During Trump's first, non-consecutive term, the mature-stock-driven Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) , benchmark S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) , and tech-stock-inspired Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) rallied 57%, 70%, and 142%, respectively. While these major indexes have risen under most presidents since the late 1890s, the annualized returns under Trump are among the best. President Trump delivering remarks. Less than two weeks later, he planted two bombs outside his flat. What unfolded in the intervening days offers a stark glimpse into a growing pattern: Ukrainians drawn in online by Russian intelligence services, promised money or coerced into carrying out sabotage attacks against their own country. Ton Photograph/iStock via Getty Images The Amplify CWP International Enhanced Dividend Income ETF ( IDVO ) was one of my strongest recommendations last year, and it is good to see the ETF deliver on all fronts since then. IDVO shows a total return of ~30% at a time when the S&P 500 has delivered only ~10%. More importantly, IDVO has also lived up to its potential through lower volatility, benefiting from a decent value and dividend-focused diversification (not high-growth bets alone) and international exposure. The income promise has also been delivered alongside growth - at over 5% yields (TTM basis at current prices), IDVO does use call writing as an add-on rather than a core strategy to augment a more realistic income without hurting growth or NAV stability. This analysis walks through critical and material changes in the IDVO portfolio (from July last year), with greater exposure to defensives, real assets, commodity-linked geographies, and a reduction in long-duration tech and financials. The portfolio and option strategy together look poised for the forward market, which is likely to be volatile and range-bound. IDVO retains a Strong Buy rating. Portfolio Advantage I downloaded the latest full holdings from the IDVO website and found significant changes to the portfolio compared to where IDVO was in July last year (at the time of my earlier thesis). The active management is clearly at play here. Geographical Allocation - IDVO (IDVO Website, July Thesis) Top 10 Holdings - IDVO (IDVO Website, July Thesis) Sector Allocation - IDVO (IDVO Website, July Thesis) Interestingly, IDVO has delivered a staggering ~30% total returns with a low starting point in tech (when markets were rallying around AI themes) and has been meaningfully downsized further (from ~12.75% earlier to ~8% now). Real assets exposure has stepped up - we see a far higher materials exposure now. Energy exposure has also gone up, although not as visibly as materials. The shift to real assets shows up...
