Together AI, founded in 2022, is already generating about $1B in annualized revenue, a figure that has nearly tripled in less than one year. The company leases Nvidia chip servers and then rents them out to AI developers. It also buys some servers for its data centers. This new round of funding is mostly for that purpose, according to people familiar with the issue. The company has raised a total of $554M across five funding rounds, which included investments from notable tech companies such as Nvidia and Salesforce Ventures ( CRM ). Today, I will look at the U.S. Global Jets ETF ( JETS ), a fund that should reward (or punish) investors who choose to place a bet on the prospects of the U.S. airline business at large, without much concern for separating winners and losers within the peer group. Below, I will explain my seemingly contradictory thesis. On the one hand, I believe that the US airline space is doing just fine as we cruise through the middle stages of the economic cycle, and I don't particularly see sizable risks on the horizon, other than the eventual short-term impact that events like the Middle East crisis could have on the industry. On the other hand, I don't necessarily believe that the tide will lift (or sink) all boats equally, which might make stock-picking in this sector more advisable. Data by YCharts About JETS JETS is an ETF with AUM of about $700 million-plus that has been around since 2015. The fund trades an average volume of 4 million shares per day, according to Yahoo Finance , which amounts to roughly $100 million, making it look more like a trading vehicle rather than an investment vehicle.
