Hailshadow/iStock via Getty Images Following a brief trading halt, Regenxbio ( RGNX ) lost ~18% in the premarket on Thursday after the company, alongside its Q1 2026 results, posted late-stage trial data for RGX-202, a gene therapy targeting Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare neuromuscular disease. The one-time therapy is designed to enable the expression of microdystrophin, which resembles dystrophin, a protein that patients with Duchenne are unable to produce due to mutations in the Duchenne gene. Citing topline data from the pivotal Phase 3 portion of its Phase 1/2/3 Affinity Duchenne trial, the Maryland-based biotech stated that RGX-202 reached its primary endpoint with statistical significance, as 93% of trial subjects achieved more than 10% of microdystrophin expression. Additionally, one-year functional data from nine trial subjects indicated that RGX-202 caused a statistically significant correlation between microdystrophin expression and interim functional improvement, according to the company. As for safety, RGX-202 was well tolerated by patients, even though there were two serious adverse events: one case of myocarditis and another of asymptomatic liver injury, both of which resolved within weeks. Noting that the FDA has stated the use of RGX-202 microdystrophin expression could be a surrogate endpoint if there is a correlation with clinical outcomes, Regenxbio ( RGNX ) announced plans to advance the treatment to potential accelerated approval and a commercial launch next year. Pakistan sold its first yuan-denominated notes in China’s onshore market, marking its cheapest foreign-currency bond offering ever. The junk- rated country priced the 1.75 billion yuan ($258 million) of three-year panda bonds at a coupon of 2.5% Thursday, people familiar with the matter said. The bond was more than five times oversubscribed, they said, helping to drive the borrowing cost more than 500 basis points lower than Pakistan’s outstanding dollar notes, which carry an average coupon of 7.7%. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and Asian Development Bank are guaranteeing 95% of the sustainable development bond, effectively bumping the issuance up to investment-grade paper in a market that still largely prefers high-rated names. Locking in cheaper funding costs is particularly helpful for Pakistan, which is struggling with high debt payments and relies on International Monetary Fund bailout loans. The Middle East war has exacerbated the challenges by pushing up the cost of oil, prompting Pakistan to increase interest rates recently. The war has also boosted the appeal of Chinese assets as a relative safe haven . Lower funding costs and the internationalization of the yuan have helped fuel the popularity of panda bonds as well. Issuance of the notes totaled a record 114.4 billion yuan so far in 2026, up about 70% from a year earlier. Pakistan Plans Debut Panda Bond Sale of Up to 1.75 Billion Yuan Pakistan in Talks With Iran for More Qatar LNG Via Hormuz Pakistan in Talks With Saudi Arabia, China After UAE’s Loan Move Pakistan has $93 billion in external debt, the Finance Ministry said last month. Separately, Pakistan’s gross domestic product for the fiscal year ending June is expected to grow by 3.7%, expanding the size of the economy to $452 billion, according to the National Accounts Committee. The ADB expects GDP to rise 3.5% for fiscal year 2026 and 4.5% for 2027, while also warning of significant risks.

NicoElNino/iStock via Getty Images Hardware companies in the technology space are having their moment in the sun, as the market has come to appreciate their moat-worthy and hard-to-replicate business models. Stocks that come to mind include networking equipment maker Cisco ( CSCO ) and semiconductor company Intel ( INTC ), which have seen robust rallies as of late. However, what 's being largely ignored are telcos, which provide critical infrastructure for the AI era. This includes Canadian telco giant TELUS ( TU ). At the current price of $12.57, TU trades near the bottom of its 52-week range with a 9.7% dividend yield, as shown below. TU Stock 1-Yr Trend (Seeking Alpha) In this article, I highlight TU, including recent business results, and discuss why this overlooked telco is undervalued at present, so let 's get started! Why TU? TELUS is the second largest Canadian telco, sitting behind BCE ( BCE ) and ahead of Rogers Communications ( RCI ). It has a national wireless and wireline network and has growth platforms in TELUS Health and TELUS Digital. After years of capital investments around 5G deployment, TU is focusing on lower capital intensity and free cash flow generation as core priorities this year. TU delivered sound results during Q1 2026, with service revenue rising by 1% YoY. More encouraging was free cash flow growth of 19% YoY due to lower capital intensity. During the quarter, TU saw 12K net mobile phone adds, 229K connected device net adds, and 21K internet net additions. Importantly, TU isn 't adding customers at any price but is rather prioritizing accretive additions. This is reflected by the adjusted EBITDA margin improving by 0.8 points YOY to 44.4%, as shown below. Investor Presentation One of the clearest growth drivers for TU was TELUS Health, which saw service revenue and adjusted EBITDA growth of 11% YoY. This marks the 15th consecutive quarter of double-digit adjusted EBITDA growth since the LifeWorks acquisition. Moreover, TELUS Digital i...

