ASphotowed/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Lear ( LEA ) is the maker of automotive seats and other systems. The company is set to report earnings this Friday, May 1 and it's worth diving into the setup. The stock is at an interesting point because it's already given some soft guidance changes ahead of the presentation via a sell-side conference. With those in mind, the revenue growth potential for the stock looks subdued in 2026, despite better profitability and it may take more time for Lear to gain momentum. Business Profile Lear primarily makes automotive seating. The company primarily classifies itself by geographic segments rather than by product segments given their specific vertical. The company's geographic mix is approximately 42% North America, 35% Europe and Africa, 20% Asia and 3% South America. This is not materially changing year to year. The company also discloses content per vehicle, which is the dollar value of seating and systems the company provides per vehicle. It's simply another way to gauge growth. Content per vehicle in North America in 2025 was up slightly from $631 in 2024 to $642 in 2025. In Europe, this declined slightly from $471 in 2024 to $463 in 2025. The company's backlog now totals $1.325 billion coming out of last quarter. Most of the backlog for this year and next year to no surprise is seating, given the revenue mix, totaling $1.2 billion. E-Systems is more important for next year when $260 million of backlog is on the docket. What's important in this backlog is the seating wings for the Audi Q7/Q9, the Jeep Cherokee, BMW M6-M8, as well as the iX3. The company also has the Mercedes GLC EQ in Europe and Asia in here as well as the GLE in Asia. The backlog is diversified which creates less pressure on future revenue growth The company noted on the last earnings call they're encouraged by the backlog's composition as the bulk of it is from new business wins rather than existing programs. The company has a difficult operating envir...

undefined Longi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd. (601012.SH) extended its losses into the first quarter of 2026, underscoring the toll that severe overcapacity and relentless price competition are taking on the country’s photovoltaic industry. The company said late Monday that revenue fell 14.8% to 70.4 billion yuan ($10.3 billion) in 2025, while it booked a net loss of 6.4 billion yuan, its second consecutive year in the red. In the first three months of 2026, revenue dropped another 18% from a year earlier to 11.19 billion yuan, and net loss widened to 1.92 billion yuan. The persistent losses at the world’s leading solar equipment manufacturer underscore a deepening crisis across the supply chain, where Chinese production capacity has swelled to nearly double global demand amid slowing growth and rising international trade barriers.

Luis Alvarez/DigitalVision via Getty Images Topline Summary and Update Back in November, I was very interested in upcoming trial readout for Elicio Therapeutics ( ELTX ) and their KRAS peptide vaccine, which appeared to be imminent at the time. There have been serious concerns about a looming cash crisis, but 2026 is looking to be the year of KRAS. Today, I want to highlight the upcoming data that make me continue to view the ELTX investment thesis with optimism, despite their striking cash concerns. Pipeline Updates ELI-002 The only clinical entity in development by ELTX remains the KRAS-directed vaccine ELI-002, which is delivered directly into lymph nodes harboring tumors with the intention of engineering an immune response to mutated KRAS, a genetic event that is found in a large number of colorectal cancer cases and the vast majority of pancreatic cancers. We've seen findings for ELI-002 from the phase 1 portion of the company's AMPLIFY-7P trial. This trial has since proceeded to its randomized, blinded, phase 2 portion enrolling 135 patients with KRAS-mutated, non-metastatic pancreatic cancer with residual disease after standard therapy (such as a surgery with or without radiation). We've seen some encouraging early readouts from the AMPLIFY-7P trial, most recently at the SITC meeting back in November, which demonstrated that ELI-002 could induce T cell responses specific to mutant KRAS in 89 out of 90 evaluable patients. The actual endpoint of interest, disease-free survival (ie, the time it takes for the pancreatic cancer to return or for the patient to die), remains blinded to ELTX, and unblinding depends on reaching a certain number of events, at which point they will be able to analyze and then announce top-line data about whether the vaccine's ability to induce an immune response is better than simply observing the patients after surgery. After this readout, ELTX plans to meet with the FDA to finalize plans for a randomized, phase 3 trial that would be s...
