AndreyPopov/iStock via Getty Images Jade Biosciences overview This week, we saw Jade Biosciences ( JBIO ) announce some strong early data , with JADE101 delivering around 70% sustained IgA reductions. There were also hints that this candidate could follow a potentially differentiated once-every-12-week dosing profile, which would definitely be a differentiated edge. However, this remains for the most part biomarker-driven, early-stage evidence in healthy volunteers. So, not yet the proof of clinical benefit in IgA nephropathy patients that I felt the market would have liked to see. The stock did close lower yesterday on the results, which was probably a case of quite high expectations leading into the readout. For me, my view is more of a hold at this stage, since the biology looks promising and supports best-in-class potential, but as for the investment case, it now hinges on whether these effects translate into meaningful patient outcomes in Phase 2 data expected in 2027. Jade Biosciences, Inc. Pipeline In terms of their pipeline , the company seems focused on an autoimmune line-up, of course, led by JADE101. This would be their lead candidate, which is tipped to selectively inhibit APRIL to reduce pathogenic IgA production in IgA nephropathy. Their next program, JADE201, targets the BAFF receptor on B cells to modulate immune activation across much broader autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. Elsewhere, the company also has JADE301, which is a much earlier-stage antibody candidate. Jade Biosciences, Inc. JADE101 As you probably heard, Jade reported some pretty encouraging interim Phase 1 data for their lead candidate JADE101. Just as a bit of background, this is an investigational monoclonal antibody, which they've designed to selectively inhibit APRIL (A Proliferation-Inducing Ligand). Now, APRIL is actually a cytokine central to the overproduction of pathogenic IgA antibodies in IgA nephropathy. So, mechanistically speaking, JADE101 is supposed t...

That’s no surprise – Rivals has revived a lot of things we thought we’d seen the back of: smoking; dinner parties with an aperitif segment; braces (the trouser variant); a haughty expression. Give it a couple of episodes and we’ll have made our peace with naked tennis in time for Wimbledon. Continue reading...

JHVEPhoto/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Investment Thesis This is going to be a controversial one because for 20 to 30 articles straight, the analyst rating has been either a Buy or a Strong Buy for ServiceNow ( NOW ). I’m here to make the bear case. Not because I want to go against the wave just for the sake of it, but because I genuinely think there are strong arguments on this side worth exploring and presenting as well. Stock Price 1-Year (Seeking Alpha) It’s been called a great value investment on a lot of the forums I’ve been browsing prior to this article, as I tried to get a better sense of where retail stood on the stock. Admittedly, the 1-year performance has been nothing but poor, as shares are down nearly 40%. The recent upward move stems largely from a decent last report, which reignited some investor spirit and eroded some market concerns that AI would take all of NOW’s business. I think that latter point is a bit naive to think it would happen. There are other concerns to look at instead. The main concerns I have, and what ultimately leads me to rate this a Sell, is the lacking pricing power I see right now. Renewal rates are falling, and digging into the net-dollar-retention figures, it seems that might be falling as well as NOW continues to focus on fewer deals but with ACV. Then you have the large SBC being an issue too. Valuation isn’t cheap in the short term, and anyone arguing that point I think isn't looking fairly at this. 30x FWD earnings with these issues is not something I want to put my money into. This all really culminates into me rating NOW a Sell as I initiate coverage on the stock. The Operating Model - The Posterchild of SaaS NOW has a pretty straightforward operating model where they sell a product (software) to a variety of businesses. This product is supposed to be a “single source of truth” where tasks and workloads are logged and monitored but importantly also approved and sent off. For instance, you could allocate some work...
