Sandisk ( SNDK ) shares rose nearly 3% in premarket trading on Wednesday after Barclays upgraded the storage company to Overweight and raised its price target to $2,300 per share. “We see Memory/Storage as the most attractive vertical below accelerators,” Barclays analyst Tom O'Malley wrote in a note to clients. “We note continued upside to pricing with supply/demand imbalance persisting through CY27 & discuss below how the changes in contracts transform the nature of the next several years in the industry.” Delving deeper, O'Malley said Sandisk has been the “most aggressive and structurally innovative” among its peers in how it has handled contracts. Discussed on the company's recent earnings call, its new business models, also known as NBMs, have provided Sandisk with “demand certainty” and its customers with the assurance they will receive the supply. The contracts are varied in length, but some extend out to 2031 and have quarterly commitments that increase throughout the life of the deal. The three contracts that were signed in the most recent quarter provide a minimum of around $42B in revenue, O'Malley explained, adding that there are financial guarantees that exceed $11B. "While the company outperformed every metric in 3Q, the company only passed through a portion of upside to the FY27 ARR outlook despite the added benefit of the inorganic low single-digit millions in ARR from Symmetry due to the departure of 2 sales leaders (where investors have scar tissue from Dali Rajic's departure)," said Needham analysts Mike Cikos and Matthew Calitri in a Wednesday investor note. "Furthermore, the initial FY27 ARR & revenue outlook for 16%-17% year-over-year growth missed the consensus estimates, while higher CapEx is dragging down free cash flow margins." Still, Needham retained its Buy rating and $180 price target as Zscaler has maintained net recurring revenue of around 115% and is actively pursuing new logo growth. Images released by Pyongyang showed a launcher design and loading system similar to the U.S. Himars, which is valued for its ability to fire quickly and relocate before being targeted. North Korea also tested a separate launcher for tactical cruise missiles that reportedly use AI-assisted targeting. According to state media, the missiles are intended for deployment near the South Korean border and are capable of “ultraprecision” strikes within a range of about 60 miles (96.56 kilometers). Kim said the new systems reflect the changing nature of modern warfare and are intended to create “extreme uneasiness and fear” among adversaries. The weapons tests are part of Kim’s broader push to upgrade North Korea’s conventional military forces alongside its expanding nuclear arsenal.
