大嶼山貝澳濕地去年9月發現油污，有環保團體的檢測指，土壤及水質污染濃度超標。環保署表示，已採取行動清理油污，現時濕地狀況良好。 貝澳濕地位處大嶼山南面、貝澳泳灘旁邊。有市民去年9月發現，濕地出現大片油污。環保團體綠色和平先後在9月和12月，兩次對濕地進行抽樣檢測，指土壤及水質污染物濃度，較正常最多高約34倍及40倍，認為油污源頭是濕地六米外一個建築工地，擔憂破壞生態環境。 環保署表示，自去年9月已派員視察，發現濕地範圍的油污面積約0.02公頃，已即時使用吸油墊控制情況，隨後一個多月持續調查，並聯同水務署等部門清理。現時濕地狀況良好，已在附近安裝閉路電視，及安排人員巡查監察。 署方又指油污主要成份「TPH」，亦即「總石油碳氫化合物」，是一般工業或汽車用柴油，能透過自然分解，不會對生態環境造成長遠影響。濕地附近未有發現油污洩漏或污染源，認為今次是個別事件。 綠色和平促請署方公開更多巡查和檢測數據，進一步追查污染源頭，避免同類事件發生。 綠色和平項目經理朱江指出︰「更重要的是要查明元兇，因為油本應是不會天降油污，這些TPH石油化合物會對我們的生態系統，造成短期和長期的影響，長期是不能逆轉進入食物鏈。另外，油污會遮蓋水面和土壤表層，意思是會阻止植物進行光合作用，會阻止水底的生物去呼吸，會窒息甚至死亡。這些影響署方如何應對，很難以一句說我們等它慢慢就會分解。」 他建議當局，把包括貝澳濕地在內的南大嶼多個生態地點，納入《生物多樣性策略及行動計劃》的優先保育項目。

This makes it one of Europe’s latest decacorns alongside Helsing and Mistral AI. Nscale has bet on vertical integration, from energy and data centers to compute and orchestration software. Its new valuation stems from a $2 billion Series C, which it calls “the largest in European history,” though the figure includes a $433 million pre-Series C SAFE backed by Blue Owl, Dell, Nvidia and Nokia in October.
