Oil prices jumped and jet fuel costs soared after the U.S.-Iran conflict began on Feb. 28, noted IATA's outgoing director general Willie Walsh , adding to the challenges he said airlines have faced in recent years from the Covid-19 pandemic to the war in Ukraine. "As a result, we expect average jet fuel prices to be 70% higher year-on-year," Walsh said in a report on the State of the Global Air Transport Industry published Sunday. "That will add $100 billion to our collective fuel bill this year." Walsh noted that while travel demand remains resilient, airlines are raising fares to cope, but he said growth will inevitably be slower. "Considering all this, we expect profitability to halve from 2025," Walsh added. "Net profits will fall from $45 billion to $23 billion in 2026, and net margins from 4.2% to 2.0%." Airlines whose balance sheets haven't recovered from Covid-19 and those operating in the Gulf will be most affected, according to Walsh. Raspberry Pi has defied this reality; the latest trading update sent the stock up over 25% last Friday (and rightfully so). The stock is now up 146% since its IPO in 2024. Trading update Raspberry Pi upped its guidance on Friday before the bell on soaring OEM demand. Raspberry Pi is pleased to report that trading in the first half of the year (six months ending 30 June 2026) has been strong, with profitability materially ahead of the comparable period in FY 2025. Units for the first half are expected to be over 4 million and Adjusted EBITDA at least $38m. Performance has been supported by continued growth in unit volumes, a favourable product mix, and the ongoing utilisation of low-density DRAM inventory accumulated throughout FY 2025. The short note included at the bottom of the press release showed just how good these numbers were: As at 4 June 2026, the Board understands the consensus market expectations for FY 2026 adjusted EBITDA, based on published analyst forecasts, to be $42.0m. So analysts estimated $42m in adjusted EBITDA for the full year, and Raspberry Pi has achieved $38m in H1 alone. Not bad. The business is trading substantially ahead of expectations. As the company continues working through its share of troubled tenants, cannabis rescheduling appears poised to dramatically boost the overall credit quality of the tenant base. IIPR looks highly mispriced at a double-digit yield in light of the strong balance sheet. I reiterate my strong buy rating for the stock. IIPR Stock Price I last covered IIPR in February , where I rated the stock a strong buy because of the deep undervaluation and low leverage. The stock has risen by double digits since. Net leases mean that the tenant is responsible for real estate taxes, insurance, and maintenance capital expenditures.
