【有線新聞】為了提升地下水管測漏效率，水務署與一間大學合作利用車載透地雷達進行探測，最近更聯同一間科技公司聯合研發管道機械人檢測技術。 「透地雷達是一種電磁波，見到反射的時候會看到它與泥有何不同，譬如金屬或者非金屬。」尤其是有水和沒有水，有空氣和沒有空氣，這些干擾使到我們可以在雷達波裏面做一個三維立體的成像，就像在醫院做體檢電腦掃描或X光。 理大教授賴緯樂在2022年開始與水務署合作，利用安裝在車後的透地雷達向下發射電磁波，再透過接收地底不同物質的反射信號，分析地下水管有沒有滲漏。賴緯樂：「可能喉管薄了，去到開始滲水，然後漏水到爆喉，其實與癌症一二三四期很相似。譬如說水土流失時可能比較初期可能有一灘水在那裡，我們找它出來就是早期的癌症，但如果有路陷或者可能在路陷前期，真的有大量水土流失，就等於晚期癌症的情況。」 整個設備除了要有透地雷達偵測地下水管狀況，亦必須要有定位的儀器去掌握水管可能滲漏的位置。賴緯樂：「上面看到有數個天線，全球導航衛星系統天線頭、做定位的，稍後配合雷達車上的360全景相做配對，圖像配對後拿取雷達定位，當我們沒有衛星、接收不好時，尤其在樹底或者高樓大廈的情況，我們便用這方法去做定位。」 為了進一步提升偵測效率，水務署在去年9月聯同理大和深圳一間科技公司成立管道機械人聯合實驗室，開發機械人檢測技術。 賴緯樂：「這個是在水管裏面，插進去的『內窺鏡』，為何稱為『內窺鏡』，因為它有前置鏡頭，還有一個後置鏡頭在後面。同一時間這裡有水底收聲器，因為聲音在水管裏面沒有方向性，但是鏡頭就有，所以聲音和影像兩者一定要互相配合才可以找到漏水位。」 賴緯樂說利用不同的科技和儀器去確定地下水管滲漏的位置，才可以收窄挖掘路面的範圍，減少對公眾的滋擾。

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) , global e-commerce and cloud computing services provider, closed Friday at $199.34, down 4.02%. The stock moved lower during the regular session as reports tied the drop to worries about rising AI-related capital spending, tougher macro and regulatory headwinds, and slowing retail growth. Investors will be watching how future AWS and retail profitability absorb heavier AI investment. The company’s trading volume reached 55.4 million shares, which is nearly 13% above compared with its three-month average of 49.1 million shares. Amazon went public in 1997 and has grown 203481% since its IPO. The broader markets weakened Friday, with the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX:^GSPC) closing at 6,378.85, down 1.67%, while the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX:^IXIC) finished at 20,948.36, falling 2.15%. V&G Studio/iStock via Getty Images Back in November last year, I was bullish on Ondas Inc. ( ONDS ) after the company reported strong Q3 results . I am now even more bullish after the Q4 earnings release , which I consider to be an inflection point in how the market perceives this company. The highlight in Q4 was a step-change in FY2026 guidance to at least $375 million. To put that value into perspective, that figure is more than double the company’s prior $170 million to $180 million outlook issued only days earlier and implies roughly 7x growth versus FY2025 revenue of $50.7 million. While the bears are arguing about the quality of that growth, I am not overly concerned with the recent acquisition spree. Management disclosed that $230 million, or 61% of the FY26 guidance, comes from the recent 5 acquisitions in Q1 2026, leaving roughly $145 million from the pre-Q1 2026 acquisition base. Even though that figure is not pure organic revenue, as it still includes contributions from last year's acquisitions, the organic revenue growth in Q4 was 63% YOY, a decent figure in my view. That's just the tip of the iceberg of my bull case on Ondas and the reason why I upgraded to a Buy. Below, I explain more. A Revenue Inflection Point By far, the main highlight in Q4 earnings was the FY 2026 revenue guidance of at least $375 million. For reference, just a few days prior to the Q4 release, the company guided $170 million-$180 million in FY 2026 revenue, excluding the impact of any new acquisitions announced in 2026. Ondas In other words, in just a few days, the company more than doubled its FY26 outlook, although bear in mind that the latest guidance includes the list from acquisitions. When comparing the $375M projected for FY26 with the revenue in 2025 of $50.7 million, the increase is 7x. Despite Friday's gain, bearish pressures remain for gold as doubts persist over any potential for a ceasefire in the Middle East war, even after President Trump pledged to refrain from attacks on Iran's energy sites for an additional 10 days. Gold prices have fallen nearly 15% s ince the war began on February 28, trading like a risk asset rather than a safe haven, moving largely in tandem with stocks and in an inverse relationship with oil. " The recent price action highlights how gold, during a supply-driven macro shock, has shifted into a source of liquidity... behaving more like a risk asset and moving in line with broader market stress, thereby failing to provide traditional safe-haven support," Saxo Bank analysts said in a note. Gold is facing extra pressure from central bank reserve sales, Julius Baer analyst Carsten Menke said in a note, even as his long-term view stays constructive. Menke said Turkey has sold ~54 metric tons of gold since the start of the Iran war to support the lira, and Poland is also considering a sale, adding that involuntary selling is more concerning than voluntary rebalancing, as they lack an element of control. The war has caused "pretty significant economic damage for Middle Eastern nations, who have been some of the participants in the official sector gold purchases," TD Securities analyst Daniel Ghali wrote. "While Turkey grabbed the headlines, this is probably a more prevalent trend across energy-import nations." Asia Begins Pricing US Oil Against Brent As Dubai Volatility Spikes Submitted by Michael Kern of OilPrice.com Asian refiners have started pricing their orders for U.S. crude oil against the ICE Brent benchmark instead of the typical pricing on Dubai crude, as the Middle Eastern benchmark has seen wild fluctuations amid choked physical supply from the Persian Gulf. Dubai crude prices soared last week to an all-time high of $169.75 per barrel, and were around $130 a barrel early on Friday. These highly volatile prices and the uncertainty about supply from the Middle East have prompted refiners in Asia to seek pricing against Brent , instead of the Dubai benchmark which has traditionally been the marker dictating the price of imports into the world's top crude-importing region. Some Japanese refiners have already bought U.S. crude cargoes for delivery in July priced against ICE Brent, sources at trading and refining firms told Reuters on Friday. Taiyo Oil, for example, has purchased 2 million barrels of U.S. light crude via a tender at a premium of $19 per barrel over ICE Brent for July delivery, according to Reuters' sources. Taiyo Oil usually buys U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude priced against the Dubai benchmark. The major shift in Asian pricing shows the market's unwillingness to price trades against Dubai crude, whose prices have been severely distorted in recent weeks due to the major physical supply disruptions with the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Asian refiners are also forced to pay massive premiums for non-Middle Eastern crude, especially for the sour variety suitable for Asian refineries geared to process the sulfur crude from the Persian Gulf.
