The reason is consistency. It has been steadily growing over the last few years and will continue to do so over the next few years. It is too expensive to buy at these prices, but there is no reason to sell yet. Briefly On The Company GRC is a specialized pump maker that designs, manufactures, and sells pumps, pump systems, and related controls for water, wastewater, construction, dewatering, industrial, fire suppression, HVAC, and military applications. Its model relies on engineered products, which involve a broad distributor network, direct sales in some markets, as well as aftermarket service and parts support. The company wouldn’t call itself a commodity-only pump seller, as it emphasizes application-specific, durable equipment and its customer support. Briefly On Performance Starting from the top, we can see that the company’s total sales have been heading in the right direction. The demand overall for its products is healthy, but it is nothing to write home about. Seeking Alpha We can have a look at the latest full-year performances over the last three years to gauge what drove the total revenue growth. FY25 10-K has a nice breakdown of end markets as well as their performance for the last three years. Here, we can see that the industrial segment started to recover, and the fire segment as well. At the high level, we can see that the mix shifted towards more stable and higher-quality categories in FY25, mainly municipal, OEM, repair parts, and industrial, while the construction segment lagged, and fire is still well below its FY23 performance. Business uncertainty about employment growth (smoothed) for the year ahead increased to 4.46% from 4.43% in the prior month. The survey of business uncertainty is a panel survey measuring year-ahead expectations that U.S. firms have about their sales and employment growth. International Business Machines Corp. is deepening its bet on the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park in Chicago, with plans to add 750 jobs over the next five years. The positions will be focused artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cybersecurity and data science, according to a joint statement Wednesday from the company and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker . IBM, which will get $19 million from a state tax-credit program, said it would also establish the FutureNow Chicago center at the tech hub. The plans bolster Pritzker’s efforts to attract more jobs and business projects to the state, especially in advanced technologies. The quantum park, which was announced in July 2024 and broke ground last September, got a jump start from an initial $1 billion investment by Palo Alto, California-based PsiQuantum Corp. The facility will replace a closed US Steel plant on Chicago’s South Side. “IBM’s investment in Illinois is a powerful vote of confidence in our state’s growing technology and quantum ecosystem and the world-class workforce that powers it,” Pritzker said in the statement. The company said in late 2024 that it would establish a national algorithm center for quantum computing at the Chicago development, with partners including the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. babyrhino/iStock via Getty Images Investment Overview AstraZeneca ( AZN ), the United Kingdom-headquartered Pharma giant, announced its Q1 2026 earnings today. Pre-market, the stock was down ~1%, priced at $185 per share, and AstraZeneca's market cap valuation stands at $289.6bn, making it the fifth largest pharmaceutical globally, by my calculation. The Pharma reported total revenues of $15.29bn, up 8% year-on-year on a constant currency basis, with $14.39bn of product revenues and $825m of alliance revenues. Gross margin was 82%, and operating profit $4.25bn - up 17% year-on-year. Reported earnings per share ("EPS") was $1.99 - up 8% year-on-year - and R&D expenses for the quarter were $3.5bn, and SG&A expenses were $4.92bn. For the full-year 2026, AstraZeneca reiterated its guidance for a mid-to-high single-digit percentage increase in total revenues and for core EPS - $2.58 in Q1 - to increase by a low-double-digit percentage (from $6.6 on a GAAP basis in 2025). The Pharma also reported that its net debt had risen from $23.4bn at the end of 2025, to $25.9bn at the end of Q1, mainly owing to $3.3bn of dividend payouts - the company's annual dividend yield is ~1.7%. Analysis - AstraZeneca The Oncology Powerhouse Makes $80bn Revenue Target Achievable In 2025, AstraZeneca reported "blockbuster" (>$1bn per annum) revenues for no fewer than six oncology drugs. Lung cancer med Tagrisso earned >$7.25bn revenues, Imfinzi (solid tumors) >$4.7bn, Lynparza (ovarian/breast/pancreatic) >$3.6bn, Calquence (B-cell malignancies) >$3.1bn, Enhertu (breast/lung/gastric) >$1.9bn, and Zoladex (prostate, breast) ~$1.1bn. All six drugs grew revenues year-on-year in Q1 2026, underlining the strength of AstraZeneca's oncology division, while more recently launched meds Truqap (breast cancer, approved in 2023), with $198m of revenues, and Datroway (breast cancer, approved in 2025), with $43m, showed strong year-on-year growth.
