The government last week approved the release of 15 days’ worth of private-sector reserves, amid concern that the conflict in the Middle East will continue to hinder the flow of tanker traffic along the strait of Hormuz. Raajmarg Infra Investment Trust ’s units rose as much as 8% in their trading debut Tuesday after an initial public offering that raised 60 billion rupee ($649 million), India’s largest so far this year. The InvIT units rose to as much as 108 rupees in Mumbai, compared with an offer price of 100 rupees. The sale by National Highways Authority of India ’s InvIT was subscribed 13.94 times this month. The debut is a closely watched as a gauge of demand for new offerings following a recent selloff in Indian equities linked to the Middle East conflict. A strong performance could bolster confidence among issuers preparing share sales even as geopolitical tensions and elevated oil prices weigh on valuations and risk sentiment. While Indian IPOs have lagged the record pace of the previous two years, the pipeline includes potential mega deals such as those by Reliance Industries Ltd.’s telecoms unit Jio Platforms Ltd. , Walmart Inc.-backed e-commerce company Flipkart Internet Pvt and National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. Before the IPO, Raajmarg InvIT raised 17.28 billion rupees from 73 anchor investors. India has 27 registered infrastructure trusts, of which five — IRB InvIT Fund, India Grid Trust, Powergrid Infrastructure Investment Trust, Indus Infra Trust and Capital Infra Trust — are publicly listed. On an average these five InvITs have given a total returns of 26% over the past one year. READ MORE: India Highway Authority Infra Trust IPO Subscribed 14 Times (1)

peshkov/iStock via Getty Images While it may feel like either ancient history or as though it was just yesterday, six years ago to the day, the S&P 500 put in its covid crash low. A lot has happened since then, but US equities have charged higher nonetheless. Since that low, the S&P has risen nearly 200%, with a number of huge moves under the surface driving those gains. In the table below, we show the 30 S&P 500 stocks that were a part of the index both at the time of the covid crash low (3/23/20) through today that have experienced the largest rallies over the past six years. In total, there have been 17 ten-baggers since the covid crash low, and five stocks are up 1,500%+. That includes both Broadcom ( AVGO ) and Nvidia ( NVDA ), which have joined the trillion-dollar market cap club. The 30 stocks shown below had a collective market cap of $735 billion at the time of the covid low. Today, their combined market cap has eclipsed $10 trillion! NVDA has been by far the biggest winner over this span thanks to both the early 2020s crypto boom and the emergence of AI. A number of energy stocks have also found themselves on this list, thanks to a combination of solid dividend yields and exceptional price returns, especially more recently. One final name that has been a top performer since covid may be a surprise: Royal Caribbean Cruises ( RCL ). Even though six years ago this name was at the epicenter of lockdown doom, it's up 857% since, which ranks as the 20th best. Pivoting back to the broader market, below we show the S&P 500 since the start of 2020. In the past several years, apart from the covid crash, there have been plenty of tough periods for the market, including a prolonged bear in 2022, a near bear this time last year during the height of tariff turmoil, and this month once again with the war in Iran. Amidst the turmoil, stocks haven't struggled to eventually recover, and it would now take historic declines to return to levels from those prior periods. Even a...

Key Points Chewy has delivered earnings growth and expanded its revenue stream in recent years. One number in particular demonstrates the loyalty of Chewy’s customers. 10 stocks we like better than Chewy › Chewy (NYSE: CHWY) is a company your pets surely like, as it sells everything from their favorite foods to toys and other supplies. But investors haven't liked this e-commerce stock much lately, as it's dropped nearly 30% this year. There isn't one major reason for this, as Chewy has successfully grown its business in recent years and, thanks to a metric I'll talk about in a minute, offers investors a clear view of revenue to come -- and things are looking positive. Sometimes a stock declines because investors are interested in other opportunities at a given moment -- and it isn't a reflection of the stock's prospects. I think this is what we're seeing with Chewy. Will AI create the world's first trillionaire? Our team just released a report on the one little-known company, called an "Indispensable Monopoly" providing the critical technology Nvidia and Intel both need. Continue » Does all of this mean that Chewy may represent a once-in-a-lifetime buying opportunity right now? Let's find out. Chewy's big milestone Chewy has delivered revenue growth in recent years and reached the major milestone of profitability. Initially, the company stuck to the area of e-commerce uniquely in the U.S. But it has expanded the e-commerce business into Canada and, in the U.S., has added veterinary clinics to its repertoire. The vet clinics business is a fantastic idea because it diversifies the revenue stream and, at the same time, offers Chewy the opportunity to bring new customers to its e-commerce business. The clinics are a great way to introduce Chewy to pet parents who haven't yet discovered or tried the e-commerce site. The power of Autoship Now, here's what I like most about Chewy: More than 80% of the company's total sales come from recurring customers. We know this becaus...

