On Tuesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran wants certain requirements to be met before it ends the war against the US and Israel. On March 25, the country outlined those five points, which haven’t been changed since. They are summarized here: A complete halt to US and Israeli attacks on Iran The conclusion of the war across all fronts, including conflicts against Iran-backed groups throughout the Middle East Pledges that the US and Israel won’t attack Iran again in future, including the establishment of mechanisms to ensure this Payment of war damages and reparations International recognition of Iran’s sovereign right to exercise authority over the Strait of Hormuz (Source: Bloomberg)

We've got a brand new trailer for Masters of the Universe , the new film adaptation of the 1980s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series. As previously reported , Sony Pictures gained the rights in 2009, and there were multiple script rewrites and much shuffling of possible directors (with John Chu, McG, and David S. Goyer among the candidates). This went on until 2022, when Netflix acquired the rights after its success with animated shows starring Kyle Allen as He-Man. Netflix canceled the project the following year, though, citing budget concerns, so Allen never got that big-screen break. And then Amazon MGM stepped in, tapping Travis Knight ( Bumblebee , Kubo and the Two Strings ) as director and casting Nicholas Galitzine (2021’s Cinderella , 100 Nights of Hero ) as He-Man. In addition to Galitzine, the cast includes Camila Mendes as Teela; Jared Leto as Keldor/Skeletor; Alison Brie as Professor Evelyn Powers (aka Evil-Lyn), lieutenant to Skeletor; Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms; Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull; Johannes Haukur as Malcolm/Fisto; James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley as King Randor and Queen Marlena, rulers of Eternia; Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, Adam/He-Man’s BFF on Earth; Kristen Wiig as Roboto; Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man; Kojo Attah as the bounty hunter Tri-Klops; Sam C. Wilson as cyborg/weapons expert Kronis/Trap-Jaw; and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man. Read full article Comments

winhorse Nike ( NKE ) slipped in postmarket trading on Tuesday after pointing to some early wins in its road to recovery. Revenue was up 0.1% year-over-year in FQ3 on a reported basis to $11.3 billion. On a constant currency basis, revenue was down 3% for the quarter. Total footwear revenue was up 2% to $7.3B vs. $7.2B consensus, while apparel revenue was flat compared to a year ago at $3.2B vs. $3.3B consensus. Revenue for the Nike brand was up 1% to $11.0B, primarily due to declines in EMEA and Greater China, partially offset by growth in North America. Nike Direct revenue was down 4% to $4.5B on a reported basis and down 7% on a currency-neutral basis, due to a 9% decrease in Nike Brand Digital and a 5% decrease in Nike-owned retail stores. Wholesale revenue rose 5% during the quarter on a reported basis. Gross margin for the Oregon-based company decreased 130 basis points from a year ago to 40.2% of sales to top the consensus mark of 39.8%. The margin decline was primarily due to higher tariffs in North America. Net income for the apparel giant was down 35% year-over-year to $0.5B. GAAP EPS of $0.35 was ahead of the consensus estimate of $0.42 but below last year's mark of $0.54. Nike ( NKE ) ended the quarter with inventory down 1% from a year ago at $7.5B. Nike's ( NKE ) cash position at the end of the quarter was $8.1B, vs. $10.4B a year ago, as cash generated by operations was more than offset by cash dividends, bond repayment, capital expenditures, and share repurchases. "This quarter we took meaningful actions to improve the health and quality of our business. The pace of progress is different across the portfolio, and the areas we prioritized first continue to drive momentum," highlighted CEO Elliott Hill. "The work is not finished, but the direction is clear, our teams are moving with focus and urgency, and our foundation is getting even stronger to build the future of NIKE," he added. Shares of Nike ( NKE ) moved down 1.3% in postmarket trading after mo...

One Man Thinks He Knows "Why Everything Sucks" Authored by Matt Van Swol via X, I think I know why everything sucks... ...and it's because everything is fake We are getting fake college degrees that cost 4 years and six figures that teach you fake education and get you fake jobs. We are eating fake food, with fake ingredients, funded by fake research. We are scrolling through fake lives, with fake relationships, who take fake, curated vacations to promote brands that make fake products. We are voting for fake candidates, who run on fake promises, inside a fake system that was never designed to fix anything. We are raising kids in fake schools that teach fake history, fake science, which quietly produce fake adults who can't think for themselves. We are watching fake news, about fake crises, produced by fake journalists, for fake outrage. We are borrowing fake money that was printed from nothing, to fund a fake economy that would collapse in an afternoon if people stopped pretending it was real. We are buying fake organic food that's just a paid label, and drinking fake juice with two percent juice in it, and putting fake cheese on cheeseburgers that's just "cheese product" on fake burger meat. We are donating to fake nonprofits where the money never makes it to the people and then funding fake foreign aid that buys real weapons to prop up fake governments. We are going to fake therapy that teaches fake coping skills instead of telling you hard truths. We are buying fake furniture made of fake wood that's actually compressed sawdust and glue that looks like wood, ships in fourteen boxes with instructions written in a fake language that isn't quite any language, requires tools it doesn't include, takes 4 hours to build, wobbles on day 1, and is totally destroyed in 6 months. We are downloading fake "free" apps that charge a subscription after three days for AI features that don't work, hidden behind a paywall we didn't see, protected by a privacy policy we didn't read...
