Eli Lilly 's expanding obesity drug pipeline is giving us little reason to take profits at this point — even after a massive run to record highs. "It's a parabolic spike. I don't buy parabolas," Jim Cramer said on " Squawk on the Street " on Monday. "But I can't sell it. I'm just not going to take that gain." Shares of Eli Lilly traded at all-time highs during Monday's session after the company unveiled new data on its next-generation obesity drug, retatrutide, at the American Diabetes Association conference in New Orleans on Saturday. One of the most encouraging findings was the lower 4-milligram dose of retatrutide, which produced roughly 19% weight loss — comparable to the highest dose of Lilly's blockbuster obesity treatment Zepbound. The Zepbound's max dose is 15 milligrams. Both are injectables. Another difference is that Zepbound is what's called a dual agonist drug. It activates two hormones — GLP-1 to reduce hunger and GIP to help kick-start insulin. Retatrutide is a triple agonist, adding glucagon for a metabolism boost. Wegovy from rival Novo Nordisk only targets GLP-1. Wegovy is both an injectable and a pill. Lilly's weight loss pill is Foundayo, which is off to a strong start. The results reinforced our belief that Eli Lilly is widening its lead in the obesity drug market. "I think the majority view is that Lilly is pulling away, kind of Secretariat-like," Jim said, referring to the legendary racehorse. Investors are increasingly focusing on the strength of Lilly's pipeline. Shares are up about 8% year to date, while Novo Nordisk stock is down roughly 18% over the same stretch. Wall Street analysts were similarly upbeat, arguing that retatrutide's combination of strong efficacy and favorable tolerability could significantly expand its commercial opportunity. Goldman Sachs said Lilly's obesity pipeline highlights a "rapidly evolving next-gen innovation engine." Barclays wrote that retatrutide "delivered on the promise of moving the goal posts in what's p...

Trump Weighs Plan To Buy Chagos Islands, Home To Diego Garcia Military Base The White House is actively considering a plan to purchase the Chagos Islands, potentially undermining the UK's agreement to transfer sovereignty of the strategically vital territory to Mauritius, according to reports. An undated photograph shows an aerial view of Diego Garcia. U.S. Navy via AP US officials have prepared proposals to bypass Britain and negotiate directly for control of Diego Garcia , the key Indian Ocean atoll that hosts a major joint US-UK military base. The idea forms part of broader options being developed by the Trump administration as alternatives to Prime Minister Keir Starmer's plan to cede the islands to Mauritius , which has close ties to China and Iran. Strategic Importance Diego Garcia's location makes it critical for long-range operations. It enables round-the-clock bomber missions, including potential strikes on Iran using B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, and places key areas within striking range. Amid ongoing conflicts involving Iran and China's expanding naval presence, US and UK officials stress the need to maintain a robust chain of global military bases. Senior Trump administration officials worry that transferring control to Mauritius could expose the base to espionage or interference. One former adviser to UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Ben Judah, told the Telegraph that the base has "super secret, super sensitive facilities" that are vital to British and allied capabilities, noting they would be difficult to replicate elsewhere. Background on the UK-Mauritius Deal The UK had agreed to hand sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius while securing a long-term lease for the military base, reportedly involving around £35 billion ($46.7 billion) over 99 years . However, the deal requires US consent due to longstanding agreements governing the base, and Britain has since placed it on hold. President Trump initially appeared open to the arrangement but late...

JHVEPhoto/iStock Editorial via Getty Images Micron in June ’26 Micron Technology, Inc.'s ( MU ) stock's sharp drops and explosive growth represent a few things: 1) By now, this stock is absolutely dependent on the sentiment, or the “mood,” of the market, which makes this position way riskier than it once was. 2) Due to the expensive stock price, but still a violent memory shortage, the stock is way more volatile than most companies of its size and the overall market. Micron Stock At Close/Before The Market These two things are not necessarily bad, but it means a certain type of investor will find an opportunity here. If you’re a trader, whether it’s a swing trader or intraday trader, Micron is definitely the stock to follow, especially in June of 2026, with so many catalysts that could either boost the stock up way higher or easily make it plunge to the lowest levels since April. If you’re a value investor, I’m afraid this train left a long time ago, even though Micron still looks cheap on some metrics. In reality, it’s a very expensive stock as of today. If you’re neither a trader nor a value seeker, Micron is still a stock that can bring nice profits. However, you’d need to “babysit” it and follow the news closely so as not to be left holding the bag if it drops on sentiment, or a few years down the road when the memory demand will start cooling. As a Micron investor myself, I’ve trimmed this stock a few times by now but still left a relatively large position (14% of my riskiest portfolio) in case the market stays in this euphoric mood and takes this stock way higher. I’ve been bullish on Micron for almost a year, and I am still bullish on memory, as the cycle doesn’t seem to get to its peak. However, I previously downgraded Micron from a Strong Buy to Buy in my most recent coverage . This was because the opportunity wasn’t as “sweet” as it used to be when I looked at the valuation, and it was telling me “it cannot be.” Previous Coverage June is going to be an int...

The analyst sees a rare entry point after a 10% pullback, citing 34% year-over-year revenue growth, expanding margins, and aggressive adoption of agentic AI as key factors supporting long-term compounding potential. “ I would expect SHOP to be a long-term beneficiary from agentic AI, as its deep entrenchment in customer workflow may put it in a position to earn a good chunk of any transition to agentic AI in its customer base.” Downgrades Shake Shack ( SHAK ): Downgrade to Hold by Pedro Goulart . Formula 1 held its annual race on the streets of Monte Carlo this past weekend. The event predates the sport—the first Monaco Grand Prix was held in 1929 on a layout that isn't too different from the one used today. Over the years, the buildings have changed, crash barriers appeared, the swimming pool section grew, and the cars eventually got too big and fast to race each other properly on the tight confines of a circuit that one world champion described as "riding a bicycle in your living room." But nestled by the Mediterranean, surrounded by super yachts, F1's least-good race is also its most famous and glamorous. After their home Grands Prix, it's the one many drivers most want to win. Overtaking here is virtually impossible; to see race cars do that around the principality, you'll want to tune into Formula E's visits there. So qualifying on Saturday, which sets the grid order for Sunday's race, was more important than usual. Everyone expected pole to go to one of the two Ferraris. And for the first time this season, the cars wrecked completely flat-out; with no long straights and plenty of braking zones, the cars were not energy-limited for once this season.
