Hutt, who served as director of product and customer engineering, was a prominent figure behind Amazon’s Trainium chips, the report noted. Amazon ( AMZN ) acquired the Israeli startup Annapurna Labs in 2015 for $350M. The report added that Hutt is the second senior Annapurna executive to exit in the past seven months, following Rami Sinno’s departure to Arm Holdings ( ARM ) in August. Amazon ( AMZN ) has also seen other high-profile exits, including Rohit Prasad, senior vice president and head scientist for artificial general intelligence, who left at the end of 2025.
