Advertisement Approach 1: Oracle Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) Analysis A Discounted Cash Flow, or DCF, model estimates what a company might be worth by projecting its future cash flows and then discounting those back to today in $ terms. It is essentially asking what tomorrow's cash is worth to you right now. For Oracle, the model used here is a 2 Stage Free Cash Flow to Equity approach. The company last reported free cash flow of about $2.9b over the latest twelve months. Analyst inputs are used for the earlier years, then Simply Wall St extrapolates further out, with projected free cash flow reaching about $21.1b in 2030 and continuing to higher levels in later years based on those assumptions. When all those projected cash flows are discounted back, the DCF model suggests an estimated intrinsic value of about $145.84 per share. Compared to the recent share price of $151.56, that implies the stock is around 3.9% overvalued on this set of assumptions, so effectively ...

Wall Street and Main Street are abuzz with talk of artificial intelligence (AI). Companies are rapidly integrating AI tools, such as Microsoft's Copilot and Salesforce's Einstein AI. Both are used to automate tasks, utilize data to offer insights, and enhance efficiency. AI is a terrific industry to invest in, with dozens of stocks from which to choose, but it isn't the only one to consider. So today, I'll look at a company outside of AI that could provide terrific returns. I'll highlight why Airbnb's (NASDAQ: ABNB) business model, financial position, and valuation make it a desirable investment. Is Airbnb a good stock to own? There are three primary reasons that Airbnb is a great stock to own: Demographic tailwinds An efficient business model Major stock buybacks As seen in the chart, vacation rental users are forecast to increase 25% to more than 1 billion globally during the next five years. Younger demographics tend to favor short-term rentals more than older folks. This tendency favors Airbnb as the younger generations grow and eventually become the majority of vacationers. COVID-19's devastating effect on the vacation industry forced Airbnb to switch to a lean business model, and the company hasn't looked back. Revenue in Q3 increased 10% to $3.7 billion; however, the most impressive metrics are Airbnb's margins. Net income reached $1.4 billion for a 37% margin, while free cash flow clocked in at $1.1 billion for a 29% margin. During the past 12 months, 38% of revenue translated to free cash flow. This means that nearly $0.40 went right into the company's pocket for every $1 of revenue. The terrific free cash flow generation brings several positives. First, it helps Airbnb fund operations and growth initiatives, like advertising, developing a more personalized app, and promoting hosting. Second, Airbnb has a terrific balance sheet. The company reported $18 billion in current assets against $11 billion in current liabilities last quarter. Long-term debt is just...

The tech giant now produces one out of every four iPhones in India — a ratio that continues climbing. Apple Inc., AAPL Data from Bloomberg indicates Apple manufactured approximately 55 million iPhones in India throughout 2025, representing a substantial increase from the previous year’s 36 million units. This 53% surge reflects Apple’s strategic initiative to minimize dependence on Chinese manufacturing and mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities. The entire iPhone 17 series rolled off Indian production lines ahead of its September 2025 debut. CEO Tim Cook disclosed that Indian facilities now supply most iPhones destined for American consumers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s production-linked incentive program has been instrumental in this transition. These government subsidies enable Apple and its manufacturing partners to counterbalance India’s elevated assembly expenses and less developed logistics infrastructure relative to China. These cost challenges are tangible. Electronics manufacturing in India remains pricier than comparable operations in China or Vietnam. Apple, alongside Samsung, is actively lobbying Indian officials for extended subsidies as existing smartphone production incentives approach their March 31 expiration date. India’s domestic market presents compelling growth opportunities. Apple delivered 14 million iPhones to Indian customers last ye...
