Brandon Moser SpaceX's ( SPCX ) planned initial public offering has attracted demand that exceeds the number of shares available, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter, signaling strong investor interest ahead of what could become the largest stock market debut on record. The banks managing the offering are expected to stop accepting orders from institutional investors after U.S. markets close on Wednesday, according to the report. The move will allow underwriters to assess demand and advise the company on final pricing before the offering is expected to be priced on June 11 and begin trading the following day. SpaceX ( SPCX ) plans to sell 555.6 million shares at $135 each, raising approximately $75 billion. At that price, the company would be valued at roughly $1.8 trillion. The strong response from investors highlights continued enthusiasm for companies tied to artificial intelligence, space technology and advanced communications infrastructure. For investors, the IPO will serve as a major test of market appetite for high-growth technology companies at a time when equity valuations remain elevated. A successful debut could also encourage other large private companies to pursue public listings and provide a boost to the broader IPO market. Retail investors will still be able to place orders through certain brokerage platforms after the institutional deadline. SpaceX has previously indicated that as much as 30% of the offering could be allocated to individual investors. Investor interest has intensified in recent weeks as the company disclosed additional revenue streams tied to artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Last week, SpaceX announced a cloud-services agreement with Alphabet's Google under which the technology company is expected to pay approximately $920 million per month through 2029. SpaceX had previously disclosed a similar arrangement with AI startup Anthropic. The company, formally known as Space Exploration Tec...

Earnings Call Insights: FuelCell Energy (FCEL) Q2 2026 Management View CEO Jason Few framed demand around AI-driven power needs, saying, "AI, digital infrastructure, and high-density compute are driving a step change in power demand, while grid timelines remain too slow to meet that need." He positioned FuelCell Energy for behind-the-meter baseload generation, describing the company’s "DC native continuous platform" and its ability to integrate "high-grade thermal exhaust for absorption chilling" to improve data center PUE. Few said commercial activity shifted sharply toward data centers, noting, "Our pipeline has expanded to 4 gigawatts of submitted proposals," and adding that "Potential data center customers make up about 89% of our pipeline." He also introduced a standardized product offering, stating, "this quarter we introduced the 12.5 megawatt FuelCell Energy Block product." Few announced a larger planned manufacturing scale-up: "we are increasing our planned capacity expansion at the Torrington facility from 350 megawatts to 500 megawatts of annual capacity," and disclosed, "Overall costs associated with this full expansion of the facility will be in the range of $200 to $275 million." He emphasized pacing, saying, "Not ahead of it." CFO Michael Bishop tied the quarter’s operational disruption to Groton and the company’s Korea deliveries, saying, "We expect deliveries of the remaining 6 GGE modules and the upcoming CGN Yulchon Generation or CGN deliveries to drive consistent product revenue in the second half of fiscal 2026." Outlook Management did not provide formal revenue or EPS guidance in the transcript; commentary focused on conversion timing, scale-up plans, and profitability thresholds. Few reiterated a near-term conversion target, stating the company’s goal is "converting submitted proposals into contracted backlog within this fiscal year." Bishop reaffirmed the profitability framework in response to analyst questions: "once we achieved consistent p...

NiseriN/iStock via Getty Images Mozambique could grow its economy by as much as $11B annually , create tens of thousands of jobs, and generate ~$4B/year in fiscal revenue by developing its natural gas deposits, Standard Bank Group said Monday. Exxon's ( XOM ) proposed Rovuma liquefied natural gas project, which is expected to begin production in 2030, will boost economic growth to 4.1% and add $81B to Mozambique's sovereign wealth fund by 2056, as Mozambique moves toward becoming the world's fourth-largest gas supplier, the lender said in the report conducted with Conningarth Economists. The Rovuma project, which is located close to TotalEnergies' $20B project that was delayed by an Islamic State-linked insurgency in 2021 and has recently restarted, will require ~$30B in spending. The project, along with Eni's planned $7.2B floating LNG project, is expected to transform the economy of Mozambique, which is recovering from a civil war that ended in 1992.
