消防試行物聯網火警偵測系統成效理想 接納作大廈傳統消防設備替代方案 To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 【有線新聞】消防處早前在10幢舊樓試行物聯網火警偵測系統,成效理想,已正式接納系統作為大廈傳統消防設備的替代方案。

Guido Mieth/DigitalVision via Getty Images Overview The Flaherty & Crumrine Dynamic Preferred and Income Fund ( DFP ) provides investors with a way to obtain a blended portfolio of preferred and other income-producing securities. This makes the fund an enticing choice for income investors seeking capital preservation and a sustainable stream of income. When I previously covered the fund, I issued a buy rating due to the attractive valuation at the time. Since then, the fund has released an updated annual report, and the macroeconomic environment has shifted, so I wanted to revisit the fund's value proposition for the remainder of the year. When I previously covered DFP, the fund traded at a discount to NAV of 5.79%. Following the slight pullback in share price, the fund now trades at a slightly larger discount to NAV of 9.02%. Referring to the red line on the graph below, we can see that the fund still remains on the more attractive end of its historical price-to-NAV range. For instance, DFP has traded at an average discount to NAV of 5.47% over the last five years. Therefore, I would consider this an attractive time to accumulate shares, supported by the fact that DFP's NAV continues to grow over time. CEFData.com DFP now offers investors a starting dividend yield of 7.8% while issuing those payouts on a monthly basis. The fund's latest reporting indicates that payouts are well supported by earnings, and this means DFP is still a great option for low-risk investors seeking a reliable source of income. However, DFP only makes sense for a specific type of investor. The underlying portfolio strategy isn't structurally capable of participating in the strong market rally of equities. The reality is that the success of the fund may be linked to the future of interest rates. Therefore, investors need to consider the tradeoffs of holding DFP for a longer holding period. Fund Strategy According to the latest fund overview , DFP now has total managed assets of $736.1M that a...

Micron Technology (MU +3.50%) has become one of the hottest names in the tech sector. While advanced graphics processing units (GPUs) from Nvidia and other players continue to be the foundational hardware powering the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, Micron's high-bandwidth-memory (HBM) chips are key components in these advanced processors and have become an increasingly important part of the AI infrastructure tech stack. Soaring demand for HBM chips and other AI solutions has completely reshaped the memory and storage markets, with production constraints resulting in surging prices across multiple categories. As a leading provider of HBM chips and other AI memory products, Micron has enjoyed massive valuation gains. Micron has posted huge one-year returns As of this writing on May 25, Micron stock is up 704% over the last year. That means that if you invested $100 in the company 12 months ago and held on to your stake, it would now be worth $804. On the heels of its massive rally, Micron now has a market capitalization of roughly $847 billion and is valued at approximately 7.7 times this year's expected sales and 12.9 times this year's expected earnings. While the company actually looks very cheap on a price-to-earnings basis, the memory-chip market has historically been highly cyclical. The company has already sold all of its production capacity for this year, and strong demand looks poised to continue into 2027.

May 28, 2026 NEW DELHI – Taiwan’s stock market has overtaken India in terms of valuation to become the fifth largest in the world. The rally was primarily driven by the world’s largest chipmaker, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Taiwan’s market capitalisation climbed to $4.95 trillion, while India’s market value declined to $4.92 trillion. Taiwan’s stock market now ranks behind only the United States, mainland China, Japan, and Hong Kong. The surge reflects strong investor confidence in Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem. TSMC now accounts for about 42 per cent of the benchmark index, highlighting significant market concentration. TSMC shares have rallied 49 per cent this year, benefiting from the global boom in Artificial Intelligence, where its semiconductors hold a dominant market position. The sharp rise in market value underscores growing optimism around AI, which has triggered a global rally in technology stocks, disproportionately benefiting manufacturing hubs such as Taiwan and South Korea. Taiwan has also introduced new regulations favouring TSMC. The country’s financial regulator has increased the investment limit for domestic funds in a single stock. Under the revised regulation, funds investing exclusively in Taiwanese equities can now hold up to 25 per cent of their net assets in any listed company whose weighting exceeds 10 per cent in the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Earlier, the limit stood at 10 per cent. Foreign institutional investors have also shifted part of their allocations towards global AI-related opportunities. Recently, brokerage firm Elara Capital stated in a report that early signs are emerging that the global investor rush into AI and commodity trades may be losing momentum, while foreign fund outflows from India have started to moderate. According to the report, foreign investor funds had largely shifted towards markets such as South Korea and Taiwan since April 2025 to capitalise on the AI boom, while Brazil benefited from the comm...
