Alex Cristi /iStock via Getty Images Right now, there is a lot of fear dominating in the stock market. We continue to get mixed signals and headlines about progress in ending the conflict in Iran, while the impact of sharply higher oil prices has already made shockwaves throughout a macroeconomy that is already bruised by high inflation. Meanwhile, investors maintain a wary eye on AI, still convinced that it's a net headwind rather than a tailwind to tech stocks. These are the moments, however, that intrepid investors can stand to gain the most in wading into the stock market, especially in individual tech stocks that have fallen sharply from recent highs. Braze, Inc. ( BRZE ) is a prime example here: the customer experience software company has shed roughly half of its value over the past year, though a much stronger-than-expected Q4 earnings print recently sent the stock soaring ~20%. Data by YCharts I last wrote a buy article on Braze in December, when the stock was trading at a whopping $36 per share. Needless to say, I did not predict the "SaaSpocalypse" that would overtake the stock market in early 2026. Though Braze has been a major decliner in my portfolio, when we take a fresh look at the stock today (as we should after such a massive valuation reset), we find very little to be concerned about; in fact, the company's growth execution helps to suggest that the company is a lot more AI-resistant than we may have thought. I am reiterating my buy rating here. Today, there are two major arguments against Braze that have driven massive pessimism against the stock. The first is that the company is in the least popular area of enterprise software: marketing software. As a reminder, Braze's core use case is to help brands automate customer engagement and omnichannel messaging, using customer data to help target for results. The issue against sales/marketing software companies is primarily macro-driven. Brands are investing less in growth and marketing when consumer ...

Meta has lost the first of three child safety trials it's facing this year after a jury in a New Mexico state court found that the social media giant's platforms do not effectively protect kids from child exploitation. On Tuesday, the jury deliberated for only one day before agreeing that Meta should pay $375 million in civil damages for violating state consumer protections and misleading parents about the safety of its apps. The trial followed a 2023 lawsuit filed by New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez after The Guardian published a two-year investigation exposing child sex trafficking markets on Facebook and Instagram. Torrez's office then conducted an undercover investigation codenamed "Operation MetaPhile," in which officers posed as children on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The jury heard that these fake profiles were "simply inundated with images and targeted solicitations” from child abusers, Torrez told CNBC in 2024. Ultimately, three men were arrested amid the sting for attempting to use Meta's social networks to prey on children. Read full article Comments

Democrats Flip Trump's Mar-a-Lago District In Florida Special Election Upset Democrats flipped a reliably red Florida state House seat that includes President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Tuesday, scoring a narrow but symbolically significant victory in a special election that drew national attention. Democrat Emily Gregory defeated Trump-endorsed Republican Jon Maples in House District 87 by just over 2 percentage points , according to unofficial results. The win marks an approximately 11-point swing toward Democrats compared to the 2024 performance in the Palm Beach County district. Gregory, a first-time candidate who runs a fitness center for postpartum moms and has a background in public health and mental health administration, campaigned on affordability, taxes and kitchen-table issues. Maples, a financial planner and former local council member, had received an endorsement from Trump , who along with first lady Melania Trump and their son Barron voted by mail in the contest. “I think it demonstrates where the Florida voter is,” Gregory told Politico after her victory. “They want someone who is focused on solutions and the issues and not focused on the noise.” Democrats also picked up a narrow win in a Tampa-area state Senate seat , where union leader and Navy veteran Brian Nathan defeated former state Rep. Josie Tomkow by a slim margin despite being outspent roughly 10-to-1. The two Democratic victories will not alter Republican supermajorities in the Florida Legislature. But they come as the latest data point in a series of special-election overperformances and flips for Democrats in the state since Trump’s 2024 victory there - and amid a broader national trend of Democrats gaining ground in state legislative races over the past year. Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried credited the party's sustained organizing with the win. “This victory reiterates an undeniable trend in Florida: With year-round organizing and infrastructure investment, Democra...

Pinpointing the best-performing stocks over three years is no easy task. If you rewind the clock to March 2023, the world looks far different now than it did then. If you repeat this exercise another three years, back to 2020, the amount of change the world can go through in just three years is nothing short of incredible. That's what makes predicting what will happen by March 2029 so hard, but th...
Pinpointing the best-performing stocks over three years is no easy task. If you rewind the clock to March 2023, the world looks far different now than it did then. If you repeat this exercise another three years, back to 2020, the amount of change the world can go through in just three years is nothing short of incredible. That's what makes predicting what will happen by March 2029 so hard, but that's exactly what we need to do as investors. Investors must identify multi-year trends and find the best stocks to invest in them, and what is a bigger trend than generative artificial intelligence (AI)? This technology can reshape what the world will look like over the next three years, and it has already done so over the past three. If this technology continues to drive huge change, then I think these three stocks are no-brainer investments that will make their shareholders a ton of money. Image source: Getty Images. Irada Zaitova/iStock via Getty Images Last spring, I assigned a strong buy rating to Monster Beverage ( MNST ), and the stock has since outperformed the market despite a significant decline this month. Plus 19% since publication is a decent result, but the dramatic reaction to the latest earnings report led to a 15% drop in shares, making it a good time to reassess my position and take action. Despite the generally good report and strong numbers , the stock has come under pressure. I rechecked the TTM quantitative metrics and confirmed that the company's finances have not deteriorated. The management remains confident in its current position and future growth. Therefore, I maintain my strong buy rating, betting on long-term attractiveness and growth against short-term pressures. High-Quality Idea My approach to investing is systematic and algorithmic. I use my own 8-factor model to evaluate any business and assess its attractiveness. Last time, MNST scored 85/100. Today, it's 80/100. And this score is still associated with a strong buy rating or "attractive" status. The only variable in my approach that didn't exceed the desired threshold, separating MNST from the maximum rating, is future EPS growth compared to the current one. Expected EPS for Dec 2028 is $2.88, which implies a 3-year CAGR of approximately 13%. Actual EPS growth over the same period is 20%. Author's method I see no negative aspects to all other valuation parameters. MNST continues to dominate the market, demonstrating high margins and management efficiency while remaining virtually debt-free. Fair-Priced Business Due to the quality of its business and its efficient model, MSNT has never been cheap in absolute terms, and the current non-GAAP valuation of 37x, even after a significant correction, confirms this. However, in my opinion, the current price offers a good opportunity to enter the stock for those who haven't yet done so or to increase the position for loyal long-term investors. My opinion ...
