At least 16 students died in an overnight fire that started in the dormitories of a girls’ boarding school in Kenya , a government official said, in the latest such incident to rock the East African nation. Education Minister Julius Ogamba said on Thursday that 79 others were injured at the Utumishi Girls School, which has more than 800 students in the Gilgil area of central Kenya. "Our decision to go from [traditional internal combustion engine] to plug-in was a very important one for us, and it worked out," Winkelmann told CNBC . "We don't speak about our competitors… but everybody has their own strategy." Lamborghini, owned by Volkswagen ( VWAGY ), scrapped plans for an all-electric Lanzador and a fully electric version of its Urus SUV. Instead, it decided that Lanzador and Urus would continue to be hybrid. "By observing the market… we saw that the acceptance curve [of EVs] for our type of customers is not increasing, and therefore, we decided to move away from a full-electric car into a plug-in hybrid," Winkelmann said. Shares of Ferrari ( RACE ) fell as much as 6% on Tuesday after the luxury carmaker unveiled its first all-electric Luce.
