Bees use as much energy collecting pollen through “floral buzzing” as they do taking off in flight, a study shows. Scientists have found the vibrations bumblebees use to shake pollen loose from flowers are among the most exhausting behaviours they perform, forcing bees to “carefully choose” which flowers are worth visiting. The study, released by the Royal Society, is the first to directly measure the energy cost of floral sonication, or “buzz pollination” – where bees vibrate flowers to extract pollen. Natacha Rossi, a University of Sussex research fellow who led the study, said: “As nectar availability shifts due to climate change or habitat loss, the energetic demands of pollination could influence bee behaviour and, ultimately, where bees forage and which plants they pollinate. “These results help us to better understand plant-pollinator relationships and just how hard at work a buzzing bee really is.” In 2024, the number of bumblebees in the UK declined by almost a quarter compared with the 2010-2023 average, according to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Yes, it’s high risk, but also high reward. Silver mining stocks with production growth or high FCF (free cash flow) are perhaps the best investment opportunity for the next 2-3 years. This includes producers, near-term producers, or developers who will begin construction within three years. Let me give you an overview of why that is true, and then I'll provide a list of 10 stocks that fit these categories. The silver price has dramatically increased in value over the past several months. Prior to 2025, silver was stuck below $30, and the silver miners languished. From 2013 until August 2025, silver was stuck in a channel. Then it broke out in August 2025 and ripped from $35 to $120 in 6 months! Was $120 the top? Is this bull market in silver over? Not likely. This story is not about silver. It's about gold. Gold is rising for a variety of reasons, and those reasons are only getting better. What reasons? Primarily, the debt bubble in the US, but also geopolitical issues, whereby the Global South is trying to move away from the US dollar and US Treasury bonds. The odds are very good that gold will trend higher over the next few years. And if that is the outcome, then silver will follow. At least, that is my assumption, and history supports that outcome. So, this is a simple thesis: gold is going higher because of the debt bubble and geopolitical uncertainty. Silver will follow gold higher. You would think that silver miners would outperform silver with silver prices rising above $70. Guess what? They haven’t.
