Enterprise AI agents are stalling — not because of model performance, but because of permissioning. Every agentic workflow eventually hits the same wall: what is this agent allowed to touch, on whose behalf, and how does the system know? Workday's answer is to make its existing system of record the governance layer for agents. Gerrit Kazmaier, the company's president for product and technology, told VentureBeat in an interview that customers often struggle when they cobble together solutions for their agents. “Sana makes sure the integrity of the approvals and security model is always adhered to,” Kazmaier said. “Frankly, that’s where we see customers struggling when they try to build do-it–yourself AI by just accessing raw data, so the richness of the security model gets lost, and the results become overly broad.” Workday, which launched Sana in March , expanded its partnership with Google to bring its Sana agent system of record to the Gemini Enterprise — so agents built on Sana are also discoverable there. Architecting accuracy Kazmaier said the biggest hurdle they faced was ensuring agent accuracy, especially for HR and finance users. “Almost right is not acceptable,” Kazmaier said. “Think about paying people correctly, closing the books or managing work schedules reliably.” Accuracy is harder to evaluate here than in most AI contexts. Policy configurations, role-based security, and organizational hierarchies are deeply interrelated — a small error compounds. And unlike most generative AI outputs, HR and finance queries often lack a correction loop. By the time a paycheck processes incorrectly or an interview is scheduled wrong, the damage is done. Workday addressed this by building Gemini in as its base reasoning layer, then adding its context engine and business process logic on top. Workday also added verification and classification models that “interrogate” outputs before execution. Accuracy and identity, it turns out, are the same question: does the system ...

Japan Crude Imports Fall 66% To Record Low By Tsvetana Paraskova of OilPrice.com Amid the supply disruption in the Middle East, Japan’s crude oil imports crashed by 66% in April from the same month last year, dropping to an all time low, official Japanese data showed on Friday. Japan imported 4.07 million kilolitres, or about 850,000 barrels per day (bpd), of crude oil last month, down by 65.7% from the April 2025 levels, the monthly petroleum statistics of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed. Crude imports from the Middle East region, which delivered more than 90% of Japan’s total crude imports before the war, plunged by 68% in April from a year earlier. Japan’s imports from Saudi Arabia crashed by nearly 58%, and supply from the United Arab Emirate (UAE) to Japan plunged by 69.4%, the Japanese government data showed. Of the total severely reduced crude supply, the Middle East continued to account for more than 90% of Japanese crude imports, at 93.7% in April. Japan in April imported the lowest volume of crude oil from the Middle East on record dating back to 1979 as the Iran war and the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz choked supply from the region. Japan’s crude imports from the Middle East plummeted by 67.2% in April compared to the same month of 2025, provisional trade data from Japan’s Finance Ministry showed last week. The April 2026 volume, estimated in Japan at 3.843 million kiloliters of crude oil, was the lowest since data collection began in 1979. Japan has just welcomed the first shipment of Middle East crude via the Strait of Hormuz since the Iran war began on February 28. Japan is also releasing crude from its strategic reserves as part of an IEA-coordinated global effort to release 400 million barrels of crude and oil products. The ongoing oil stocks release, which is Japan’s biggest ever, is helping Japanese refiners increase throughput. So is alternative supply from producers outside the Middle East, including rare car...

