightly on Thursday, following the company's earnings report this week (of course, shares are still up sharply year to date). The pullback comes despite the report highlighting incredible top and bottom-line growth. Will AI create the world's first trillionaire? Our team just released a report on the one little-known company, called an "Indispensable Monopoly" providing the critical technology Nvidia and Intel both need. Continue » Is this a buying opportunity? Record-breaking growth This week, Micron announced fiscal second-quarter results that once again demonstrate the staggering demand for its memory chips. Micron's fiscal second-quarter revenue skyrocketed to $23.86 billion, up 196% from $8.05 billion in the year-ago period and representing a massive jump from $13.64 billion in the prior quarter. This top-line momentum was driven by intense demand for both high-performance memory (DRAM) and storage devices (NAND) -- especially across the data center market where AI server builds require immense memory capacity. Additionally, the company's gross margin expanded to an exceptional 74.4% during the period -- up from 56% in the prior quarter and 36.8% in the year-ago period. This combination of soaring revenue and significant margin expansion has led to outsize earnings growth. Micron's net income skyrocketed from about $1.6 billion in the year-ago quarter to nearly $13.8 billion in fi...

The Ultimate Race Hoax Authored by Scott Greer via American Greatness , It was a case that captured the nation’s attention 20 years ago . In March of 2006, a black stripper accused three members of Duke University’s nearly all-white lacrosse team of rape. The only evidence for the crime was her own testimony, which changed repeatedly. It didn’t matter that every other eyewitness disputed the rape claim . An opportunistic district attorney, a vengeful cop, a feminist nurse, and a ravenous media were all ready to believe the Duke lacrosse rape, and that was enough to make it “truth” in the public eye for much of 2006. The Duke lacrosse hoax offered a preview of America’s coming social conflicts in the age of woke. Imagined racial grievance, feminism, and belief in “white privilege” all fueled this story. The media was all too eager to buy it. Journalists wanted to believe it was true to show that white men are the real menace to society. It was a story too “good” to pass up. It was also a story too “good” to be true. No lessons were learned from the Duke lacrosse case. We would see similar lies play out with Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Rolling Stone ’s infamous “A Rape on Campus” story. While District Attorney Mike Nifong paid a high price for his reckless pursuit of the case, the media and activists who aided him suffered no real consequences. Hate hoaxes would flourish as a result. The story is best explained by the 2007 book, Until Proven Innocent: Political Correctness and the Shameful Injustices of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case by Stuart Taylor Jr. and K. C. Johnson. The tale begins with a bored group of youth looking to entertain themselves while stuck on campus during spring break . The lacrosse team, unlike other Duke students, couldn’t vacation with the time off. They had games and practice during the holiday, leaving them in Durham. To blow off steam, the team decided to hire strippers for a party. Too many of their teammates were underage and couldn’t ...

TL;DR: AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1 enhances PC gaming with support for Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2, introduces FSR Upscaling 4.1 for Radeon RX 9000 series, improves ray-traced reflections, and fixes crashes in Cyberpunk 2077 and input issues, while some Battlefield 6 and other game bugs remain. AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1 is here, and it's a big one for PC gaming as it adds support and optimization to two of the biggest releases for the month, Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. It's also a must for RDNA 4 gamers with a Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics card, as it introduces FSR Upscaling 4.1, the latest version of AMD's AI- or ML-based Super Resolution solution. According to AMD's Jack Huynh over on social media, FSR 4.1 brings "Sharper image quality for ML-based upscaling, delivering finer details and smoother camera motion across all ML-powered AMD FSR games." Compared to the already impressive FSR 4.0, the new FSR 4.1 improves the quality of objects in motion and their overall detail. As seen in the Crimson Desert video above, AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1 also includes FSR Ray Regeneration 1.1 to enhance ray-traced reflections and global illumination. Two notable updates that help AMD's FSR remain a competitive alternative to NVIDIA DLSS for Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9060 XT owners. In addition, the new Radeon driver fixes a few game-specific and general bugs, such as crashes in Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing and random loss of mouse and keyboard functionality when using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. Here are the full release notes. AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1 Release Notes

