The company intends to utilize the investment, together with its existing resources, to strengthen its infrastructure and capabilities and reinforce its competitive position in key growth areas, including end-to-end AI transformation services. “Through this strategic collaboration, we will actively explore a wide range of growth opportunities, including M&A, by leveraging KKR’s expertise accumulated in global capital markets,” Jun Hee Lee, President and CEO of Samsung SDS, said. Victory Giant Technology Huizhou Co. is likely to price its Hong Kong listing at the top of the marketed range, according to people familiar with the matter, in a sign of strong demand for the city’s biggest share sale in seven months. The Chinese maker of printed circuit board products — the intricate electronic backbone of artificial-intelligence servers — is slated to price shares at the maximum price of HK$209.88 each, the people said, asking not to be identified to discuss a private matter. Victory Giant may also exercise an option to increase the deal size to as much as $2.6 billion, the people said. Deliberations on the pricing of the deal are ongoing, the people added. Victory Giant didn’t respond to a request for comment. The Guangzhou-based company stopped taking orders from institutional investors a day earlier than expected, people familiar with the matter have said . Victory Giant, whose shares are also listed in Shenzhen, is set to make its Hong Kong debut next Tuesday. The share sale, Hong Kong’s biggest since Zijin Gold International Co.’s $3.7 billion offering in September, has kicked off what Hong Kong bankers hope to be a procession of heavyweight deals this year. Hong Kong listing proceeds are likely to top $40 billion in 2026, surpassing last year’s proceeds despite fresh snags like the intensifying scrutiny into initial public offerings, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Deals also need to navigate the rapidly developments with the war in Iran. JPMorgan Chase & Co., China Securities International and GF Securities Co. are leading Victory Giant’s offering.

bpawesome/iStock via Getty Images D-Wave Quantum Inc. ( QBTS ) has been thrashed with the quantum sell-off as some sanity returned to the market. Investors were warned that the stock was disconnected from the quantum computing reality, and now large losses still don't yield an attractive value. My investment thesis wants to be less Bearish on the stock trading back to the baseline from last Summer, but D-Wave Quantum still has a very rich valuation multiple. Source: Finviz Tough Position D-Wave Quantum hit a highs of over $46 back in October. The problem is that the quantum computing company only reported Q4'25 revenues of a meager $2.8 million. The stock hit a market cap of $15 billion at the peak, and clearly D-Wave Quantum has a lot of unanswered questions about the future. Quantum computing can be successful without this company thriving, or the whole sector may struggle to ever grab a foothold in the computing market. D-Wave Quantum even reported Q4 bookings of $13.4 million were down $4.9 million from the prior year. The company needs to report soaring bookings to have made the stock work at the prior highs. The good news is that D-Wave Quantum announced some sizable bookings to start 2026. On the Q4'25 earnings call , CFO John Markovich outlined solid bookings to start 2026 as follows: Subsequent to the end of fiscal 2025, D-Wave has closed over $32.8 million in additional bookings that includes a $20 million system sale to Florida Atlantic University and a $10 million 2-year enterprise license deal with a Fortune 100 company. The major concern here is the majority of the bookings are $20 million from Florida Atlantic University. This deal appears highly incentivized by Florida and the local government, along with the CEO living in Boca Raton and moving the corporate HQs to the area. The company is pursuing multiple quantum computing paths, with an annealing system already on the market focused on optimization and a gate model not production-ready until 5+ ye...

Pope Leo XIV responds to questions regarding US President Donald Trump's recent statements during the flight to Algeria on April 13, 2026 in Algiers, Algeria. Matteo Pernaselci | Vatican Pool | Getty Images U.S. President Donald Trump took aim at Pope Leo XIV again, suggesting that he was unaware of Iran's repressive actions against its own people and building on his criticism of the Catholic pontiff. "Will someone please tell Pope Leo that Iran has killed at least 42,000 innocent, completely unarmed, protesters in the last two months, and that for Iran to have a Nuclear Bomb is absolutely unacceptable," Trump said in a Truth Social post just before midnight Tuesday stateside. This comes after Trump lashed out against the pontiff on Sunday, saying that he did not want a pope who was critical of the U.S. president. Pope Leo has called for a ceasefire and urged dialogue to resolve the Iran conflict, while Trump has lambasted him for criticizing U.S. military actions against Iran and Venezuela. "I have no fear of the Trump administration," Leo told reporters on Monday, "I will continue to speak out loudly against war, looking to promote peace, promoting dialogue and multilateral relationships among the states to look for just solutions to problems." Trump on Sunday posted an AI-generated image of himself appearing like Jesus Christ on Truth Social that drew swift condemnation from religious leaders and Democratic lawmakers, and prompted a sharp response from the Vatican, which called the imagery "deeply disrespectful." "I don't know if the President thought he was being funny or if he is under the influence of some substance or what possible explanation he could have for this OUTRAGEOUS blasphemy," wrote Megan Basham, a conservative Christian commentator, in a post about the image on X . Trump later deleted the image , claiming he was meant to depict him as a doctor. "I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor, and had to do with Red Cross, as a Red Cross worke...

MOZCO Mateusz Szymanski/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Uber ( UBER ) has committed over $10B to autonomous vehicles, marking a major shift from its traditional asset-light ride-hailing model as it seeks to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving robotaxi market, the Financial Times reported. Uber has already partnered with key players across the autonomous ecosystem, including Baidu ( BIDU ) , Rivian ( RIVN ) , and Lucid ( LCID ) , and plans to roll out robotaxi services in at least 28 cities by 2028. The $10B investments cover $2.5B in equity stakes and over $7.5B on robotaxi fleets over the next few years, according to the report that cites analyst estimates and people familiar with Uber’s ( UBER ) deals. The investment reflects growing urgency across the ride-hailing industry as competitors such as Waymo ( WAYMO ) and Tesla ( TSLA ) push forward with driverless services.
