I may stumble a little in the autumn. I may get a little caustic with a TV camera crew or sarcastically applaud a referee. But I will pursue you. I will hunt you down. I will, in all likelihood, narrowly pip you to the line in an agonising title chase.” Welcome to Pep in April, the franchise. In which a furiously intense, bald, skinny man becomes a serial springtime league title avenger. At the finish of what was by the end a celebratory, one-hand-on-the-wheel 3-0 win at Stamford Bridg e, Manchester City’s record in April in the past four years reads: played 23, won 19, drawn four across all competitions. William Barton/iStock Editorial via Getty Images GSK ( GSK ) is preparing a high-stakes push into oncology, lining up five late-stage trials at once for a promising cancer drug as new CEO Luke Miels seeks to reshape the company’s historically cautious approach, Bloomberg News reported Sunday. The British drugmaker, long criticized for a weak pipeline, is attempting to accelerate development of mocertatug rezetecan, or Mo-Rez, with three trials in ovarian cancer and two in endometrial cancer. The strategy marks a sharper, more aggressive shift compared with past leadership, which investors often viewed as overly conservative. Miels, who took the helm after nearly a decade under Emma Walmsley, has already helped lift sentiment around the stock, which has climbed roughly 50% since his appointment was announced last September. Still, he has acknowledged the need for bolder decision-making, saying earlier this year that GSK must “have more scientific courage.” The simultaneous trials, each potentially costing tens of millions of dollars, mirror tactics used by rivals like AstraZeneca, which has surged ahead in oncology since GSK stepped back from cancer research in 2015. GSK re-entered the field through acquisitions and has since focused on gynecologic and blood cancers. The approach carries risk. Large-scale late-stage trials can backfire, as seen with Sanofi, where disappointing results triggered a sharp stock decline and leadership changes. But some analysts say the shift could be exactly what investors want. Early results for Mo-Rez are encouraging. Data presented at a recent oncology conference showed response rates of 62% in ovarian cancer patients resistant to certain chemotherapy and 67% in endometrial cancer patients, meaning tumors shrank or disappeared in those cases. Mo-Rez, an antibody-drug conjugate designed to deliver cancer-killing agents directly to tumors, was licensed from China’s Hansoh Pharma in 2023. GSK is now leading its global development and vie...

Sean Gallup/Getty Images News Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán acknowledged defeat in Sunday’s election, ending a 16-year stretch in power after early results showed a decisive win for challenger Péter Magyar. Speaking to supporters, Orbán said he had congratulated Magyar and pledged to continue serving the country from the opposition. U.S. President Donald Trump had endorsed Orbán and sent Vice President JD Vance to Budapest to campaign alongside him last week. With roughly two-thirds of votes counted, Magyar and his Tisza Party led by nearly 15 percentage points. The party captured districts long held by Orbán’s Fidesz, while turnout approached 80%, among the highest since Hungary’s post-communist transition. Magyar, a former Fidesz insider who broke away in 2024, capitalized on voter frustration over a weak economy, inflation and corruption allegations. His campaign reached hundreds of towns, including traditional Fidesz strongholds, drawing large crowds with an anti-corruption message and promises to restore ties with the European Union. Orbán, who maintained close relationships with figures like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin , had framed the election around national security, arguing he could keep Hungary out of the war in Ukraine. He also pledged to use international alliances to protect the country’s interests. Hungary’s economic struggles and tensions with the EU, including billions in withheld funds over rule-of-law concerns, weighed heavily on the campaign. Magyar warned that continued Orbán leadership risked further isolation, telling supporters before the vote that the country faced a choice over its future direction. Massachusetts Dems Advance Bill To Limit How Far You Can Drive In Your Own Car Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news, Massachusetts lawmakers are barreling ahead with a bill that would force the state to slash the total miles residents drive, all under the banner of cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The proposal, Senate Bill S.2246, doesn’t slap a hard cap on your daily commute… yet – but it orders the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to set binding goals for reducing statewide vehicle miles traveled (VMT). It also creates a new government council tasked with pushing people onto public transit whether they like it or not. WOW 🚨 Massachusetts Democrats preparing to limit how much you can drive your car Instead of driving your car, a new council will be established to make sure residents use more public transportation “The bill proposed in Massachusetts would limit how far you can drive in your… pic.twitter.com/D8goGLwqzo — Wall Street Apes (@WallStreetApes) April 12, 2026 A local Boston report highlights the move: “The bill proposed in Massachusetts would limit how far you can drive in your own car. So lawmakers say it would help reduce the state’s greenhouse gas emissions. Now, while no specific mileage limit was listed, the bill would require MassDOT to set goals to reduce the number of statewide driving miles. It would also establish a new council to find ways to make public transportation more accessible for residents. Now, critics say A cap on personal vehicle miles would directly impact those in rural parts of the state.” The committee gave it a favorable 4-1 vote and shipped it to the Senate Ways and Means Committee, keeping the radical plan alive on Beacon Hill. This isn’t some fringe idea cooked up in isolation. It’s part of a broader push to ration mobility under the twin excuses of “climate” and “equity.” Similar thinking powers the 15-minute city concept – the urban planning fad sold as “convenience” but designed to make driving ...