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD), a commission-free trading platform for stocks and crypto, closed Friday at $94.30, up 11.15%. The stock moved higher as investors reacted a slew of good news, including a regulatory green light for U.S. perpetual futures trading. Trading volume reached 63.6 million shares, coming in about 122% above its three-month average of 28.6 million shares. Robinhood Markets IPO'd in 2021 and has grown 148% since going public. How the markets moved today The S&P 500 (SNPINDEX:^GSPC) added 0.22% to finish Friday at 7,580, while the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX:^IXIC) rose 0.20% to close at 26,973. Within financial stocks, industry peers Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW) closed up 2.34% at $87.35 and Interactive Brokers Group (NASDAQ:IBKR) finished up 4.64% at $86.97, reflecting broader strength across brokerage platforms. What this means for investors Robinhood’s performance often mirrors that of lead cryptocurrency Bitcoin, but the pioneering brokerage broke that trend this week: It has gained 24% in the past five days while Bitcoin’s price has fallen by almost 5%. Today’s increase comes as Mizuho lifted its price target for Robinhood from $110 to $115. Yesterday, Citizens also reiterated its “market outperform” rating and $155 price target. One reason for positive analyst sentiment was news that Robinhood users will be able to connect AI agents to their accounts to make trades or credit card purchases. Another boost came from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as it announced it would allow U.S. firms to offer perpetual futures trading. Perpetual futures are a type of derivative contract that has become popular in the crypto world. For investors, Robinhood is still a volatile investment. However, it is making big strides in growing its user base and reducing its reliance on crypto trading, both of which could help it outperform in the years to come. Stocks are supported by prospects for a peace deal in the Middle East, which are easing pressure on crude oil prices and reducing inflation concerns. Also, evidence of relentless demand for AI-infrastructure upgrades is pushing technology stocks higher, led by a 32% surge in Dell Technologies on Friday after it gave a sales outlook that far surpassed analysts’ estimates. Join 200K+ Subscribers: The markets are awaiting President Trump’s approval of a preliminary deal between the US and Iran to extend a ceasefire by 60 days and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump said Friday he's making a "final determination" on a preliminary deal to extend a ceasefire with Iran. Friday’s US economic news showed strength in the economy that is positive for stocks. The May MNI Chicago PMI rose +13.5 to 62.7, stronger than expectations of 50.3 and the strongest pace of expansion in 4.25 years. Fed comments on Friday were mixed for stocks and bonds. On the positive side, San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly said Fed interest rate policy is in a good place and that she's "cautiously optimistic" about the US economy, noting that "there's no urgency to make an adjustment" to interest rates. Also, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari said, "I think it's premature for me to conclude we need to be raising rates right away and that we need to keep watching the data and watching how the conflict in the Middle East unfolds before I want to make any adjustments." On the negative side, Kansas City Fed President Jeff Schmid said, "With inflation running above the Fed's 2% definition of ...

RyanJLane/E+ via Getty Images The drone story is heating up again I last covered ZenaTech, Inc. ( ZENA ) back in July of 2025. Similar to then as now, I believe the stock is at best a Hold, although it has seen a nice selloff year to date, which could entice some buyers. The company is up post the full year 2026 earnings presentation, which saw revenue grow 558% vs 2024. How the small drone stocks are doing Data by YCharts In my previous article, the four main companies I did a valuation comparison on were the following: ZenaTech Red Cat Holdings ( RCAT ) Ondas ( ONDS ) AeroVironment ( AVAV ). Of the group, only RCAT and Ondas have had positive year-to-date total returns. Valuation is not anywhere near as important at this stage as headlines are. Especially headlines related to government contracts. What Zena does Zena tech investor relations The company has positioned itself as a small drone manufacturer across both public and private sectors. As we'll see by the end of the article, a lot of the company expense seems to be geared toward gaining government defense contracts. Zena tech investor relations This is a small-cap company with only a $126 million market cap; thus small progress [compared to the overall drone TAM] by the company makes a big splash on paper. The +558% sales growth number versus 2024 is an important data point going in the right direction. The forward price to sales projections are much more optimistic at 5.63 X sales as per Ycharts. This means that company data and analysts believe there is going to be around $22 million in sales for 2026 vs the $12.9 million in 2025. The company also has a SAAS business that does 3D lidar mapping for construction purposes. The word "quantum" also pops up as part of the software lineup, although it's hard at this stage to determine the development of any quantum software. The technology is still obscure and cryptic for the masses. The labeling may, however, open some doors to other U.S. or Canadian government...

Prasit Supho/iStock via Getty Images Introduction National Beverage Corp. ( FIZZ ) is an American consumer staples (non-alcoholic beverages) company, best known for its LaCroix sparkling water brand. Its portfolio also includes other brands such as Shasta, Faygo, Rip It, and Everfresh, covering the sparkling water, juice, and soft drink segments. Seeking Alpha The approximately 20% decline in FIZZ stock over 1 year is not the result of a major one-time event but of a combination of structural and macro factors, including stagnant revenue and volume growth in a mature sparkling water category, multiple compression amid the disappearance of the growth premium, competitive pressure from Coca-Cola ( KO ), Pepsi ( PEP ), and retailers' private label brands, increased consumer sensitivity in an environment of inflation and high costs, as well as pressure on inputs such as aluminum and logistics, all of which lead to a gradual re-rating of the company from a growth story to a cash-flow stable, low-growth compounder. I believe a "Hold" rating is justified as the company currently trades around what I consider to be fair value for its potential. FIZZ is not alone in this situation, being something common with this type of company (food companies also) and with smaller companies in the industry as well. The business model is relatively simple: the company produces and distributes beverages in North America, with a strong focus on profitability and brand image rather than aggressive volume growth. Virtually everything comes from the United States, and there is only minor exposure in Canada, so the company has practically no real internationalization, which implies that it does not yet benefit from the growth of emerging markets (although it could in the future), while the total addressable market is capped and depends completely on the cycles in US retail, which is a risk to remember. In recent years, FIZZ has been characterized by solid cash flow, little-to-no debt, and great...
