( GCTS ) is going to report its Q1 numbers on May 12th , so I wanted to begin coverage of the company to see if there is an opportunity to start a position as the company turns its business around. It is very interesting what is happening, but I am still going to remain on the sidelines until the worries I have are put to rest. What to Expect Analysts are expecting GCT Semiconductor to still make a loss of 12 cents for the upcoming quarter and only make around $1.76m in revenues. The revenue number translates to 132% growth sequentially, which is a massive growth improvement. Also, the y/y growth is even more impressive at 252%. Unfortunately, the management didn’t provide us with any concrete numbers regarding the upcoming quarter but did give us some qualitative color. The management expects to see sequential quarterly growth in revenue and 5G chipset shipments in 2026, which coincides with the analysts’ quite large growth in the top-line performance. I think the message is clear that the testing throughput issues in Q4 ’25 production volumes were fixed in Q1 ’26, so we should expect the upcoming quarter to be much better than the last one. The company doesn’t have many quarters under its belt after its SPAC IPO, but it has missed quite a bit on revenue numbers and some on EPS numbers. Seeking Alpha Do I think the company is going to miss on estimates once again? I think we may be pleasantly surprised going forward. A beat on the top and bottom lines is not out of the question because the company’s production seems to be ramping up considerably, and because the management didn’t really provide numerical guidance, analysts are essentially guessing what the company will make.
