Colombia hosted nearly 60 countries at pivotal time on world stage for fight to transition to a clean energy future Looking out to sea from the grey sandy beaches of Santa Marta, on Colombia’s Caribbean coast, it is never hard to spot evidence of the country’s thriving fossil fuel export trade. Oil tankers ride at anchor on the horizon, and sometimes, locals say, lumps of coal wash up on the shore, blown off the collier ships that carry cargos from the nearby mines. It was here, on Wednesday evening, that the Colombian government took a bold step to shift its economy – and that of the rest of the world – away from dependence on coal, gas and oil and into a new era of clean energy. With the first ever conference on “transitioning away from fossil fuels”, the host joined nearly 60 countries determined to loosen of the grip of petrostates on the world’s future. "Part of what we're rolling out with age check, we believe, is the real, right long-term way to build this platform," CEO David Baszucki said Friday on CNBC's " Squawk Box ." In a letter to shareholders , the gaming company wrote that its new age-check feature "restricted on-platform communication for non-age checked users, diluted communication for age-checked users, and slowed new user acquisition," causing greater-than-expected headwinds. In January, the company restricted its chat feature to users who completed its age-check verification . According to the company, 73% of age-checked daily active users on Roblox were under 18, with 35% under 13 as of January 31. To account for the slowed growth, Roblox slashed its full-year 2026 guidance. The company updated its full-year 2026 bookings to fall between $7.33 billion and $7.6 billion. It forecasted 2026 bookings to be almost $1 billion higher last quarter , falling between $8.28 billion and $8.55 billion. Dave Kotinsky/Getty Images Entertainment Shares of GoDaddy ( GDDY ) fell about 2% on Friday after first quarter results, while analysts were largely neutral. The firm kept its Equal Weight rating on the stock but raised the price target to $83 from $77. "GDDY reported in-line 1Q EPS , while guiding 2Q bookings to a significant re-acceleration (at least +6% y/y vs. 1Q +3%) on lower promo activity. While bookings guide is +VE, ramping competitive intensity suggests further volatility could lie ahead," said analysts led by Alec Brondolo. The analysts noted that GoDaddy guided second-quarter revenue/EBITDA 1%/3%, respectively, ahead of consensus at the high end, while not changing its full-year guidance. The analysts believe the lack of flow through to full-year guidance is a function of conservatism rather than an expectation of weaker second-half results. "Mgmt to begin marketing Airo AI Builder in May, but will find cost savings to offset investments (AI efficiencies in other areas of the business), allowing for continued margin expansion. Expect customer count to continue to grow q/q in 2Q - 4Q, but only modestly," said Brondolo and his team. More on GoDaddy GoDaddy Inc. bymuratdeniz S&P Global ( SPGI ) said on Thursday that its unit S&P Dow Jones Indices is considering rule changes for megacap companies seeking to IPO into its indexes. S&P DJI defines megacaps as any company with a market capitalization equal to or greater than the 100th largest company in the S&P Total Market Index. The proposed changes would apply to S&P 500 ( SP500 ), S&P MidCap 400 ( SP400 ), and S&P SmallCap 600 ( SP600 ) indexes. The unit has launched a consultation on proposals that include a modification to the seasoning period. The companies are required to trade on an eligible exchange for at least 12 months before being considered for addition to an index. The proposed changes include cutting the time to six months. Additionally, the index provider is mulling waiving off the minimum 0.10 IWF eligibility requirement and Financial Viability Criteria requirement. The Investible Weight Factor, or IWF, determines the percentage of a company's outstanding shares available for trading in the public market. The Financial Viability Criteria ensures a company is financially healthy enough to be considered a representative of the market. Furthermore, S&P DJI is considering changing the IWF-related rules for companies seeking an entry into the S&P Total Market Index ( SPTMI ), S&P Completion Index (SPCMI), and Dow Jones U.S. Total Stock Market Index (DWCF). For companies seeking an entry into the S&P Composite 1500 Index ( SP1500 ), the proposed rule change includes shortening the seasoning period for entry eligibility to six months from 12 months. The consultation is open for public feedback until Thursday, May 28, 2026. The news comes as U.S. regulators try to make IPO and capital raise rules easier for companies by cutting disclosure requirements or accelerating the registration process.
