However, the market sentiment has shifted towards more defensive stance and investors started repricing all aggressive growth stories in 2026. Thus, SOFI has been down by more than 30% since early December. After such a sharp drop, SOFI's valuation now looks much better than it did in late 2025. The company's PEG ratio has dropped to 0.79 , significantly lower compared to the mature financial services sector's multiple of 0.97. Seeking Alpha SOFI's low PEG ratio implies that it has an extremely bullish forward P/E ratio setup. If we delve into detail in terms of forward P/E, we can see that the projected trajectory of P/E compression is reasonable as it factors in aggressive EPS growth deceleration as large numbers kick in. For a rapidly growing business like SOFI, the estimated forward P/E for FY2027 of just 23 looks quite attractive. For example, in my previous SOFI article I highlighted that the projected FY2027 forward P/E was as high as 35 in early December. I think that SOFI currently looks much more attractive because there were no disappointments from the fundamentals side. The company's Q4 earnings were stellar with another dual beat. Quarterly revenue surpassed $1 billion for the first time in history, increasing by impressive 37% YoY. A South Korean court jailed two doctors on Wednesday for murdering a baby they delivered at 36 weeks of pregnancy and left to die in a freezer. This result capped a year of elevated volatility, yet one in which the bond market posted gains in all four quarters. For the full year, the Aggregate index rose 7.30%, its best annual result since 2020. Quarterly performance was fueled by a combination of elevated starting yields and price appreciation, as bond prices rose amid falling interest rates and investor demand, supported by stable fundamentals. The U.S. Federal Reserve, after resuming the monetary easing program it had paused from January until September of this year, followed through with additional policy rate reductions in October and December. The three rate cuts in 2025's second half, each of a quarter percentage point (25 basis points), brought the federal funds rate down to a target range of 3.5% to 3.75%, from a peak range of 5.25% to 5.5%, which the central bank maintained from July 2023 to September 2024. The reductions drove short-term bond yields lower and contributed to gains for the investment-grade bond market in October and November (both +0.62%). Following its December meeting, though, Fed officials signaled they might hold steady for now.
