They’ll also gain complimentary “Five Star” status on rentals at Hertz Global Holdings Inc. , among other additions. Amex, best known for its travel and hospitality-focused credit cards, will be updating the rewards portfolio without raising the $325 annual fee. The Gold Card was last fully refreshed in 2024. About three-quarters of millennial and Gen Z consumers said in a survey that travel was a non-negotiable expense for them, New York-based Amex said in the statement.
