Everus Construction Group's ( ECG ) shares rose after the company issued above-consensus guidance, supported by growing data-centre demand and solid execution. Conversely, Alphatec Holdings' ( ATEC ) shares sold off after reporting fourth-quarter earnings below elevated investor expectations, alongside heightened scrutiny across high-growth medical device names. ADMA Biologics' ( ADMA ) shares declined after management failed to directly address key concerns on revenue quality, leading to sustained pressure on the stock. Shares of Q2 Holdings ( QTWO ) fell amid continued investor concerns regarding potential AI-driven disruption. Market review For the first quarter, US small caps gained marginally and outperformed broader US equities, which fell over the period. US equities were relatively resilient earlier in the quarter. Fire Erupts At HF Sinclair Refinery In Tulsa Local media in Tulsa, Oklahoma, report that the HF Sinclair refinery, which has a crude-processing capacity of 125,000 barrels per day, has suffered a fire. This comes just days after another refinery fire in the New Orleans area. Fox 23 News reports that the Tulsa Fire Department is currently on the scene after a fire broke out at the refinery in West Tulsa earlier today. The refinery is critical because it primarily processes sweet crude, can handle some sour Canadian crude, and markets refined products to the Mid-Continent states. Its products include gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, renewable diesel, lubricants, specialty chemicals, and asphalt. Neither the outlet nor local authorities have released information about what caused the fire or whether any components at the refinery were damaged. He was an oil trader at Shell, J.P. Morgan, and Phibro. He founded a successful hedge fund, Global Advisors, and he took an early interest in cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ), which today trades around $80,000 per token, down from over $126,000 in October 2025, traded in a range of $13.29 to $1,135.45 per token in 2013. While Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have experienced boom-and-bust price action since 2013, early supporters like Danny Masters; Rus Newton, an early CSHR investor and partner in Global Advisors; and the company’s CEO, Jean-Marie Mognetti, have been on the cutting edge of the asset class. CSHR shares only began trading in the U.S. a few weeks ago. After an initial decline from the first trading day high, the shares will likely begin to correlate with the cryptocurrency asset class. Please note that the digital advertising industry is defined as Alphabet’s ( GOOG ) advertising revenue+ Meta’s ( META ) advertising revenue+ Snap ( SNAP ) revenue+ Pinterest ( PINS ) revenue+ Microsoft ( MSFT ) Search advertising revenue+ Amazon ( AMZN ) advertising revenue+ Trade Desk ( TTD ) revenue+ AppLovin ( APP ) revenue. Also note that for visual convenience, I have colored all the Q1 of the last five years. Obviously, the actual digital advertising industry is larger than this, but this snapshot helps me gauge the broader digital advertising industry’s big picture. TikTok ( TIKTOK ) and Walmart ( WMT ) advertising are notably missing here. Well, TikTok is a private company and Walmart doesn’t disclose their advertising revenue consistently even though Walmart now actually has a larger ad business than everyone in this snapshot except the big tech, i.e., Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft. Some key takeaways from 1Q’26: Digital advertising industry saw a material growth acceleration in 1Q’26 as it increased by 22.1% YoY! This was the highest growth rate since 4Q’21. However, nearly half of the incremental growth came from just one company: Meta Platforms! Given that 2022 numbers were affected by ATT impact, it’s more instructive to see Meta’s incremental share from 2023 onwards. Digital advertising industry is one of the more efficient markets out there, as the incremental dollar tends to flow to wherever the ROAS is the most compelling. Meta’s utter dominance in incremental share in the digital advertising industry clearly shows it is getting harder and harder for advertisers to find better ROAS elsewhere. Google Search seemed to have held onto a steady ~33% share in incremental advertising dollars over the last three years.
