Speaking in Taipei following a visit to China, Su said she met with AMD’s largest customers in China and worldwide before traveling to Taiwan to help ensure supply capacity could support a major increase in central processing unit production. “The overall CPU market has had significantly higher demand than any of us predicted a year ago,” Su said. “I would say the CPU market is tight.” She added that AMD is rapidly increasing capacity and expects supply to rise each quarter this year, with substantially more capacity planned for 2027 and beyond. Growth was being driven by AI inferencing and agentic AI, Su said. Taiwan remains central to the global AI supply chain for companies such as NVIDIA and Apple, with its position reinforced by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company ( TSM ), the world’s largest contract chipmaker and a key AMD supplier. AMD said Thursday it plans to invest more than $10B in Taiwan’s AI sector to strengthen strategic partnerships and expand capacity for building and assembling advanced AI chips. Su said the investment would focus on advanced packaging, substrates, and manufacturing for rack-scale systems. Manchester City have confirmed that manager Pep Guardiola will leave the club after Sunday's final match of the season. Guardiola has led City to 15 major trophies, including six Premier League titles in 10 top-flight seasons in charge. The 55-year-old's final game will be against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium. BBC Sport reported on Monday that City were preparing for Guardiola's departure a year before the end of his contract. "Don't ask me the reasons I'm leaving," said Guardiola. "There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it's my time. "Nothing is eternal, if it was, I would be here. Eternal will be the feeling, the people, the memories, the love I have for my Manchester City." Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, who worked under Guardiola at City, is the frontrunner to replace the 55-year-old. Guardiola has led City to 17 major trophies - and 20 in all - including six Premier League titles, the Champions League, three FA Cups and five EFL Cups during his 10 years at City.

The social commerce market in the country experienced robust growth during 2022-2025, achieving a CAGR of 16.9%. This upward trajectory is expected to continue, with the market forecast to grow at a CAGR of 11.7% during 2026-2031. By the end of 2031, the social commerce sector is projected to expand from its 2025 value of USD 48.99 billion to approximately USD 96.95 billion. Over the next 2-4 years, competitive intensity should rise. TikTok Shop is likely to deepen creator-led selling, while Meta will defend its position through messaging, automation, and cross-app campaign tools. But scale will still depend on fulfillment, seller onboarding, and trust. That means social-commerce specialists may win discovery, while larger platforms and retailers retain an advantage in logistics and repeat purchase. Regulatory scrutiny of platform behavior in Mexico will also keep competitive conduct under closer watch. Current State of the Market In Mexico, competition is moving from basic social selling to more structured transaction models. TikTok Shop launched in Mexico in February 2025, and TikTok later positioned Mexico as a liv...

Divorces can disrupt many parts of people's lives, including their finances. This is particularly true for retirement planning. Although you'll most likely need to revamp your retirement strategy after a divorce, one silver lining is that you could still be eligible for a higher Social Security benefit. Your career earnings largely determine your Social Security benefit, but Social Security offers spousal benefits that allow you to claim benefits based on your partner's work record. And you don't need to be married right now, either. Divorcees are also eligible for spousal benefits. Here's what you should know about them in 2026. Who is eligible to receive divorced spousal benefits? To claim spousal benefits as a divorcee, you must have been married to your ex-spouse for at least 10 consecutive years before divorcing. Anything short of 10 automatically disqualifies you. If you were married to someone, divorced, and then remarried them within a calendar year, Social Security may combine the time. Your ex-spouse's relationship status doesn't matter, but if you're planning to claim spousal benefits as a divorcee, you must currently be unmarried. If you remarry while collecting the benefits, you'll lose the right to the benefits based on your ex-spouse's work record and must claim based on your new spouse's work record or your own. And don't worry if you're not in contact with your ex-spouse; you don't need their permission to claim benefits, and they won't be alerted. However, if they're not currently claiming benefits, you'll need to wait until you've been divorced for two years before being eligible to claim. They must also be at least 62 years old (the earliest you can claim). How much can you receive from divorced spousal benefits? By claiming Social Security spousal benefits, you're eligible to receive up to 50% of their primary insurance amount (PIA), which is their monthly benefit if they claim at their full retirement age. For example, if your spouse's PIA is $...

What Happened? A number of stocks jumped in the afternoon session after traders positioned ahead of Nvidia's fiscal Q1 earnings. Nvidia accounted for a significant percentage of the S&P 500's gains heading into the announcement, making the print the binary catalyst for the entire AI-infrastructure complex — networking ASICs, connectivity silicon, memory, and packaging all move together on the read-through. Falling oil prices also supported the bullish sentiment. Semis carry arguably the longest-dated cash flows in the equity market because most of their value sits in 2027–2030 AI capex, not in the current quarter. When Brent crude drops 5.21% (like it did during the session), expected inflation falls, the Fed gets more room to cut, and the discount rate applied to those distant cash flows compresses. A small rate move produces an outsized stock move, which is why a 5% oil decline can power 8%+ chip rallies on the same day. The stock market overreacts to news, and big price drops can present good opportunities to buy high-quality stocks. Among others, the following stocks were impacted: Zooming In On Vishay Intertechnology (VSH) Vishay Intertechnology’s shares are very volatile and have had 23 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business. The previous big move we wrote about was 14 days ago when the stock gained 4.5% on the news that strong results from Advanced Micro Devices signaled robust and sustained demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. AMD reported a 38% year-on-year revenue increase, with its data center business surging 57% to $5.8 billion. This blowout report is seen by investors as confirmation that heavy spending on AI by major tech companies is creating a rising tide for the entire industry.
