efks/iStock via Getty Images Disney ( DIS ) has begun to sell ad time for Super Bowl LXI at $8M for a 30-second spot, a discount from the $10M the entertainment giant was hoping to get. “We have seen strong early demand from emerging categories driving double-digit units at $9 million each in addition to spending across Disney’s football portfolio,” Disney said in a statement. “Advertisers are leaning in early, recognizing the unmatched scale and cultural impact of the game with investment coming from seven major categories, led by A.I., finance, and pharma.” However, according to Variety, the “intense pushback” from advertisers illustrates the limit Madison Avenue is willing to pay for sporting events. Disney ( DIS ) had initially set a floor at $9M for a 30-second ad, with the majority of those ads going to independents and those who have not advertised on the Super Bowl before. At Super Bowl LX, advertisers paid an average of $8M, with premium spots going for up to $10M. Disney ( DIS ) had banked on the conveniently timed Super Bowl LXI—on Valentine’s Day and the Sunday before a federal holiday—to drive demand for ad time given the likelihood for a larger audience. Disney ( DIS ) will also air the championship game on both ABC and ESPN, with ESPN2 airing an alterna-cast hosted by Peyton and Eli Manning. Last year’s Super Bowl LX averaged 125.6M viewers across NBC ( CMCSA ) networks, with the halftime show drawing in an additional 3M viewers, making the 2026 game the second most-watched Super Bowl in history (with Super Bowl LIX holding the number one spot). Getty Images Constellium SE ( CSTM ) has appeared a few times now in my screener as one of the growth companies worth taking a look at. And after taking a look into the company, I believe I should be bullish on it and will be making a position. At first I thought that this was just a bet on aluminum prices ( LMAHDS03:COM ), but in reality the company is working with aerospace, packaging, automotive, transportation, defense, and industrial segments. For me, it is important that products like that have more technical value, client specifications, certifications, and often less dependence only on LME aluminum prices. I am basing my thesis on their recent improvements on better segment mix, stronger balance sheet , clearer free cash flow potential, and shareholder value creation. But keep in mind that even if it is a quality company, it is still very cyclical. The Real Quality In my opinion, Constellium quality can be seen when we analyze each of its segments separately. In Q1 2026, the company made $2.461 billion in revenue, but it is more important to understand where EBITDA was created. Aerospace and Transportation had $609 million in revenue, 60 thousand tonnes of shipments, and $102 million segment adjusted EBITDA, which would be $1,697 EBITDA per ton. And this is clearly a higher quality segment because it made 25% of the revenue, but around 37% of operating segment EBITDA before corporate costs. In my opinion, this segment is not just giving good revenue, but it also gives a quality profit source. When a segment is creating a bigger part of EBITDA than the revenue part, this means to me that the margin structure is good and healthy, which again gives quality. Packaging and Automotive Rolled Products is the biggest profit engine that they have. This segment had $1.477 billion in revenue, 261k tons of shipments, and $151 million in segment adjusted EBITDA. More importantly, EBITDA per ton jumped from $223 to $578, so here we see a real operating leverage, even thou...

Mario Tama CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) demonstrated the growing need for cybersecurity in the AI era when it released its first quarter fiscal 2027 financial results post-market on Wednesday. Although the firm surpassed market expectations across the board, reported record net new annual recurring revenue, and increased its outlook, shares were down about 8% during early post-market trading. However, the stock has surged 60% over the past month alone. For the quarter ended April 30, the cybersecurity stalwart reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.10 versus the consensus estimate of $1.07. It reported a GAAP EPS of $0.11 compared to the estimate of ($0.02). Annual recurring revenue increased 24% to $5.51B, which was just above the $5.5B estimate. And net new ARR increased 32% year over year to $255.8M compared to the $249M estimate. Revenue for the first quarter increased 26% year over year to $1.39B, which was more than the $1.36B estimate. For the quarter in progress, CrowdStrike expects revenue ranging from $1.43B to $1.44B, with a midpoint above the $1.43B consensus. Adjusted EPS guidance ranges from $1.16 to $1.17, which is also more than the $1.15 estimate. For the entirety of fiscal 2027, CrowdStrike increased its adjusted EPS forecast to range from $4.88 to $4.96 compared to a prior outlook of $4.78 to $4.90. The estimate calls for $4.86. It also increased its revenue outlook to be $5.91B to $5.96B, with a midpoint well above the $5.91B consensus. The company projects adjusted operating income ranging from $1.45B to $1.48B compared to the $1.45B estimate. "CrowdStrike is AI security infrastructure, critical to successful AI adoption," said founder and CEO George Kurtz. "Our record Q1 net new ARR, QuiltWorks coalition, and AIDR innovation are indicators of our own AI inflection point. We're seeing platform adoption from existing customers, new logo lands, and increased partner engagement, each giving me the conviction to significantly raise our FY27 net new ARR ...

Investors also digested a fresh round of economic data. Daniel Jones , investing group leader of Crude Value Insights, said he believes the U.S. economy may finally be pricing in the possibility of a recession, regardless of how tensions with Iran unfold. “I think enough damage has been done that an economic downturn is inevitable,” Jones said in his analysis of Wednesday’s market performance. “That will only be hastened if the war against Iran continues. But even if we see an end to the hostilities, I think enough damage has been done.” Jones pointed to what he called a “peculiar” trading day on Wednesday, when markets finished markedly lower despite positive employment data. The S&P 500 fell 0.7%, the Dow dropped 1.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.9%—even as ADP reported the U.S. economy added 122K jobs in May, exceeding analyst expectations. The selloff appeared driven by escalating Middle East tensions, with WTI crude ( CL1:COM ) prices rising 2.5% as hostilities with Iran intensified. Jones noted that the Federal Reserve’s Beige Book indicated middle-income Americans are struggling more, echoing his own assessment that “economic conditions are deteriorating.” More on the Markets May ADP Employment Report: Strongest Job Gains In Over A Year AI And Inflation Are Now Feeding Each Other Fed Chair Warsh Steps In As Inflation Reignites And The Treasury Market Hints At A Rate Hike Wall Street ends lower as oil prices, yields perk up This asset location strategy could save investors over $100K - SA analyst