Chime Financial’s scale and focus on fee-free offerings position it competitively within the rapidly evolving digital banking sector. A punishing heatwave has been gripping the western United States, with parts of the region logging record temperatures - even though it was still winter. A desert community in southwestern Arizona reached 43.3 degrees Celsius (110 Fahrenheit) on Thursday, breaking a record for the highest March temperature recorded in the United States. The record-setting temperature was recorded just outside Martinez Lake, Arizona, in the Yuma Desert. The previous record of 42.2 degrees had been set in Rio Grande City, Texas, in 1954 and was tied on Wednesday by the tiny desert community of North Shore, California. Advertisement An extreme heat advisory was in place for swathes of southern California and Arizona, with forecasters warning of dangerous effects on local populations. By Thursday, several more California locations had 42.2 degrees. Among them were Cathedral City, near the desert destination of Palm Springs, and the aptly named town of Thermal, northeast of San Diego. Advertisement Las Vegas hit 35 degrees, topping the previous record of 34.4 degrees set Wednesday. “We are seeing temperatures that are much, much warmer than normal,” National Weather Service meteorologist Rose Schoenfeld said.

Japan is reactivating its nuclear fleet with the goal of generating 20% of its electricity through nuclear power by 2040. South Korea is planning to bring two new reactors online by 2038. And all around the world, there are 75 nuclear reactors under construction, with another 120 planned. The only issue? It takes a long time to build new nuclear power plants, around five years on average, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. However, that's not an issue for dividend investors who are in their positions for a long time, letting their wealth compound over the years. That's why some of the best nuclear investments are dividend payers like NextEra Energy (NEE +1.57%). Generating power, generating profits NextEra is a pretty straightforward business. It is a power company, after all. What makes it different is that it operates a large nuclear reactor fleet: seven reactors across four plants in Florida, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin and a fifth plant in the works for 2029. The company also operates other types of clean energy facilities, like wind and solar, along with natural gas. It also owns some existing natural gas pipeline infrastructure. That gives it some nice diversification, but I'm most interested in NextEra's nuclear capacity, and so is Alphabet, Google's parent company. Late in 2025, NextEra announced it would be collaborating with Google to bring Iowa's Duane Arnold nuclear energy plant back online primarily to power Google data centers in the area. Included in the deal is a 25-year power purchase agreement for Google and an agreement to explore other potential nuclear plant opportunities across the country. When the Duane Arnold facility comes online (scheduled for Q1 2029), it will be NextEra's fifth nuclear plant. And NextEra was already...

Shares of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. briefly traded at a record premium in Hong Kong over their mainland-listed peers, as strong earnings and energy supply shocks boosted demand for the battery giant. CATL’s Hong Kong shares have surged around 35% since last week’s earnings beat , pushing their premium over the firm’s Shenzhen-listed stock to a record 46% at one point. The mainland-listed shares have gained about 16% over the same period, driving the gap between the two listings past levels last seen in July, when foreign investor demand in Hong Kong buoyed sentiment. The premium has widened even as the city’s broader equity market languished. Morgan Stanley estimates a gap of about 10% would be reasonable for CATL, based on the midpoint of premiums for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and BYD Co. , suggesting current levels may be hard to sustain. Still, CATL is increasingly viewed as a play on stronger-than-expected fundamentals and the push for energy diversification amid higher oil prices. GigaDevice Semiconductor Inc. and China Merchants Bank Co. are among a small group of companies in Hong Kong that trade at premiums to their onshore peers, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

That compares with a weighted average fist-day gain of 22.1% in Hong Kong for a listing of its size or larger over the past year. A fresh crop of stocks related to China’s artificial intelligence industry has attracted intense investor interest and helped the country’s stocks stand out among global markets shaken by concerns over AI disruption and the fallout from the war in Iran. More recently, the frenzy over AI agents like OpenClaw has lifted the broader Chinese technology sector, especially with Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. and Baidu Inc. moving to raise prices for computing and storage services as demand skyrockets. Delton Technology, which makes printed circuit boards for servers, drew huge interest from retail investors in Hong Kong. Even after the stock pared initial gains, it’s on track for the biggest first-day gain in Hong Kong for listings that raised at least $400 million since chip designer Montage Technology Co. ’s shares jumped 64% in their Feb. 9 debut. At 106%, it would be the biggest pop since generative AI startup Minimax Group’s on Jan. 9. Citic Securities and HSBC Holdings Plc. were joint sponsors.