hapabapa/iStock Editorial via Getty Images KeyCorp ( KEY ) was rising after Moody's placed all long-term ratings and assessments of the Cleveland-based bank holding company on review for upgrade. Shares were 1.20% higher to $21.00 during pre-market trading on Thursday. The review reflects a higher level of capital, increasing profitability, improved liquidity, and stable asset risk, with a focus on the durability of these improvements as well as Key's enhancements to its risk management processes and controls. The ratings agency said the governance of interest rate risk was a weakness in prior years but has since benefited from improvements of a new risk management framework adopted by the Asset – Liability Committee and oversight provided by the Treasury Risk Oversight Committee. The company's capital level benefits from Bank of Nova Scotia ( BNS ) ( BNS:CA ) investment in late 2024, improving profitability and liquidity profile, and solid asset quality. The ratings and assessments put under upgrade include the baa1 Baseline Credit Assessment, long-term issuer rating of Baa1, and long-term deposits rating of A2 of its lead bank, KeyBank National Association. Moody's said the ratings and assessments could be upgraded if improvements in risk management governance and controls proves durable, profitability remains above 1% return on assets, less stable funds relative to tangible banking assets stays below 22%, and capitalization remains above 11%, and credit performance on the loan portfolio remains strong. That's why many investors are eagerly following every new unsupervised robotaxi added to its operations in Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Here's what investors can expect for the rest of 2026. The good news is that Tesla is aggressively ramping up its fleet. At the time of writing, the company has 39 unsupervised robotaxis in operation. That might not sound like much, but it's much more than the nine at the start of April or even the 26 at the start of May. However, investors shouldn't expect too much until Tesla releases its next version of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) (FSD) software. Continue reading

Netflix Sued By Texas For Allegedly Spying On Children Authored by Mary Prenon via The Epoch Times, Global video streaming service Netflix has been sued by the Texas attorney general’s office for allegedly collecting consumer data from children and adults without their knowledge or consent. In a May 11 statement, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton accused Netflix of spying on consumers by intentionally tracking and logging their viewing habits, preferences, devices, household networks, and other sensitive behavioral data. The litigation claims that although the mega-entertainment platform purported to refrain from collecting or sharing user data, it, in fact, recorded and monetized “billions of behavioral events.” According to Paxton, every consumer interaction became a “data point,” which revealed information about the user, and tracking was then applied to both adults’ and children’s accounts and profiles. “Netflix has built a surveillance program designed to illegally collect and profit from Texans’ personal data without their consent, and my office will do everything in our power to stop it,” Paxton said in the statement. “Netflix is not the ad-free and kid-friendly platform it claims to be. Instead, it has misled consumers while exploiting their private data to make billions.” The company argues that the lawsuit lacks merit and is based on inaccurate and distorted information. “Netflix takes our members’ privacy seriously and complies with privacy and data‑protection laws everywhere we operate,” a Netflix spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email statement. “We look forward to addressing the Texas Attorney General’s allegations in court and further explaining our industry-leading, kid‑friendly parental controls and transparent privacy practices.” Paxton further accused Netflix of disclosing the collected information to commercial data brokers and advertising tech firms to build detailed consumer profiles. “Netflix users’ data is essentially shopped across Bi...
