Arteta: ‘The difference in the leagues is night and day’ Ødegaard likely to miss Fulham game with knee problem Mikel Arteta has dismissed suggestions that Premier League sides are incapable of matching the levels hit by their European rivals, saying that freshness was key to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain producing arguably the game of the season in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. With the Arsenal manager stressing player availability will make the difference during a defining moment in the club’s history, he argued that English football’s competitiveness cannot be ignored when it comes to accusations that the quality of football has dropped. Specialty chemicals producer Archroma sweetened the terms on a junk loan deal to extend around $1 billion of debt, inching closer to completing a transaction that has faced multiple delays over the past month . With the maturity of the debt just over a year away, the SK Capital -backed business has been under pressure to extend or refinance the loans. But the uncertainty generated by the conflict in the Middle East and a broader slowdown in the chemicals sector has made investors cautious. Adding to its troubles, on Monday Archroma told lenders that it had lost around $37 million as the result of a fraud, although the company says it is optimistic about recovering a meaningful proportion of the money, according to people familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity. A spokesperson for Archroma declined to comment while SK Capital did not respond to a request for comment. Archroma began gathering feedback for a potential transaction four months ago, laying the foundation for an exercise it publicly announced on April 1. The debt maturities, which included €555 million ($650 million) and $340 million term loan B tranches, are due to be extended by three years to 2030. Investor commitments for the deal were initially set for April 14 but have been postponed twice and are now due next week. Final pricing on the transaction was announced Friday, with both the euro- and US dollar-denominated term loan Bs at an interest rate of 5.5 percentage points over their respective benchmarks and a discounted price of 99 cents on the dollar, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Those loans had last been marketed at a margin of 5 to 5.25 percentage points above their benchmarks and a price of 99 cents on the dollar. A second-lien US dollar-term loan is being sold at 9.5 percentage points above the benchmark at a price of 97 cents, up from previous talk of 9 to 9.25 percentage points and a price of 97 cents. In February, Moody’s Ratings placed its...

Alex Cristi /iStock via Getty Images To me, the S&P 500 ( SP500 ) sitting at record levels isn't a time to be gung-ho on the markets but rather to be cautious. When we look outside of the boom in semiconductor stocks, many other companies (least of all software companies) are struggling to define their ability to survive in a world being reshaped by AI. For investors, that means we have to be incredibly careful and selective about what stocks we include in our portfolios. GoDaddy Inc. ( GDDY ) is a company that I view to be a structural decliner from AI. Its recent quarters have showcased a relentless slide in bookings growth. The company just reported weak Q1 results , which failed to sustain any enthusiasm in the stock: GoDaddy is down ~25% since January and ~50% over the past year, and I don't think there is any credible path back to recovery. Data by YCharts I last wrote a sell article on GoDaddy in March, when the stock was trading at similar levels in the mid/low $80s. Since then, GoDaddy's growth rates have continued to stumble, even though we are supposedly in the midst of a huge business-building boom unlocked by AI. With mounting evidence that GoDaddy is losing its competitive edge in the AI environment, I'm reiterating my Sell rating on the stock. GoDaddy's core web hosting services, which compete against the likes of Wix ( WIX ), WordPress, and Shopify ( SHOP ), are increasingly being viewed as commoditized services. While it's essential that every business build and maintain a website, these services largely compete on price. But increasingly, it's AI features that are distinguishing the competitors in the web hosting race: namely, the ability to build a website from scratch using prompts has become the essential feature in the industry. GoDaddy calls its AI service Airo. While the company hasn't provided exact specific metrics for Airo, it notes that it has reached an annualized run rate of "$10+ million" within the first few weeks of launch, indicatin...

Trident Digital Tech ( TDTH ) said on Friday that it received a letter dated April 28, 2026, from Nasdaq, notifying the company it has not regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement rule of $1.00 per share for continued listing. Nasdaq also said TDTH is not eligible for a second 180-day period to regain compliance because the company does not meet the initial listing stockholders’ equity requirement of $5M for the Nasdaq Capital Market. In addition, Nasdaq previously informed the company on March 26, 2026, that TDTH failed to maintain the minimum market value of listed securities of $35M required for continued listing for the 34 consecutive business day period from February 5, 2026, through March 20, 2026. Nasdaq afforded TDTH until September 22, 2026, to regain compliance. Nasdaq highlighted that the April 28 determination triggers a potential suspension and delisting schedule: unless TDTH requests an appeal to a Nasdaq Hearings Panel by May 5, 2026, the company’s securities will be scheduled for delisting and suspended at the opening of business on May 7, 2026, and a Form 25‑NSE will be filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to remove the securities from Nasdaq listing and registration. The company stated it intends to timely request a hearing before the Hearings Panel to present a plan to regain compliance with Rule 5550(a)(2) and to request continued listing pending its return to compliance. monsitj/iStock via Getty Images Gold and silver futures gained Friday, ending the week with back-to-back increases following the Federal Reserve's decision to keep rates steady and Fed Chair Powell's comments that he would stay on as a Fed governor after his chairmanship ends. On Friday, gold rose as oil prices fell after Iran reportedly presented a new proposal to mediators to resume peace talks with the U.S.; the dollar also edged lower , making greenback-priced bullion cheaper for buyers holding other currencies. Citi analysts said they expect gold to remain under pressure in the near term amid Middle East uncertainty, particularly "in the case of higher oil prices and another wave of equity market correction," reiterating a $4,300/oz target for the next three months. Citi is more bullish in the medium term, saying that "while gold tends to suffer alongside risky assets in the early stage of a major correction, we expect gold to eventually outshine as a haven asset, supported by heightened geopolitical uncertainty and rising stagflation risks," maintaining its 6-12 month target of $5,000/oz. Silver outgained gold on Friday, and Saxo Bank head of commodity strategy Ole Hansen said the metal's long-term outlook "remains supported by a sixth consecutive annual market deficit, shrinking above-ground inventories, and firm demand from solar and private investors." Front-month Comex gold ( XAUUSD:CUR ) for May delivery edged up 0.3% to $4,629.90/oz, and front-month Comex May silver ( XAGUSD:CUR ) added 3.3% to $75.951/oz; for the full week, gold and silver fell 2% and 0.6%, respectively. Leeds 40-22 Wakefield Rhino half-back Jake Connor masterminds bruising win Leeds Rhinos solidified their position at the Super League summit, with Jake Connor underlining his credentials as England’s starting half-back for this autumn’s World Cup as Brad Arthur’s side proved too strong for Wakefield Trinity. Despite spending almost half an hour with 12 men thanks to three separate sin-binnings, the Rhinos were the superior outfit against a Wakefield side who would have gone joint-top with victory. But in the end, it was Leeds who remain clear in first place after another fine showing in front of a bumper Headingley crowd. Continue reading...
