Activist fund Ananym Capital Management is pushing nuclear technology company BWX Technologies Inc. to tap its nuclear reactor manufacturing capabilities for commercial use. Ananym said BWX has the potential to more than double its market value by 2028 through licensing or developing its own designs for small modular reactors, or SMRs, according to a presentation by co-founder and Chief Investment Officer Alex Silver . Silver presented the pitch, which was reviewed by Bloomberg News, on Tuesday at the Sohn Investment Conference in New York. The Lynchburg, Virginia-based nuclear components manufacturer supplies nuclear reactors and fuel to the US Navy. It also provides heavy components to commercial nuclear reactors manufactured by companies such as Westinghouse , as well as servicing nuclear plants. Shares of BWX, which have gained 20% this year, fell 1.9% Tuesday in New York trading, giving the company a market value of about $19 billion. A representative for BWX didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Charlie Penner , a co-founder and head of engagement at Ananym, said the increasing demand for energy and bipartisan support for nuclear power in the US is creating a massive market for commercial nuclear power. A growing shift toward energy independence will also increase demand, he said. Ananym is pushing BWX to redevelop an SMR design it shelved in 2017, Penner said. The SMR would likely be less expensive to manufacture and use less water, he said . “This is a great company and they know the space best, but we are encouraging them to fully explore commercializing their mPower pressurized water SMR, which we think would attract significant buyer interest today and result in substantial long-term value creation, while still serving as a picks-and-shovels provider to other types of reactors,” Penner said. Ananym contends that the cost to push into a new business line would be manageable for BWX, considering most of the design work is done and the company...

Michael Vi/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Yelp Inc.'s ( YELP ) Q1 '26 wasn't enough to change the prevailing narrative around the stock overnight, but it was a strong quarter with a beat on the top line. Over the year, I believe the perception of Yelp has been that it's losing relevance. The company competes in a competitive market where reviews about experiences and places are everywhere. Indeed, the underlying economics are weak, with ad clicks declining and paying advertising locations down. While you're not going to get an exciting story with accelerating toplines, I view Yelp as a business that generates real cash, buys back its stock aggressively, has a net cash balance sheet, and trades at a valuation that doesn't make sense. At around $29 a share with an enterprise value of roughly $1.3 billion against 2026 EBITDA guidance of $320 million at the midpoint, the market is pricing this business at a low-single-digit EBITDA multiple. Even subtracting the $100 million in annual SBC to get to true economic EBITDA of around $220 million, you're paying roughly 6x economic EBITDA for a business with no debt, $300 million in cash, and a buyback program that retired 12% of the diluted share count in a single year. Recapping Yelp's Q1 results When looking at the latest results for Yelp, the company put up revenue of $361.5 million that grew 1% year over year. This represented a beat of $8 million relative to analyst expectations and came in at the high end of management's guidance by $6 million. EBITDA of $79.4 million declined 7% year over year but came in $15 million above the high end of guidance, thanks to better cost management. On the bottom line, EPS of $0.66 was in line with sell-side estimates. Seeking Alpha Looking at the revenue breakdown, the actual service ad revenue, which covers home services, auto, legal, and other professional categories, was up 1% to $233.8 million. This is the core of what Yelp is trying to build around, and the stability there is e...

TORONTO, May 12, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- “ The first quarter of 2026 was an important period for Dundee as it marked a meaningful step in the execution of our strategy, ” said Jonathan Goodman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dundee Corporation. “During the quarter, we closed an $85 million strategic partnership with Westhaven Gold Corp. to advance the Shovelnose Gold Project and the Spences Bridge Gold Belt. This transaction builds on Dundee’s long history as an active and engaged mining investor and represents a meaningful step toward deeper technical involvement, more direct project ownership, and potential future operatorship. In addition, we further strengthened our liquidity position through the sale of our net smelter royalty on the Borborema Gold Project.”

Club president launches scathing attack on media No mention of turmoil, fights or José Mourinho “Good afternoon, I regret to inform you that I’m not going to resign.” In a hot, packed press room at Valdebebas before an audience hurriedly summoned to witness a news conference so bizarre that they could barely believe what they were seeing, Florentino Pérez sat at a desk with a phone that he kept looking at and some papers that he didn’t, and announced that he was calling presidential elections at Real Madrid. What he didn’t announce was a date, an electoral commission, the resignation that is required for polling to actually happen, or indeed any details at all. There was nothing about Madrid’s on-field issues either, nothing about the coach, no mention of José Mourinho, no explanation for the season they have just suffered. “I’m not here to talk about sporting issues,” Pérez said. Instead, he was there to deliver a surreal, repetitive rant that lasted over an hour, way after his own staff had tried to bring it to a close. A room of people, including the directors in the front row and lined up against one wall, looked at each other: yes, this was actually happening. Pérez went on and on, and on, the incoherent ramblings of a 79-year-old man who insisted “my health is perfect”. Continue reading...

But if it hits that valuation, it would be valued at a whopping 95 times its 2025 revenue of $18.5 billion. The bulls believe SpaceX could grow into that valuation as it expands its Starlink satellite constellation and launches more Falcon rockets. However, the bears believe the market's enthusiasm for SpaceX will quickly fizzle out as its valuations catch up to the stock. They'll also point out that it's unprofitable and faces stiff competition from smaller companies. Image source: Getty Images. Continue reading
