The stock market looked set to snap a three-day losing streak on Wednesday, with tech helping drive the rebound. Chip makers Intel and Micron were the S&P 500's two best performers ahead of the opening bell.

( PRDSY ) has owned a strong brand portfolio in the past few years; Miu Miu has more than tripled in sales in the past few years, and Prada has gained sales despite a very weak luxury sector backdrop. The Versace acquisition brings a much weaker brand to Prada’s portfolio, but the company’s turnaround strategy for the brand could work out in my opinion. Turnaround progress will more than likely not be immediate, though. Sector worries have pressured Prada’s stock price, making the stock’s valuation low. I believe that the valuation presents material upside if Versace does turn around; investors should watch the turnaround closely in the next couple of years. For now, Prada is worth keeping on a watchlist. Seeking Alpha Prada Has Performed Well Against Declining Sector Sales The sector setting hasn’t been easy on any luxury fashion company, as I have written in a prior article on the sector’s leader LVMH ( LVMHF ). Consumer preferences are changing from luxury product to luxury experiences, and consumer confidence has dampened sales in China among other markets. The weak trend started in 2023 and has persisted for much longer than initially expected – LVMH doesn’t see a clear improvement in industry conditions for at least 2026, and other companies’ revenues echo similar weakness. Prada has been exempt from sector weakness; industry conditions haven’t been weak enough to offset the brand portfolio’s momentum. The company reported very strong 8% organic revenue growth in 2025 to a total of €5.72 billion, comparing to an estimated -4% sales decline across 13 luxury fashion companies that I track. Fair momentum has continued onto 2026 as well; Prada reported 3% organic revenue growth in the first quarter. Ackman: Swapping Alphabet for another Magnificent Seven stock According to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ackman's fund sold 95% of its stake in both Alphabet Class A and Class C shares. PSCM first purchased Alphabet in 2023, and the stock has performed incredibly well. On the social media platform X, Ackman wrote that the sale of Alphabet was not due to bearish sentiment on the company. "We are very bullish long term on Alphabet. But at current valuations and in light of our finite capital base, we used $GOOG as a source of funds for $MSFT," he wrote. Given the central role of inflammation in the degenerative processes of both nonexudative and exudative AMD, researchers based in Taiwan have been led to believe it is plausible that aspirin and other NSAIDs, through their anti-inflammatory properties, may reduce the risk of both AMD subtypes. Their recent study identified a decreased risk of AMD among NSAID users compared to non-users. This retrospective study, which was published in Ophthalmology, included patients who received prescriptions for NSAIDs and individuals who never received prescriptions for NSAIDs in order to assess the effects of NSAID prescriptions on future AMD risk. The cohort consisted of 634,794 patients who were prescribed NSAIDs (mean age 59.93) and 634,794 patients who weren’t prescribed NSAIDs (mean age 59.68). Among NSAID users, decreased risk for AMD development was seen at the six-month (hazard ratio; HR: 0.31), one-year (HR: 0.36), three-year (HR: 0.42) and five-year (HR: 0.48) time points after the index date for NSAID use compared to non-NSAID users. Thus, frequently enough, immediately before pushing the button to finalize a transaction, on the basis of the information in front of you, you don't know whether you're swapping tokens as desired, or whether you're handing control of your wallet to an attacker. This is the source of many problems. Ethereum's brand new open standard for this process, called Clear Signing, replaces the confusing jumbles of letters and numbers with plain-language descriptions of what a transaction will do. If the standard is widely adopted, it would represent a major step forward in both the security and the user experience of the most common crypto applications. To that end, key software and hardware wallet providers have already said that they're going to adopt the standard; Ledger, Trezor, MetaMask, and others are among the earliest adopters.
