Shares of Lucid Group ( LCID ) fell over 2% in extended trading on Tuesday after the electric vehicle manufacturer posted a top-line miss along with a wider-than-anticipated loss for the first quarter. California-based Lucid reported a 20.2% rise in first-quarter revenue to $282.5 million, compared to estimates of $358.51 million. It posted an adjusted net loss of $2.82 versus consensus of -$2.30 for the quarter. "A supplier issue resolved during the quarter had an impact, but January and March deliveries were ahead of the same periods in the prior year," said Marc Winterhoff, interim chief executive officer at Lucid. The company added that it addressed these issues, and sales performance in March increased by 14% compared to March 2025. “Lucid is taking further steps to align production with anticipated deliveries and customer demand,” the company stated. Lucid produced 5,500 vehicles, up 149% from the first quarter of 2025, while it delivered 3,093 vehicles in the first quarter. It ended the quarter with approximately $3.2 billion in liquidity. The stock has lost over 39% so far this year, compared to the over 6% rise in the broader S&P 500 Index. Meanwhile, its total volume for the first quarter of 2026 hit $26.2 billion, up more than 90% from the prior quarter. A single-day record on Polymarket of $425 million was set in February, surpassing even the frenzy of Election Day 2024. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission 's decision to grant Polymarket a no-action letter and to allow it to resume doing business in the U.S. has dramatically accelerated that growth. Wall Street has noticed. NYSE parent company Intercontinental Exchange disclosed plans for a $2 billion investment in Polymarket at an $8 billion valuation in late 2025.
