BioMarin Pharmaceutical ( BMRN ) said that BMN 401, an enzyme therapy for the rare disease ENPP1 deficiency, only hit one of two primary endpoints in a phase 3 trial. Results showed that children treated with BMN 401 saw statistically significant increases in plasma PPi through week 52 compared to the conventional therapy control cohort. However, the other co-primary endpoint, improvement in Radiographic Global Impression of Change (RGI-C) scores, was not met. There were also no positive trends seen in secondary endpoints, such as Rickets Severity Score (RSS) and growth Z-score (height/body length and weight). BioMarin said it is examining the data to determine next steps. ENPP1 deficiency is a genetic condition that leads to low levels of pyrophosphate. India’s Tata Electronics has signed a deal with the Dutch technology giant ASML (Advanced Semiconductor Materials Lithography) to build India’s newest venture into front-end semiconductor fabrication plant as New Delhi pushes to develop a domestic semiconductor manufacturing base. Front-end manufacturing refers to the building of microscopic circuits onto a blank silicon wafer using specialised lithographic machines. ASML is a pioneer of lithographic technology used in the mass production of microchips across the world. “India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor sector represents many compelling opportunities, and we are committed to establishing long-term partnerships in the region,” ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet said. Semiconductor chips power modern technology and are critical for everything from smartphones and cars to artificial intelligence systems and defence technology. The agreement was announced during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to the Netherlands, which ended on Sunday. So what do we know about the deal, and what does it mean for India’s artificial intelligence ambitions? What are the details of the deal? Under the agreement, ASML will supply advanced lithography technology to Tata Electronics, which is a subsidiary of the multinational Tata conglomerate, for the manufacture of 300mm wafers. Tata Electronics plans to invest $11bn to build India’s first semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera in Modi’s home state of Gujarat. “ASML will enable the establishment and ramp-up of Tata Electronics’ Dholera Fab with its holistic suite of lithography tools and solutions,” the companies said in a joint statement. janiecbros/iStock via Getty Images Semiconductor stocks have extended their powerful rally in recent weeks, with investors continuing to pour capital into chip-focused exchange traded funds as enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence, data center expansion, and high-performance computing remains elevated across Wall Street. The VanEck Semiconductor ETF ( SMH ) has emerged as one of the strongest performers in the sector, surging 41.2% since the beginning of April and climbing 51.7% year-to-date in 2026. The ETF, which holds 26 semiconductor-related companies, now manages approximately $63.04B in assets after attracting roughly $2.47B in net investor inflows over the same period. Technical momentum has also strengthened considerably as well. Shares of SMH are currently trading well above their 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, underscoring the strength of the ongoing uptrend. However, the fund has also remained in overbought territory for much of the past three weeks, signaling that the rapid pace of gains may be becoming increasingly stretched in the near term. Despite the sharp advance in semiconductor shares, SMH is not alone. Several technology and AI-linked exchange-traded funds have also experienced substantial inflows and outsized gains as investors continue rotating into growth-oriented sectors. I downgraded the stock to a hold last July after it had, to my eyes, run too far, too fast, mainly driven by crypto trading volumes, which began to show signs of potential slowdown. That call worked, with the stock underperforming since then, down 16.4%, while the S&P 500 ( SP500 ) was up around 19.5%. The Techie Robinhood is now trading at $77 versus the October 2025 all-time high of $153.86, all while the broader market has continued to push higher. I think that after this pullback, the crypto negatives are well priced in, while the upside from everywhere else in the business is not. I see a favorable risk-reward at these levels, and so I'm upgrading the stock to a Buy. Q1 '26 absorbed the crypto damage The market realized that Robinhood carries the risk of being a "crypto proxy," which is great when crypto is doing well but a disaster otherwise. The Block I've used crypto trading volumes to better forecast how performance could be reflected on the likes of Robinhood, and as shown above, the chart clearly shows the trend against Robinhood's one-year chart below. YCharts The infamous number from the Q1 '26 print was crypto revenue collapsing 47% year over year to $134 million, with Robinhood App crypto notional volumes down 48% year over year to $24 billion. EPS of $0.38 also missed the consensus of $0.41. The stock sold off roughly 13% on the print. But the way I see it, I think that is the wrong number to get stuck on today, because the crypto jitters have been priced in over two quarters now, Q4 '25 and Q1 '26. The right one is total net revenue at $1.07 billion , up 15% year over year, with adjusted EBITDA margin holding at 50%. In a confidential Form 10 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, MSGS has made progress towards a proposed spin-off of the NY Rangers from its NY Knicks business, allowing investors to “more clearly evaluate each company’s assets and growth prospects” while at the same time affording both teams with enhanced strategic and financial flexibility. The parent company expects the deal to be structured as a tax-free spin-off with holders of Class A and Class B common stock a pro-rata distribution of 100% of the common stock in the newly created company.
