baranozdemir/E+ via Getty Images Credo Technology's ( CRDO ) fourth quarter fiscal 2026 revenue jumped more than 150%, and Chief Financial Officer Daniel Fleming said they expect an 80% surge year over year for the entirety of fiscal 2027. Shares jumped 7% during early market trading on Tuesday, and financial analysts remain overwhelmingly positive on Credo's direction. "On the composition of that growth, management noted that roughly half of the absolute dollar increase in FY27 comes from the optical portfolio, with the other half from the existing copper portfolio, mainly AECs," said Needham analysts, led by N. Quinn Bolton, in a Tuesday investor note. "Non-GAAP gross margin is expected to be broadly consistent with FY26 levels as well. Management also expects NG OPEX to grow ~50% Y/Y, well below the pace of revenue growth, and net margin to be ~50%." Needham increased its fiscal 2027 revenue estimate to $2.45B from $2.35B. It also reiterated its Buy rating and raised its price target to $275 from $220. "Additionally, with the updated guide implying limited AEC upside for FY27 ( with the raise largely driven by Optical ) as well as muted AEC growth in 2H of FY27 ( with the material Optical inflection earmarked for the back half ), copper bears will likely have something to chew on following the print," said J.P. Morgan analysts, led by Joseph Cardoso, in a note. "That said, we expect the AEC implications to be more a function of prudent guidance practices than a sign of a contracting opportunity, with management reiterating AECs as a 'core growth engine,' highlighting broadening adoption across hyperscalers and NeoClouds, and pointing to the upcoming transition from 800G to 1.6T and the associated ASP uplift as supportive long-term tailwinds." J.P. Morgan retained its Overweight rating and upped its target to $250 from $230. Similarly, Roth retained its Buy rating and boosted its price target to $300 from $200. "We are encouraged that CRDO's AEC cabling continues ...

Klaus Vedfelt/DigitalVision via Getty Images Investment thesis Note: This is an update to my previous article . Life360 ( LIF ) continues to execute well despite the concerns about how artificial intelligence could affect software companies. Revenue grew 38% year-over-year in Q1 2026, paying subscribers increased 27%, advertising is becoming a second growth source, and management raised the FY2026 guidance. While it remains uncertain whether Life360 can successfully evolve from a location-sharing app into a kind of family platform, the business looks better today than when I assigned my previous Hold rating. Given the company's nice execution so far and a valuation that looks reasonable relative to its growth, I'm upgrading Life360 from Hold to Buy. My last coverage Life360 is a company that I've covered twice before; both times were hold ratings, and the second time was pretty awkward. At that time the company had just achieved profitability while its paid subscriber base continued to grow. However, I opted for a hold because I thought the market could continue its compression of multiples because of the risk of the 2025 tariffs in the economy. Well, I was completely wrong, since my article marked the bottom, and from there the stock went up 240% in 6 months! My analysis ratings (Seeking Alpha) But that's when the fear of AI and its implications for software arrived. And here we are, with the stock only 35% above the price of my previous coverage while the S&P 500 is up 45% in that same period. Artificial Intelligence, is it a real risk? Historically, investors were willing to pay premium multiples for businesses with recurring revenue and high margins, like software companies. But in recent months, AI has changed the narrative, as the concern today is that software is becoming much easier and cheaper to develop, which is actually true. With the help of AI you can now create functional apps through vibe coding, even if you don't have much knowledge. So, imagine wha...

Merlin Entertainments Ltd could use some magic. Pressure on family budgets is squeezing the global theme park operator, weighing on its debt as it seeks to refinance junk bonds worth more than $800 million. The Blackstone Inc. -backed firm behind Legoland, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life has seen some of its bonds slide close to levels that would typically indicate distress after it reported an underlying loss in the first quarter. High costs, interest payments and fallout from the Iran war are taking their toll. “Merlin could be in trouble – they are hurting from wage inflation and various structural headwinds for the industry,” said Frits Lieuw-Kie-Song , a portfolio manager at Ironshield Capital Management LLP, which has a short position in Merlin bonds. “They also have a lot of debt due.” The disruption to travel caused by conflict in the Middle East, coupled with greater caution among consumers, has depressed visitor numbers at some of its attractions, adding to Merlin’s woes. When S&P cut its credit rating to CCC+ last August, it said the company’s financial structure was unsustainable and dependent on “favorable business, financial and economic conditions.” The most pressing concern among investors is Merlin’s maturing debt. More than €720 million ($838 million) in dollar - and euro -denominated bonds are due in November 2027. In practice, it only has months to find a solution; instruments with less than a year to run face increased scrutiny from ratings agencies, and issuers may lose access to some bank facilities. “The company is overlevered, struggling from an earnings perspective, and the recent results did not read particularly well,” said Ben Pakenham , head of European credit at Polen Capital. “The cash flow picture is poor and, all else being equal, the current position appears unsustainable if left untouched.” With 101 attractions in 21 countries, Merlin is one of the biggest theme park operators in the world. It was a trophy British asset before being ...

The Spurs team is looking to return to basketball's mountaintop for the sixth time, and the Knicks team is looking for its first championship in 53 years. Basketball has a history of dynasties over time when teams have dominated for years: 1957-1969: Boston Celtics 1980-1991 Los Angeles Lakers 1991-1998 Chicago Bulls 1999-2014 Those same San Antonio Spurs in this year’s finals 2015-2022 Golden State Warriors Like these basketball legends, the US stock market has been a stock market dynasty for the past 18 years, consistently outperforming most other stock markets around the world. Recently it has chalked up three double digit winning years in a row and is currently on track for a 4-peat in 2026 with another double digit return. S&P500 The S&P 500 is up 11.2% through May 31, which annualizes to 29%. The US stock market is on trend to another winning big year. What will make it so? What could ruin this party? It all depends on where Price/Earnings ratios trend – up or down. Momentum or Regression to the Mean? Many currently believe that AI-fueled earnings growth will continue to deliver high returns in 2026. High earnings growth is certainly happening, and it is good for stock prices, but the critical factor is investor behavior as revealed in the stock market’s Price/Earnings ratio. Greed drives up P/Es while fear reduces them. High earnings growth of 28% so far this year is fantastic and should have lowered P/E by increasing the “E”, but it did not. P/Es have increased to 41, the 2 nd highest level ever. MacroMicro High P/Es typically signal low subsequent returns because high P/Es typically decline from their frothy levels—they regress toward their historic mean of 15. The average historic price for a dollar of current earnings is $15, not $41. It could be that a dollar of earnings has become more valuable...