Malaysia has vowed to crack down on fuel subsidy abuse after a viral video showed a woman illicitly buying 71 litres (18 gallons) of RON95 petrol in a single transaction, as regional supply concerns persist amid US-Israeli strikes on Iran. The finance ministry said late on Monday that investigators identified the customer as a Malaysian citizen. Both the identity card used in the purchase and the vehicle owner will be blocked from the inflation-easing fuel subsidy scheme. This programme allows Malaysians aged 16 and above with a MyKad and valid driving licence to buy up to 300 litres of RON95 per month at 1.99 ringgit per litre. Advertisement The act had “clearly” breached the rules on fuel subsidies and could undermine efforts to keep the system targeted and transparent, the ministry said in a statement on social media. “The government will not compromise on any form of leakage and misuse of subsidies, especially in the current uncertain situation that requires close control over fuel supply and prices.” Advertisement The response followed a video shared on social media last week, which reportedly showed the woman and a teenage boy pumping petrol into a plastic container in their car boot at a station in Johor Bahru. A post accompanying the clip asked if they were “stocking up at home” due to rising fuel prices.

A fire broke out at a diesel hydrotreater, with the unit suffering severe damage, according to people familiar with the incident. The blaze was near the plant’s fluid catalytic cracker, and part of the refinery has been shut down, according to the people, who said a decision hasn’t yet been made whether to shut the entire plant. A few minor injuries were reported, the report said, adding that a Valero ( VLO ) spokesperson said all personnel have been accounted for. Local officials have shut two nearby state highways as a precaution, the spokesperson said. The refinery can process 435,000 barrels of heavy sour crude a day, according to the company's website. wildpixel/iStock via Getty Images 2026 may finally be the year Alpha Tau Medical ( DRTS ), an under-the-radar Israeli micro-cap, finally shakes off its obscurity. The firm is quietly developing a significant breakthrough in oncology, pioneering the first way of delivering alpha particle radiation locally into solid tumors. The alpha particle is very powerful. It is more likely than other types of radiation to cause irreparable “double-strand breaks” to DNA molecules, leading to a very targeted “ cell death, ” and thus making it very destructive to tumors. In fact, alpha radiation offers a “linear energy transfer” 100 times higher than beta radiation and thus a far higher “relative biological effectiveness” (RBE). It is more effective at killing tumor cells than the beta, gamma, and X-ray radiation that is currently used in external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) and the various approved radiopharmaceuticals. EBRT is a rather common cancer treatment, one that is painless and non-invasive. It uses a linear accelerator to direct X-ray or particle beams to shrink or destroy a tumor from outside the body. Its main drawback is that it can damage healthy cells, leading to temporary side effects like hair loss, diarrhea, and fatigue or permanent side effects like infertility or recurrent cancer. Because of the very limited range by which alpha particles can travel in tissue, alpha radiation had not been pursued earlier as a locally-delivered treatment for solid tumors. Because alpha radiation operates with such a short range of penetrance --<100 μm—it was deemed to be of low clinical usefulness. Alpha Tau Medical’s technological breakthrough --its proverbial "secret sauce"-- is that it expanded the range of alpha particles, via a modeled diffusion of atoms, by essentially leveraging the decay chain and doing so in an invasive process. Called Alpha DaRT ( “Diffusing Alpha-emitters Radiation Therapy” ), it involves the insertion of titanium “seed” needles directly into the tum...
