I base this belief on three factors: its entrenched competitive position based on switching costs and engineering know-how; its decentralized operating model, which generates superior margins across every part of the cycle; and its disciplined acquisition engine, which helps continually to expand the company's addressable market while avoiding margin dilution. This secular growth driver is an additional tailwind to the already resilient and diversified revenue streams of the business in the face of the ramp-up of AI data center expansion. I have used a valuation model to arrive at a fair value of approximately $170 per share; this implies around 39x my 2026E adjusted EPS estimate, a valuation I believe is justified by the franchise durability. Company Overview Amphenol makes ultra-high-performance electrical connectors, sensors, and interconnect systems for situations where failure is not an option (avionics, electric-vehicle battery management, military weapon systems, power grids, hyperscale data centers). The company benefits from a diversified product and end-market base, none of which by itself accounts for more than ~25% of sales, providing a natural hedge against cyclicality in any particular vertical. Organizationally, Amphenol is organized along the lines of more than 140 autonomous general managers (GMs) around the world, each of whom has full responsibility for pricing, cost controls, and customer responsiveness within their operations.
