Eugene Zvonkov/iStock via Getty Images Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd ( CRDO ) is down around 4% in pre-market, up from being down around 15% in extended trading on Monday following the company’s Q4 '26 earnings report. Seeking Alpha It seems as though investors rushed to buy the dip, even before market open. The print wasn’t necessarily a disappointment, but it seemed as though the market sold the news post-print, as the stock had run up north of 25% over the past month, over 57% year-to-date, and over 150% quarter to date. Seeking Alpha At that point, good enough results, paired with a double beat , were not enough, and we saw that reflect in the stock movement rather fast. I’m maintaining the stock with a Buy at these levels, and think the Monday pullback, along with the after-hours flush, is a sentiment reset rather than a fundamental one. Nothing in the actual print broke the thesis, but before I get into that, here’s the earnings rundown. Earnings rundown: Credo closed out fiscal 2026 with a Q4 that beat on both lines. Revenue came in at $437.0 million, up 157% year over year and 7.4% sequentially, clearing the $433.3 million consensus by $3.7 million, while non-GAAP EPS of $1.16 topped the $1.03 estimate by $0.13. Profitability remained exceptional, with non-GAAP net income of $226.7 million for the quarter, a 51.9% non-GAAP net margin, and a non-GAAP operating margin of 49.6%. For the full year, revenue reached $1.34 billion, up 206% year over year and more than tripling off the roughly $437 million FY25 base, with the quarter alone matching all of last year. Full-year non-GAAP net income came in at $662 million, more than five times the prior year as well. Guidance is where the story turns. For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, Credo guided revenue to $465 million to $475 million, a $470 million midpoint that sits about $5.3 million above the $464.67 million consensus. The company sees GAAP gross margin of 66.9% to 68.9% and non-GAAP gross margin of 67%...

MF3d/E+ via Getty Images Balancing Growth and Resilience Last month I wrote two articles on emerging market ETFs using a two-dimensional Z-score analysis for growth and resilience. The first article highlighted the JPMorgan ActiveBuilders Emerging Markets Equity ETF ( JEMA ), as an actively managed, superior proxy for owning a broad-market benchmark fund. The second article discussed the outperformers for each dimension of the Z-Score. The iShares Emerging Markets Dividend ETF ( DVYE ) was identified as the most resilient and the Nomura Focused Emerging Markets Equity ETF ( EMEQ ) had the highest growth, with the Freedom 100 Emerging Markets ETF ( FRDM ) getting an honorable mention. I did not discuss the ETF that has the best combination of growth and resilience in either article. This is the iShares Emerging Markets Infrastructure ETF ( EMIF ), which I will discuss in detail in this article. However, for reasons that will become clear, it is not appropriate to allocate 100% to EMIF despite its excellent performance. Having identified several EM ETFs that have useful properties, but having no single ETF that provides the perfect combination of growth and resilience, in this article we tackle this portfolio optimization problem. However, instead of simply choosing two or three of the ETFs based on our analysis of their characteristics with some arbitrary weighting, we return to the entire original universe of 40 ETFs and use Python to create optimal portfolios based on Z-Scores by testing over 200,000 combinations. Letting the algorithm make the decisions is a good way to keep our biases in check, but we don't solely rely on the quantitative analysis and apply discretionary filters derived from fundamental insights. We steer the algorithm to produce three portfolios for three investor inclinations: Balanced, Aggressive and Defensive. I refer the reader to the JEMA article for a full explanation of the Z-score methodology, but the main aspect to realize is the Z-Scor...

Celcuity ( CELC ) shares dropped over 20% in the morning trading on Tuesday after the oncology-focused biotech posted detailed data from a Phase 3 trial testing its lead candidate, gedatolisib, in breast cancer. The Phase 3 VIKTORIA-1 trial, designed to evaluate gedatolisib as a late-line option in combination with other drugs for hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative, had previously met the main goal of progression-free survival. Detailed data from the study announced on Tuesday indicated that experimental therapy was associated with a Grade 5 treatment-related adverse event, which the company attributed to palbociclib. The cancer therapy from Pfizer ( PFE ), marketed as Ibrance, was part of the triplet arm of VIKTORIA-1 along with fulvestrant. The analysis represented VIKTORIA-1’s PIK3CA mutant cohort, in which 350 patients received gedatolisib plus fulvestrant and palbociclib, alpelisib plus fulvestrant, or gedatolisib plus fulvestrant. As for other safety events, roughly 3% in the gedatolisib-triplet group discontinued the trial due to TRAEs compared to about 4% and 7% in the gedatolisib-doublet group and alpelisib plus fulvestrant group, respectively. In terms of median PFS, patients on the gedatolisib doublet lived 11.3 months without cancer progression compared to 5.6 months for those who received alpelisib plus fulvestrant. The results are scheduled for a presentation at the ongoing ASCO meeting on Tuesday. Commenting on the readout, Leerink analyst Andrew Berens raised concerns over the PFS benefit, expecting “CELC shares to be under pressure given the lofty expectations set by the prior Phase 1b data.” “The absolute ~11m PFS was inferior to that seen in the Phase 1b, which may disappoint some investors and pressure CELC shares," Berens, who has an Outperform rating on CELC, argued, according to Bloomberg. The analyst expects positive read-through to Sensei Biotherapeutics ( SNSE ), Relay Therapeutics ( RLAY ), OnKure ...

Sergey Lifanov/iStock via Getty Images Brilliant Earth ( BRLT ) is a very strange case. Sitting on almost $60 million in cash, nearly asset-light, with zero long-term debt, and founders still controlling the business, the company continues to trade like a falling knife. Even though it's not nearly as profitable as peers like Signet Jewelers ( SIG ) and Pandora ( PNDZF ), you can't say the market didn't see potential in the IPO. Brilliant even traded at almost 100x earnings in FY 2021. Seeking Alpha Time passed, and they lost over 90% of their value. Gold skyrocketed, and management had to shift their focus to fine jewelry. It's actually a good strategy. I even commented on it in my previous articles, but suddenly they decided to open showrooms (almost 50 in high-end areas like Beverly Hills), and operating costs increased (SG&A increased from ~38% to almost 60% of revenue at TTM). Showroom in Beverly Hills (Brilliant Earth) For me, it's not special dividends that would save Brilliant Earth, but M&A. And I'm not just talking about them scooping up some operators in the middle-market to gain scale and grow again. Sharks like Signet could buy it for a huge premium, as they did with Blue Nile a few years ago. That's precisely why I've seen Brilliant Earth as a very tactical ' Hold ' ever since. Cheap, but not really worth getting into. But is it still worth holding if you're already a shareholder? I want to resume my coverage of this totally undercover micro-cap to try and answer that. Why BRLT Is Not Institutionally Friendly One of my hunches here is that part of the discount Brilliant Earth is trading at has to do with its capital structure. I don't know if I've told you this before, but Brilliant Earth has three classes of shares. Two of them have only 1 vote each (Class A and Class B), while Class C (held only by the founder) has 10 votes. So, if you consider that almost 85 million shares (more than 80% of the shares) have less than half of all the votes, you can se...

He simply thought he was buying his dream home – a four-bedroom with a panoramic mountain view, 30 minutes north of downtown Denver . Then, in 2014, the drilling started. Oil and gas rigs sprang up, some just 800ft (240m) from his bedroom window. The dream turned to nightmare: loud noises rumbled all night long, and the air stank like exhaust. Neighbors started getting headaches and nosebleeds , and Van Woudenberg developed new respiratory issues. He kept his windows shut and worried about his daughters going outside. Continue reading...
